Q: After ROM boot up, I'm getting SetUP wizard errors / other Gapps FC / Black screen on first boot, why ?
A: On marshmallow based Roms, you need to flash ROM and gapps at the same time
TWRP even allows you to flash multiple .zip files
Q: Why no Mediatek Engineering Menu?
A: Its Mediatek proprietary, ugly , not needed on our builds.
Relevant features used on Mediatek E. Menu have been ported to our builds already using aosp / our implementations ( Sensors calibration , Band Mode, etc)
Q: App "x" is not working, why?
A: First make sure the app works under Marshmallow

A: Bluetooth should be backwards compatible , some OEMs don't also follow some guidelines , surely can be improved.

Yes, I'm using stock prebuilt kernel on doogee. But it's a MM (3.18) kernel and the device tree is made for the MM kernel. You can still use it as base but you also need to do changes.

sir, I am pretty much sure about changing blobs and ramdisk. But I am concerned about sepolicy changes. do I need to update those as well? this device tree don't have mediatekril we used to use for kk and lp kernel. So, how can we mtk ril?

Iam ported this ROM to my device with same CPU but settings sometimes flicking with black color is this issue from porting the ROM or this happene also in vowney lite ??

Question... If I backup my current /system/lib/hw/camera.mt6795.so and /system/lib/hw/libcam* and replace it on the new ROM, would the camera work on full resolution (21.5MP)? What else should I do?

1. Slow motion is a proprietary feature from mtk. I will look into the mpx issue. Very busy currently.
2. Can someone try to replace lights.mt6795.so with the stock lights blob?
3. What doesn't work well with 4G?
4. You can use your sdcard as second internal storage. But you can't switch your internal storage and sdcard.
5. I missed to add off screen detection. I will look into it.

nope, volte will never ever work on AOSP for exynos
but the above rom has Volte

but no GSI image is boting up (i tried many) just lingos is booting and in that GSI image fingerprint not working i did not chek other things'
Does LiveFocus in camera work flawlessly on this ROM?
Almost all the other ported roms have a problem with LiveFocus- for me.

Tried a lot of images... not one i could stick with. I think this one is the best on its own. Octopus i found the most stable... was really excited when i saw bootlegger's menu at my fingertips once i got the registration fixed but immediately bailed with no time to fix SIM issue.
This is just the beginning and to go through all the images was fun... slowly this'll get way better.

Camera libs are still 32bits, so Gcam will continue to fail. The J6 will not get 64bit Gcam

If you have the arm64 vendor, then uae ARM64 Aonly. If you have the original vendor, then use A64 Aonly. :>

GSIs are not the most stable and many users prove they are unable to read. they just want ready stuff. with this project that is not the case. if you skip the instructions/F.A.Qs and notes, dont bother installing this project as you probably wont be able to get it running.
Our device don't have Official ANDROID 10 Support, So this is first ever ANDROID 10 implementation to support AOSP GSI's. This is a fully featured System-as-Root VENDOR and KERNEL designed for this device to support ANDROID 10. Changelog listed below !

Q : Do i need to format internal storage ?
A : No
Q : Do it support Android 11 GSI ?
A : Yes, make sure you download arm64-A/B-vndklite GSI
Q : Can i use the Treble recovery for normal ROMs ?
A : Yes, just be sure to wipe vendor when switching to non treble roms
Q : Can i flash any GSIs ?
A : No, only A/B_ARM64 Are supported

A : No unless they match the Arch above

One question. Right now I have to install A-only arm64 ROMs but to install this Quack ONE UI ROM I the install A/B arm64 variant?
Does that mean that I have to install the SaR patch and kernel for Pie Vendor ?

After installing this vendor, you'll need A/B (well, not really a/b but it's labelled like that) GSIs.

Unfotunatelly, Volte will be important in the future as a lot of carrier will stop or already stopped to provide mobilenet on 3G, only voice... So if somebody calls somebody then no internet during calls (sometimes it is needed like Waze)... But a solution could be Viber, Whatsapp etc...)

4g works, just enable LTE from network settings, VoLTE related stuffs will never work on AOSP, as we have exynos

Man, I wanna work on the project too. We have to steal some kernel extensions from the A-only GSI Vendor as OpenGL, Vulkan are somewhat broken and camera is not working. The OneUI 2.0 GSI does see the phone as a Galaxy M20 and therefore not allowing for Always On Display, a feature that can't be missing, and that is the case due to the Galaxy M20 being a TFT LCD phone, not a OLED one... I don't quite know what you did, since I cannot boot with modified build.prop, to report the right phone model, the right hardware version, and the right CPU, since there is Exynos 7885 in the A8, and not the Exynos 7904. Anyway, I would like to work on the project. Maybe we get OneUI 2.5 on this thing and get the OpenGL (which is buggy - runs Minecraft @18fPS when it should exceed 50, and Dolphin crashes instantly) and Vulkan (which is not supported at all in this vendor) to work properly.

Well i have fixed everything, even camera will release when i'm free NO ETA

How much will we have to wait? Is there anything we can do ourselves?
I don't quite like to see one doing the whole work by himself, so I would like to help. What's left to do? I have a linux machine set up and a phone to test modifications step by step. All I need is to know which modifications to add to current vendor build (I really need the good OpenGL+ Vulkan libraries).
