There seems to be a very large amount of [Q] threads posted here in the general section.
There is a specific Q&A section here! PLEASE USE IT!!
The general section is NOT for asking questions!
This not only helps to keep the forums tidy and easier to navigate, it ensures that users with a problem can get the help they require quickly and easily.
A cluttered forum isn't much use to anyone.
Thanks.
As of now [25/7/11] misplaced threads are subject to being locked/deleted without notice. DO NOT PM me to complain because you probably will not receive a response.
If you are unable to figure out that [Q]'s belong in the Q&A section then there is very little chance you will manage to hack your device without running into trouble....

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I do believe there is something wrong with my account permissions.
I don't have access to the "Quick Reply" option, nor can I enter many other forums on XDA, meaning forums that aren't out of the ordinary.
Could someone point me in the right direction? I'm not causing any trouble here on the site.

Well, I can't post a quick reply at all. It's just grayed out no matter what I do. I have to do the long method of replying.

Thanks. I'll look into it later today.
Are you clicking the Quick Reply at the bottom of the thread? If so, that's your problem. Click it across from a comment. Check this pic...

You need to read the stickies. You'll need to learn how to use Odin and flash a recovery. Don't keep posting New threads.

Make sure to read everything thoroughly! You have to be sure on what you are doing otherwise you will end up with a paperweight. The stickies are a great place to gather the knowledge and there are a multitude of detailed guides out there to help you along the way. If you have questions after already doing your "homework" then everyone will be more than happy to help you out.
To answer some of your questions, your contacts should be linked to your Google account and thus will come back as soon as you sign in. The apps can be backed up on titanium backup. Pics/vids/etc can be moved to external SD card. You can use my backup root from play store (free) to store text messages.

Something wrong?
In the last few days I recognized that when replying to another post via the xda app, I have to click twice on the "Post it" button.
I will do some more tests and report back, how to reproduce this issue.

Now it works after first click.
Maybe just a temporarily issue.
