Hey guys,
im looking for a camera app similar to Camera FV-5 and Cinema FV-5. Are there better alternatives out there to record videos with all parameters manually adjustable?
My Nexus 5x supports 120fps (google camera) but I cant seem to use it in Cinema FV-5, any other slow mo cameras out there?
Thanks
It is possibile to set camera flat profile using third party apps like Filmic Pro or Camera FV-5? I know I can set it with Samsung Camera app but only for 1080p 30fps. I want to set flat profile for 60fps or 4K, is there a way to do it?
I have the same problem. I found that Cinema 4k has flat profile in 4k but I can not get it to work on my s7, created files are corrupted...
I hope guys from Filmic Pro will add this option in the future. I have DJI Osmo Mobile, they have already implemented support for this gimbal on iOS and soon it will be supported on Android too.
i have the s7 from AT&T, model SM-G930A. it is running android 7.0
using the default camera app, how to record a "flat" profile and set the aperture??? i was able to set ISO and shutter speed only.
i also tried "Open Camera" and "Camera MX" app. Open Cam gave me full control but whenever I record videos, the mp4 files could not be opened by VLC or windows media player. weird
There is no such thing as variable aperture in S7. I would suggest to try Cinema 4K, it has flat profile, ISO, shutter and manual focus with custom bitrate up to 100mbps. But to be honest, built-in camera is alright. You can make your color profile, lower contrast, highlights and shadows and you have flat profile

i actually bought Cinema 4K. during recording video, i can see the picture stuttering. when i tried to play back the video, it's just stuck on the first frame, there's no motion at all.
sadly, it was too late to get my money back when i found out cinema 4k does not work properly on the samsung s7
I'm looking for same solution
Try filmic pro

Hi all, you might know this already but I just found out and it seems like absolutely great news for this phone. The latest Open Camera update allows you to record video using every camera on the phone. Even the monochrome one works. No need to have perfect lighting conditions in order for the camera to switch between main and telephoto. You now have a dedicated camera button which lets you select what lens to use. Did you get the chance to try it out? I didn't have any issues yet.
Link please
Here it is:

Is the recording quality improved?
I'm not sure. You do have to option to record with maximum 80Mbps but I I find it hard to tell if that is any different from the 30Mbps standard rate. Video looks crisp and clear, colors are very good, especially if you lock the white balance.
Quality seems not as good.. Also can not use Camera API 2, for high res to get extra control in manual mode.
I'm not sure why you can't use camera2 api. For me it works and I can select iso and exposure during filming. I have a CLT L29.

whats your max resolution for recording video using Camera2 API?
For the 40mp lens and the telephoto lens, I have 3840x2160. The monochrome camera however has a resolution of 3264x1840 for video.
Sorry for necropost, but anyone tried open camera for B&W photos? Does it allow exposure bracketing? Raw or at least png for file saving? I would like to try p20 pro just for that monochrome lens...
You can save RAW with the B&W camera but for some reason the pictures appear purple.
Hi all, I am in search of a thrid party camera app that can utilize the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) functionality of A51. I have tried Filmic Pro, Open Camera and Manual DSLR camera app but they failed to provide the EIS functionality, (they do have the option of stabilization but whether it is On or Off, doesn't make any difference). I would be grateful to you for helping me out on this. The reason I need to do this is because the stock camera of A51 doesn't let me change the recording bitrate and framerate. Thanks.
