I updated TWRP for S10 - on my S10E! - FIXED! - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

I did not pay attention and 'upgraded' my working TWRP for S10e to TWRP for S10. No 'e'
Now I'm stuck at the very first boot screen 'Samsung Galaxy S10e, Secured by Knox'. After 6 sec the screen go black and then nothing more. No charging icon.
I'm not able turn off the phone for entering download mode with 'Vol down + Bixby' and USB. Any tip for this?
'Vol down + Power' for 7 sec reboots directly back to the same screen. I have not found any other boot-combinations that works.
The phone does not show up in Win.
Any tip? Hard bricked?

Press and hold volume down, bixby, and power for 10-20 seconds. That should get you to download mode.

Thank you @klabit87, but no change. Adding Bixby to the boot prosess did not change anything. It just reboots to the same very first boot screen.
I'll try to drain my battery to power it off.

Then try without the bixby button. You should be able to force it to bit into download mode.

BTW, on S10 series the classic way to enter Download mode is
-power off
-Vol down + Bixby, then add USB. Connecting USB boots the phone.
Voila, Download mode. Normally.
But I'm even not able to turn off...

I've been able to force it to boot to download by using the key combinations before. It's definitely not hard bricked. It can be recovered.. Just need to get to download mode.

Thank you klabit87, thats kind of good news! Now I just wonder how... I've drained the battery to be able to start from 'off'
(Now I do not know if it even charges? No indication)

MIRACLES!
Battery drained. Bixby + Vol down. Then connected USB (from cherger) and DOWNLOAD MODE!!!
But no connection when connecting to Win. (Yes, drivers installed) Can it be a bad cable? (It's not the original one, and when charging I sometimes got a little warning)

Yeah you'll want to get a good quality cable for sure. But seems like things will be sorted shortly

I lost 'Download Mode' before I got new cable and had to discharge again. New cabel worked as charm, Odin recognized it at once, correct TWRP installed, rebooted to Recovery, installed kernel & Magisk, and everything was back to normal!
Thank you klabit87 for encouraging me!

That's good news! Glad you got it worked out.

Cannot power on phone

So before, my power button gave me issues where it required substantial force to be used in order to get any response. Now all of a sudden, the fingerprint sensor went out as well as the power button itself. When attempting to do a hard reset to correct the problem, the phone won't turn on anymore. So it would seem that the power button no longer works and now I cannot turn on my phone . I've attempted to go into download mode or even the bootloader with little to no luck at all.
Does anyone have an alternative way to power on the phone so I can attempt to backup my data?

This took a lot of trial and error with various button combinations, but I think I found a solution that works.
You must use the wall charger and cord. That's what I used.
1. Press and hold the volume up and down button at the same time.
2. Plug in the wall charger to the charging port.
3. You will see the lg logo on your phone.
4 Right when you see the lg logo unplug the charger from the phone.
5. Continue holding the volume up and down button.
6. LG logo will go away and then come back and your phone should boot.
5. Release the volume up and down button when it starts to boot.
Note: If you don't pull the power cord right when you see the lg logo, it will go into charging mode.
I was able to successfully boot my phone from a powered off state this way 3 times with no problem.
Once you get it booted, you could download an app from the play store to remap a volume button to be a power button as a temporary solution.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teliapp.powervolume
Other options:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=power button to volume button
I hope this helps.

Galaxy s6, boot loop from HELL

Please help me! I own a galaxy s6 (international model, official, not rooted) which is stuck in a boot loop from hell. The led is white (not the usual "boot-up blue") and won't change colour or even turn off. It was the last straw a few hours ago when it randomly restarted, got stuck halfway through the Samsung logo and started making the loudest noise I've ever heard it produce. It was NOT a vibration. Ever since then, it has just been stuck and keeps restarting. When it does get past the "Samsung Galaxy S6" screen it just says 'no command' with the android lying on its back. I'm at a complete and utter loss. It's actually done this a few times this week, but I've always been able to at least boot it into safe mode and uninstall snapchat - which I think is the cause of all this. I can't power off the device, and even when the battery drains completely, the same 'no command' screen appears as soon as it's plugged in. I can't boot it in recovery mode as I can't get it to switch off. I think it may be battery related or even motherboard related. I can't even seem to bypass the 'no command screen. It's just sitting on my floor, charging, overheating and looking all smug. Frankly, I'm pretty damn close to hurling it out of my window.
Also, does anyone know WHY the led is sometimes white or yellow during a boot loop on newer Samsung Phones?
Put the phone in download mode by holding Power + Home + Volume Down buttons. Plug in to Odin and Flash Official Firmware or use SmartSwitch

Thanks but I've tried this several times. The device seems to be completely unresponsive to all commands except a force restart (power key and volume down). I can't put it in download mode or even power it off
have u tried using smart switch emergency firmware recovery? power key and volume down should force it to power down, than enter download mode vol down + home + power key.

if you are not be able to take your phone to download mode then repair center is the only solution.

