Hi guys, my moto one hyper is bricked. Somehow trying to downgrade the phone I manage to brick it. It's not booting up, it keeps rebooting to fastboot. I can't flash stock ROM through commands. Every command I send fails because the bootloader is locked. I've tried this Motorola software rescue and smart assistant and it didn't find match to the phone. RSD Lite doesn't show the device. So I'm running out of solutions... Does anyone know another method? Something like EDL with QFIL IDK...(I've used that method with Lenovo phones)
Do you have locked the bootloader after upgrading and do you have upgraded to 11?
Do you have tried 'fastboot oem get_unlock_data' or 'fastboot oem unlock ...'?

Hi all,
Please help me with this, i have a Moto Maxx with locked bootloader, it was into 6.0.1 brasil and it was downgraded to 5.0.2 Chile without being bootloader unlocked. now it is looping into fastboot mode with the following log:
Version downgraded fot boot
Failed to validate boot image: ret=-4
Fastboot reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode
Version downgraded for boot
failed to validate boot image: ret=-4
Boot up failed.
It is not recognized by fastboot devices, it stays into waiting for device.
In Devices manager it comes out as Fastboot quark S
if i put the qualcom drivers it happens the same.
i been trying with different tutorials but as it is not recognized by fastboot or ADB i only go to a dead end., if anybody has a way to fix this will be apriciate.
Please help me with this to recover this phone.
Sorry about my english.
Regards

1) You can not downgrade firmware on these Quarks with a locked bootloader. On the XT1225 and XT1250 Moto Maxx, bootloader unlock is FREE through request to Motorola website.
The first thing you do on these phones is unlock the bootloader! Unlocked bootloader is "god" mode.
I explain how to do it here:
UPDATED GUIDE: How to unlock your MOTO MAXX/MOTO TURBO bootloader/install TWRP/root
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/general/guide-how-to-unlock-moto-maxx-moto-t3455341
Even with an UNlocked bootloader, to downgrade firmware you have to omit the gpt.bin flash command. So, you probably still would have temporarily bricked your phone, since you don't seem to know anything about this phone -- but you could have easily recovered by re-flashing again. Unlocked bootloader is very forgiving!
I hate to sound this way, but you really, really should have even done basic research on this phone before trying to do what you did.
So, how can you fix this?
2) Your only way to recover your phone is to re-flash same firrmware you were on or newer. In this case, it would be the Brazil 6.0.1 firmware, and it would be good to make sure you flash the very newest -- because it needs to be the same bootloader version or newer.
This is the most recent Brazil 6.0.1 stock firmware:
XT1225_QUARK_RETBR_6.0.1_MPGS24.107-70.2-2_cid12_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml.zip
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=385035244224403573
3) You will need to use RSDLite or ADB. You said it will not recognize the device in ADB, so try RSDLite -- or try them both on another PC. Make sure you have the latest Motorola drivers for PC.
https://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/solution/MS88481
4) if you can't get any computer to recognize the device to flash in RSD or ADB, there are a couple of other unbrick methods for Quark, but I have no experience with them:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/turbo-unbrick-t3139811
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-maxx/general/tuto-unbrick-xt1225-100-t3483623
Yes, one is in the Droid Turbo forum but Quark is Quark.
Good luck.
I recently soft bricked my mi max 3 by activating the anti rollback and locking the boot loader.
Currently i can access fastboot and the miui recovering menu. When trying to flash any rom I get error codes (Because my bootloader is locked)
I've heard that i can flash back to the previous rom installed on this phone but i have no idea what that was. When trying to unlock the bootloader i get an error about "Device not bound to this account"
I am wondering if my only option is to do the testpoint method but i havent been able to find any full tutorials on this.
Any and all help is appreciated
Hi friends, I own one Asus Zenfone max pro m1 and I recently wanted it's bootloader to be unlocked and I tried the unofficial method but didn't worked. So I chose the official method. It wasn't a good experience because I was successful after several attempts. Don't know why... But after installing and unintalling and then reinstalling the unlock tool several times somehow I managed to unlock the bootloader. Now it's showing fastboot mode instead of csc fastboot so I believe it's bootloader is unlocked.
But as I tried to flash twrp using Bugjaeger app from another phone(since I think I'm having issues with usb 3.0 port on my lap) it's showing "Flashing not allowed in Lock state".
How can I be sure to know if my bootloader is unlocked or not? And whatif I flash rom directly(using adb/fastboot) without twrp with Corvos OS? Will O be stuck on a boot loop?
I finally came to solve my problem by trying to unlock the bootloader again and again by official method. And after 3 attempts it was succesfully unlocked (unlocked properly). I could flash twrp without any difficulties and Im on Abhix Rog version now..
I've recently bricked my device trying to install LineageOS, long story short I had to use MSM Tool in order to flash a new, stock ROM. Since I did that I am unable to unlock the bootloader: everytime I do the phone bricks with this following Yellow message on the screen: "upgrade download failed please check your download flow is right". After that I have to use the MSM Tool again to unbrick the Yellow text.
Any ideata how I might unlock the bootloader? Aside from that, the phone works fine.
EDIT: I managed to fix this by OEM updating my device to Android 11 and *then* unlocking the bootloader. Another issue has arisen now, though: whenever I try to boot TWRP from fastboot, the phone reboots and gets stuck in the "Fastboot Mode" OnePlus logo screen. Would anyone know how to fix this, or maybe is there a way to root your phone without using a custom recovery?

Yes you can ,,install thru boot loader with ADB and fastboot CMD. First you need to extract the boot.img from your oos rom, patch it in magisk app, then put it in your adb folder and run the cmd " fastboot flash boot boot.img .
So, i recently flashed arrow os 12.1 on my poco x4 pro (veux) using twrp. Flashing the rom removed twrp and now i cant flash it back because fastboot says that my bootloader is locked...
Of course, it isn't and the problem is that allow oem unlocking isn't on... I really would appreciate some help because i've been stuck on this rom for a day.
Gonna wait for some answers, thank you.
In the first place, flashing the rom shouldn't relock your bootloader. Can you please reboot to fastboot mode and use mi unlock tool with the same account you used to unlock bootloader first time.

Thank you for your response. Sadly i already tried that and the tool says that the phone is unlocked.
I'm trying to reflash stock rom via EDL mode, but i always get some error.
By the way, when using fastboot getvar command, it says that my bootloader is locked.
So, i recently bought a poco x4 pro (veux) and flashed a custom rom using twrp. Sadly, the rom's recovery managed to overwrite twrp and when i tried to flash twrp back, i could not flash it because fastboot said my bootloader wasn't unlocked. When i tried to unlock the phone again the xiaomi tool said that the bootloader was already unlocked. So, i used the getvar command which said that my bootloader was locked. So, i remembered that i didnt turn on allow oem unlocking in developer options. Sadly, when i looked for it the setting wasn't there. I tried using Edl mode to go back to stock but with no success. I always get some failed to read hello packet error. Can someone give me any help? Im kinda getting desperate...

Go to service centre if it is critical. I have never seen such case so i couldn't help. I am afraid that you would have to pay the service centre people money for reflashing your device.
Also have you tried flashing fastboot ROM (MIUI) through fastboot? Also try to flash stock recovery rom via the recovery you have now currently.
Another thing you could try is using the Xiaomi official flashing utility (which is not unlock tool) to flash stock rom which does not require OEM unlock.
