Hello,
I am still holding on to my LG G4 Beat (or LG G4s) with model number LG-H735. My current Android version is 5.1.1 and would like to upgrade it to Android 6.
I am unable to perform the update from "Settings -> About Phone -> Update Center -> Software Update -> Check now for update" as the phone responds with "You are using the latest software version for current OS". However, Android 6 stock ROMs have been released in many countries.
I got my hands on a stock ROM named "H73520a_00_0316.kdz" from KFHost, and I wonder if it can be flashed to my phone with the following information:
- Basedband: MPSS.DPM.2.0.c11-00022-M8936FAAAANUZM-1
- Build number: LMY47V
- Software version: V10c-GLOBAL.COM
I tried extracting the KDZ file and then the DZ file inside it to hopefully find a ReadMe that tells me to go ahead or stop, but I got a bunch of files of which I could not make much sense.
Any guidance is very much appreciated on whether or not I should flash this Stock ROM to my device; or even better how can I decide this for myself?
Cheers.

I search alot but every time save the update file in SD card and run it from the recovery menu some error used to appear. How after alot of search on the internet i found one update file which was from GRH78 (Android 2.3.1) to GRH78C (Android 2.3.2). This upgrade was successful.
But now again i am searching for the upgrade file to update my phone to Android 4.0.4 . I found update file from GRH78c to latest build but none of them is working on my phone.
My phone is currently with the following upgrade version. Plz see this and help me in it. I will be very much thankful to you all out there.
Model Number : Nexus s

Is it unlocked? Rooted?
Yes, your device is completely capable of flashing and upgrading to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.4) and even Jelly Bean (4.1.2).
While there are two ways to do that but since you already mentioned that you want to use Custom ROMs available on net, then this guide is the solution to it.
It will help you unlock your bootloader and Install a custom Recovery which in turn will enable you to flash custom ROMs on your device.
You can choose a Custom ROM which meets your requirements available here in Nexus S Android Development Section.

Before you muck about with your phone, go here and read up. You do need some basic info so you have less chance of surprising yourself if something goes wrong. It has excellent info.

Following that, fundamentally, I'd do a clean install. You will lose your phones data, unless you save via Titanium, or the like. You can get the LP files, et al, from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-20f-stock-rom-debloated-t3059610
1. unlock the phone via PC/ADB, then adb flash TWRP.
2. reboot phone, copy following files to phones external SD card (hope you have one)
modem
ROM
SuperSu
TWRP (already done but I do it anyway)
3. reboot to recovery and select the 4 files above from the install menu. I use the order above and works perfectly. Slide to install. Reboot into your system after the install. The initial install is very quick, after you reboot your phone to system, it will take some time to fully finish the install, 10 minutes or so.
4. Done. You will not have a direct menu to enter recovery after that, but get "Quick Boot" from PS, and that solves that.
This is how I've been doing LP, and no issues. I tried a dirty install, and had the same functionality as a clean install, except the dirty install had an Antutu of 23K. Previous I had an Antutu of 35-36K on KK. With a clean install on LP I have an about 40K.
.
HI, Did you upgrade to android 5.0 at the end as I'm stuck in the same situation?
Hey guys, i've got a few questions.
I just got this new phone:
Model Number: SM-G930T
Android Version: 6.0.1
Baseband Version: G930TUVU4APK4
BUILD NUMBER: MMB29M.G930TUVU4APK1
I am using this phone outside of the US (not on T-Mobile).
I tried to update it manually from the phone settings and it keeps saying "the device is up to date".
I tried also to update it from PC with Samsung smart switch without any success.
Here are the questions:
1. Why am i blocked to updates?
2. Is there any way to update this phone manually? what is the easiest way?
3. Do I have to root the device in order to update the android version?
4. Can I update it directly to the last android version available (8.0.0)? or do i have to to it by steps?
Thank you very much!
I'm no expert, but I suspect flashing the latest firmware with Odin would do the trick. I was able to do that on a T-Mobile phone while abroad, so I expect it should work for you as well.
I have an Samsung Galaxy S7 from AT&T and last week, I received a forced System Update.
Since the update I'm unable to rollback any of the Google App's, such as Play Store or Play Services.
Android Version: 8.0.0
Samsung Experience Version: 9.0
Baseband Version: G930AUCU8CSA3
Kernel Version: 3.18.71-14365146-ENG [email protected]#1
Build Number: R16NW.G930AUCU8CSA3
Knox Version: 3.1 API Level 5 TIMA 3.3.0
At this point, I would like to my phone, however I've tried probably 15 different variations of instructions and I either end up with a file that wont even get to a point where Odin can start pushing the file, or I hit the "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1" error (and it's other variations).
I would greatly appreciate if someone could provide some guidance on where I can find the correct files, and instructions on how to get my phone to a rooted point.
Or roll back the Google Apps
you will have no luck sorry..but if you want to block gps use tin foil over the top of the phone