Pixel2 HardBrick? No Bootloader/ Fastboot Mode - Only Battery Symbol

Hey Guys, sorry for my bad english, i'm from Germany^^
I have a problem... My Pixel is dead. :/
I have try to install a Custom ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/development/rom-aquarios-8-1-0-live-support-volte-t3768174 via TWRP 3.2.2.0..
1. Bootloader Unlock
2. Booting TWRP/ Installing TWRP
3. Wipe Cache and Factory Reset
4. Flash AquariOS.ZIP via ADB Sideload
5. Reboot -> Dead
No Bootloader/ Fastboot mode reachable. Only the Battery Symbol shows, when i plugged the Phone via USB to the Computer/ Charger.
Before that, Android 10 Stock was installed. The Custom ROM Based on Android 9.0.
The Device is not recognized by the computer.. I really do not know anymore.
Is my Pixel now an expensive paperweight?
If more information is needed, please let me know.
Hope someone can help me^^
Thanks.
What happens when you press Vol. Up + Vol. Down + Power Button all at the same time? Hold them for a minute or two it should hard reset the phone.

Nothing else like the other buttons
But after 30 Seconds the Phone vibrating. ...turns on, off, on off...
The battery seems to be discharged. Must connect the cell phone to the charger after a short time.

Charge the phone first and try once again. I think it's just the battery. The fact that it vibrates when you press the 3 buttons means the phone is still alive. [the red LED means the battery is fully discharge]
Note: Release the buttons once it vibrates

Samsung J4 Core Bootloader

Hi guys, I can’t seem to find this anywhere on the forums.
I’ve inherited a Samsung J4 Core for a work mobile. It currently doesn’t turn on properly, but I know there is charge.
When I hold down the power button + Up & Down keys, this should boot into the Bootloader. My issue is that it boots up, but then quickly shuts down after a brief blue screen with what looks like a yellow triangle and the laying down Android robot.
Being as I can’t access the Bootloader, it doesn’t appear I can wipe/clear the rom properly. Does anyone know a work around as I obviously need this for a work mobile.
Thanks.

Download mode is Power + VOL down + VOL UP with USB cable plugged in.
The blue screen you are talking about is recovery mode. If it shuts off like you say the battery is completely flat.

It's bizarre as I've had the phone charging via the normal wall charger overnight and it still has the same results. Likewise with your above method with all the keys held down I'm still getting the same error. I'm now at a point where I haven't a clue what to do.

If you don't see the charging symbol it won't charge in this state.
The only method I know is to boot it to the download mode confirmation screen and leave it in that state while charging it overnight (may even take longer). There will be no charging notification.
Once it has at least 1% charge it should be possible to boot to Recovery mode with the USB cable attached and charge it properly.

Thanks, but even with that, it won't boot into the download mode either - just flashes and turns straight off., even with the USB cable plugged into my laptop.

Everything. Using the method to get into the download mode itself, the phone turns on and for a brief moment a blue screen flashes with the yellow warning triangle and some, what I presume, error messages and the phone turns off.

Hi, One Plus that won't turn on, won't charge, won't get into recovery mode

Hi, I have a One Plus 8T that won't turn on, won't charge, won't get into recovery mode, the screen remains black, won't vibrate on changing ringing mode either and gets recognized as QUSB_BULK_CID:xxxx_SN:xxxxxxxx when connected to the laptop. Phone was in my hand and in a perfectly good condition when it happened. I tried all the physical keys and their combinations many times. Is there any solution to this?

You're in EDL mode. Hold power button and volume up button until it reboots. Then see where you are. However, you may need to use this tool to flash back to stock - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.4180837/

one thing i want to add here is when phone is conected to a laptop and i press Vol Up + Power key, i hear a beep on laptop (may be it does the reboot) but screen remains black. I dont think the issue is with the disoplay.
Then you will need to use the msm tool. Your phone seems to boot into EDL mode just fine. Follow the instructions in that link.
