What do you mean you can't boot into fastboot?
Can you completely shutdown the device? By holding the power button long enough until screen off.

Press all 3 physical buttons until reboot is possible or not?
hold power+vol up+vol down
Your usb cable should be disconnected from your laptop or charger when you are holding power buttons or the 3 buttons.
i tried but it's useless
thank you
So completely no Poco or MIUI logo? Not even a battery indicator?
Then either bring it to Xiaomi customer service or find this guy mentioned.

He seems to have an authorized account for Xiaomi. EDL can be done with authorized account. But you have to wait for his reply and pay what he charge you.
Xiaomi customer service or repair center should do it fast but may be expensive.

If you are still waiting, here's a thread about exit EDL to try, though it is a different device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/cant-exit-edl-mode-op6t.3909138/#post-80933577
Read through the whole thread and try all what they said. Maybe your device is just stuck in EDL mode.
You have to continue pressing those buttons together long enough until the device vibrate as those thread said.

I once hard bricked a MiPad in a similar way, the only fix I could come up with was cracking the shell and disconnecting the battery manually, I left it disconnected whilst I went away and made a sandwich then plugged it back in and started charging the device again, this allowed it to take juice and boot back up. It's a pretty extreme fix I understand so consider it as a last resort.

Also, when you try to boot into fastboot, it does vibrate, right? Your computer should acknowledge the device is connected if that's the case.

I have the same exact problem. My computer is acknowledged that the phone is being connected, it makes a classic windows sound of connected device into USB. But visual notification is not there as well as there is no new device displayed in the system. This just happens when I try to fastboot (power on + up button).

I fixed it! I just had to spend a glorious Saturday draining my phone's battery to literally 0 (I spent around 8 hours holding and releasing the power button so it could drain) and then I just connected it to my laptop. At first, it didn't work but I tried a couple more times disconnecting and connecting it to my laptop and now it works like nothing ever happened. I really hope this works for you and if it doesn't then I'm sorry. Good luck! :good:

Hello,
First: i'm sorry if i don't speak perfectly english but I hope someone could help me.
I got a one and a half years old Honor 6X BLN-L21 and it is almost bricked.
A year ago I tried to unlock the bootloader, to root my phone. I did a mistake which made me want to get back to normal rom by removing TWRP.
Since this moment, I can't update my phone or relock bootloader because:
- Every reboot there is a "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" message
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- I can't lock my bootloader because I can't access bootloader, because it needs a reboot and I get this message every reboot
- I can't update my phone for the same reason
- I can't access to recovery because it reboots everytime I turn off my phone one second later so it makes impossible to access recovery with volume buttons + power button
So I can't put a new rom with sdcard dload folder.
I can access my phone by waiting for it to get discharged, and then powering it with usb cable, and it boots normally.
Please help me, I really want to move to android Oreo.
Thanks
You should be able to boot to fastboot.
Connect phone to pc, press power key and once its in the process of shutdown, keep pressing the volume down key.

Power button to the shutdown, and then volume down, but it doesn't have the time because whatever i do, it restarts automatically as fast as possible
EDIT: I didn't understood why, but fastboot worked suddenly. I relocked my bootloader but I can't update my phone. Stuck in EMUI 5.1 because when I update eRecovery says my data partition is highly damaged and need to format. I did 2 formats but the eRecovery still blocks update with the same message.

Why did you relock the boot loader tho. Unlock it and then follow Shashanks Guide. Works perfectly.

Yr phone should (always) be able to enter download mode.
Just press power + vol down with USB (connected to PC) and turn of, then power + vol up untill download mode starts.
As said, it'll always start download mode.
There you can just flash repair Firmware in ODIN and get it back to "pre"normal working state.

No download mode. It's currupt or something. Stays in vcom no matter what I flash successfully. Verified boot is enabled. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've always flashed my mediatek devices successfully eventually but they never actually flash if you know what I mean. Flashing the preloader doesn't give me download mode back.
Hi everyone,
First of all I hope this to be the right place for this question.
I was trying to access Fastboot for the first time to start a TWRP+EliteROM install from the stock MIUI 13, pressing VOLUME DOWN + POWER but when my Xiaomi 12 restarted it stuck just at the FASTBOOT logo.
It is not bricked (I could not even tryed to install nothing) because pressing the power button again it restarts Miui without problems. I also can access the Recovery menu pressing VOLUME UP + POWER.
Any Idea will be welcome!
Thanks in advanced

Sorry, I thought that "trying to access Fastboot for the first time" was clear enough.
I've found that one of the issues was that I had not insert any SIM card so I couldn't find "Mi Unlock status" y Developer Options. Now I can see it but even with Wi-fi off and Mobile data activated and running, when I try to Add Account and Device I get a "Connet to the net and Try again" message even having the device already linked in my Xiaomi account.
Anyway I tried unlocking and I get the message in the next image:

Until then you will have time to document yourself on how to flash a rom with Twrp or in Fastboot mode, in lower case.
