J710fn: Touch does not work-> How to find out if it is a hardware or firmware problem - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I am a experienced user. I have been lucky to get a J710fn donated to play around because it has a not working touch screen. The person who gave it to me told me that touch stopped working after update to nougat.
I did some research on the internet. There are a lot users of this phone saying they did have the same problem. Downgrading to marshmallow should fix it. Since I updated the phone to the latest firmware it has binary 6.
I don't know if it is a hard- or firmware problem. I tried several stock roms.
If someone can give me a hint if there is a way to find out if it is a hardware problem or other ideas how to solve the problem, I would be grateful.

[Q] No service or just for a seconds :(

Hey guys Ima need your help here:
Yesterday I was updating my Samsung Omnia 7, it has Mango installed but SFR-FR made a new OEM update available with improved firmware and bootloader. So I changed my carrier from 000-88 to SFR-FR, and started updating. From here everything went wrong: error codes floating around, workarounds wouldn't work either, so I thought: let's take a fresh start.
I flashed a UK retail rom (pre-NoDo or something), updated my device to Mango, did the same as I did above and now I was able to install the update successfully. But since everything went wrong, I am stuck with one problem: I have no service, or just service for a few seconds.
With my SIM card is nothing wrong, tried it out in other devices. So I guess it has to do with those updates: maybe one screwed up my firmware a bit? I have no clue. It probably doesn't have anything to do with the hardware, I didn't drop the phone or anything else.
I hope you guys have any idea to see what causes this problem, maybe I can do some tests from the Diagnosis app? Maybe there is a registery value that I need to check? Help is really appreciated

Help please. Update rooted flex2 with old software vers

My Flex2 is LS996ZV4, i bought it in Cuba. It never got any OTA update since i rooted it very early and the software update notification didnt showed up there. Im living now in Peru and the notification does show up (by the way it can be seen in the screenshot), but... the update does not work because the phone is rooted and i find no way to unroot it due to its old software version(V4). Im in some kind of a loophole here
In the mean time, my phone overheat and lags like crazy! And i've been using it like this for almost a year now...
I asked this before, and i got no response, guess is not something easy to do.
Thanks in advance. Any tips will be higly appreciated.
Do some search in the forum and you will find similar threads about this issue for H950 or other variants check if it applies to your model or try it on your own if it works good then you are fine if it doesnt you will have to wait for professional support by other members who have exp with this device
Thanks for the tip @yeyoo. Im starting to believe there is no solution at hand...
I have searched... and almost every advice i read implies going back flashing the stock image and unrooting. But i cant do It because i cant find an image of this old software vers.(v4) to download.
I think you dont need the same version you have you can flash higher version kdz easily and it will remove root automaticly or you can try to update through lg mobile support tool on a pc

[Zenfone 5] Is there no saving this phone??

The bootloader, when unlocked, causes my phone to freeze like crazy. I've tried so many different tools to get to the right one, but it never seems to be working right. There are a lot of custom roms but I can't use them thanks to this problem. Could someone try and suggest which tool I should use based on the device info I have on my phone?
It's a black Zenfone 5 a501cg. I bought it around May/June, 2015. It came with a Kitkat firmware, not sure which. What else.... a WW SKU.
Any help would be appreciated. Also, if there are any who faced this problem and got it solved, help me out here.

[FIXED] Need Help. Galaxy S8 G950FD. Can't flash stock ROM.

[EDIT: SOLVED THE ISSUE BY TRYING THE LATEST FIRMWARE. THANKS ANYWAY!]
I got this phone from a friend, no clue what he's done to it, but I get a "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed"
So I downloaded the stock rom and tried flashing it through ODIN, but I keep getting errors, and it will not let me flash anything. There seems to be no bootloader too, if that's possible, as I can't enter it. I'm now stuck on a screen that tells me "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software"
I haven't rooted a phone or messed around with a phone at this level since the Oneplus One days. Extremely rusty, please help me out.
(also, the phone has G950FD on the back, but download mode claimed it's G950F. it's a dual sim phone. Is this normal?)
(apologies if I'm repeating a threads already dealt with. Can't seem to find threads related, I've forgotten my ways around this forum)
