I used MSM to go back to stock android 10 from an A11 custom ROM and now my Unlocked bought from OnePlus non carry phone has its OEM unlock toggle greyed out. I tried to do the MSM again and the same thing. Does anybody have any experience with this?.
Thanks very much

I was having the same issue earlier but noticed that after I turned the data back on and it connected that it went gray and slid over.

Hello there guys.
I have a tmobile one plus 7 pro.
I flashed my phone with this guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/how-to-convert-tmobile-op7-to-t3935947/
Everything works fine, no more tmobile logo when I boot... But the OEM unlock option is still grayed out.
Also, when I hold the volume UP, Down + insert USB cable, the phone connects to the MSM tool for 3 seconds, and disconnects right away. The phone is no longer staying in that mode.
I want to unlock this thing. :'(
Are you sim unlocked? Your sim has to be unlocked for the oem unlock to stop being greyed out.

I am not sure, how do I find out?
The only thing I did was I flashed my phone with the link I provided, and it did take effect because no more tmobile logo.
How do I sim unlock? do I depend on tmobile or is there something I can patch?
Thanks so much man

You have to either call t-mobile and have them unlock it, or there have been people on the forum who have been unlocking. You also will need to flash back to t-mobile fw
Saw this randomly on the main page: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/t-mobile-op7-pro-sim-unlock-t3957662

Follow the guide in this post to revert back to T Mobile:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...obile-one-plus-7-pro-msm-tool-revert-t3936528
I used this guide to get my T Mobile OP7Pro unlocked:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...-unlock-sim-t-mobile-users-heres-how-t3935327
So there is the possibility of rooting without sim unlocking on tmobile if it's still possible. You have to find the q 3 beta use place the file in you sdcard directory update toggle the oem unlock. Find the a copy of the current firmware "update" them follow one of the many tutorial for unlocking your bootloader. I was able to do this but it was 2 months ago the might have since patched this method
www.xda-developers.com/t-mobile-oneplus-7-pro-root-tutorial/amp
I also suggest you do some research before just asking questions. I took me two weeks to find that when I was looking.
I have a OP8 from Tmobile that they will not unlock. Has anyone found a way to rebrand the 8 away from TMobile without unlocking the bootloader?
I have found the modded MSM tool for the 8T but nothing for the 8 except the original MSM tool.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I've been wondering the exact same thing , all it is is something in the code telling it relock the bootloader after flashing the software and I know that part works because I've downgraded android versions on a locked financed phone three times now... You would think everyone would be asking to make one for the 8 also..
I am also waiting for Unlocking of Oneplus 8 tmobile Bootloader without unlock token

Wait a few days, call in and let 'em know it's because you're developing for the device.
If you're out of your 14 day return window they're generally pretty nice about it, but it'll still depend on the rep you get. (Can't take a return phone thats been unlocked, causes all sorts of issues)

yes, i get unlock code from OnePlus website. after applying for it.
I just received my Flip3 (SM-F711U1) and would like to unlock my bootloader. However developer options is missing the OEM Unlock option. It's completely missing not just grayed out. I read a few articles about needed to change the system date but none of those guides changed anything. Can someone help?
Also, I attempted to call *#*#7378423*#*# to double checked that it wasn't already unlocked and I got a popup saying "Unabled to process the request."
Thank you.

I have no issue unlocking developer options. As my first post said the OEM Unlock option is missing from dev options.

Have you tried through fastboot? (fastboot oem unlock)
Oh, got you. Sorry!
As far as I'm aware samsung devices don't support fastboot. I did attempt to connect it in case I was wrong but was not able to get fastboot to recognize the device.

You can try directly unlock without ticking the oem unlock. By boot into download mode. The other thing is your device or carrier or country wont allow your flip 3 to be unlock. There last step you can try is clean flash via odin with your latest firmware.

I can get into download mode fine but don't know how to use that to unlock directly. Can you give more details?
I tried a clean flach with my latest firmware but it didn't change anything.
It's a US carrier unlocked version I bought directly from Samsung. CSC of XAA. Currently using a T-Mobile SIM.

If you had them enabled on your last phone and you restored from your Google backup, developer options will be enabled. Has happened on all of my phones since Android 9

Thanks, but I was asking @RedHatter271 to see if the restore data might have corrupted the options.

They support bootloader unlock. samsung dont support using fastboot unlock or command at all
if you're in North America, Canada etc Qualcomm chips there do not support bootloader unlocking, at least the Samsung one's don't, not sure about other OEMs.

They used to, so there was always a possibility it returned.
I recently read this article on XDA about unlocking the boot loader on the Fold 3 which results in Samsung disabling the camera (WTH?), Is this a thing on the Flip3 too?
My device is rooted. I have always been able to find the OEM unlock option under developer options without any constraints.
My camera is NOT affected. I can still use it without any issues.
I have an European device (SM-F711B).
Hope this helps some of you to track down whether this is a location or carrier based problem.
Hey Redhatter,
Out of topic question, but are you getting Tmobile 5G just fine?

hey, i have my trusty xiaomi redmi note 6 pro and when trying to unlock the bootloader i get the error 20091 and it just won't let me ,i have downgraded tried with several, flashed the whole rom through fastboot and also with EDL and both of the imes the same issue, i also have tried adding persistent.img (or at least i think it was called) on one of the config files which seems to work for some people but i didn't have luck, if someone can help me with this i will really appreciate it
the phone itself doesn't have mi account lock and it fully works

no, i also don't have access to any of them, i'm just using the normal xiaomi one fom the developer options
I have an old Samsung J3 Eclipse (SM-J327V) that has no OEM Unlock in Developer Options. The phone is approximately 5 years old. I would like to unlock the bootloader on it. I'v tried the suggestions listed on the forum, but they are for new phones to bypass the 7 day waiting period and enable the OEM unlock. I tried them anyway, and they don't work on my J3.
Seems to me that I read that Samsung started hiding the OEM Unlock with Android version 8.0
I was thinking of loading some old version of the official firmware that was Android 7.0 or earlier (if I can find it). Then, hopefully there would be an OEM Unlock that would enable me to unlock the boot loader. Once unlocked, I could flash back to Android 8.1 (newest version for this old device). Would that work? Can you use Odin to downgrade the version of Android?
Comments welcome from all. Thanks!
I've tried following every youtube video and posting on the internet for how to get the hidden OEM unlock back into developer options. None of them work. I swear I have done the process of date resetting dozens of times and it still doesn't work.
Can anybody help? Please! I'd really like to unlock the bootloader. Is there any other way to do this?
