You can buy a USB-C adapter that has a headphone jack on it, but sadly that's the only option.

Headphone Jack Longer Than Headphone Plug

Hi. I purchased a Star Note i9220 n9000 a few months ago and I wanted to plug in new headphones. The headphones that came with the phone fit the jack perfectly and I can hear out of it just fine but when I plug in different headphones, the plug is too short and the jack is too long. Does anyone know where I can purchase an adapter or headphones with a longer 3.5mm plug? I also posted a picture to compare. Notice how the one on the right is a little longer and has 3 ridges instead of two.

No that is not the picture of the earphones, but if it's made by the same company then they should use the same jack and headphones. I bought my phone off Amazon, just look up Star Note n9000. Normal 3.5mm headphones have plugs that are too short, the headphones that came with the phone are still 3.5mm but they are a bit longer. So I need help finding an adapter or headphones that have the special longer plug. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Also, the headphones in that picture look like they might work on my phone. Do you think you could send me a link to those headphones if you can?
Hey guys, I'm giving up on trying to find headphones that work with my phone. I'll just buy a wireless, bluetooth one now.
Update: I changed my mind, i'm not giving up on trying to find compatible headphones for my phone.
normally 3.5 is 3.5, but from the way it looks these are more like 3.6 or 3.7 so it looks like they have their own headphone type or something

I'm pretty sure that the 3.5mm is the diameter instead of the length. So both of the headphone plugs in the picture are 3.5mm. It's just that the one on the right's length is a little longer than the other one. I really need help trying to find an adapter for this or finding some other headphones with the longer plug. I also figured out what the three rings/ridges on the other plug meant. The third ring is for the microphone. So I tried to find earbuds with a microphone, although i am not sure if all earbuds with microphones have a plug that's longer than standard earbuds.
Hey guys i found some earbuds that might work with my phone.

I am not entirely sure if these will work with my phone but they have the three ridges on the plug that my current headphones have. Please notify me if you don't think these will work or if you think they will.

Not really needed.
The short one: 3.5mm 2 (or 3) conductor stereo jack (TRS - Tip ring sleeve)
The long one: 3.5mm 4 conductor stereo + mic jack (TRRS - Tip ring ring sleeve)
So, all in all, just look on the net for TRRS to TRS adapter. Should run you 10$ at most. They're a bit rare but hey you'll be able to use any headphones with any stereo jack.

both of these types should be the same size, and most phones are compatible with both types, so an adapter shouldn't be neccesary.

Edit: I think Apple uses a TRRS connector that is the same size, but that's pretty much the only exception, because surprise surprise it's Apple.

USB C Headphone Adaptor

I have Honestly no way to understand how Motorola will now refuse to sell the USB C headphone adaptor to its customers that pay 750.00 on the MOTO Z FORCE. I honestly can not believe I purchased this phone and NO WAY TO UNLOCK (Verizon) OR ROOT???????!!!!!!!!!!
If you purchase this adaptor on amazon or ebay you will not find one that works or it will not last long so does anyone one have a suggestion as to how we can find this Adaptor??? Can't get it from Verizon or Motorola so what do we do????
Perhaps they didn't understand what you wanted? Anyway, there have been threads like this before. Here are a couple:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3471022
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3437638
I ended up getting a replacement for free. When you call, be nice and try to speak clearly. If the person you talk to won't help you, call again. Don't ask for a free one, just explain your situation. If they don't offer to send you one call and talk to someone else.
I also ordered these ones from Amazon;
Rancco Type C to 3.5mm Audio Headphone Stereo Adapter Connector, 2 Pcs USB 3.1/ USB C to 3.5mm Audio Microphone Female Adapter for New Macbook 2015, XPS13, CDLA, Headphone,Type C Port Devices https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KJNN2PW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_wjVoybJNM7C2R
They work just like the original. I ended up using shrink tubing to "permanently" attach an adapter to my main pair of headphones. The other I use in my with truck.

Has anyone tried using USB-C Headphones?

Hello everyone!
This might be stupid question, but I've read about certain phones having issues with it...
Has anyone tried using USB-C headphones with the Pixel? My headphone jack is screwed up, but I'm content to just use USB-C instead, however, I want to be sure that it works before I order new headphones. I know bluetooth headphones are another option, but between deprecation of sound quality and having to charge them I'm not sure I want to go that route.
In addition to that, recommendations for USB-C headphones?
Your headphone jack is screwed up? RMA
Why not RMA it? Anyway, I'll check with my adapters in a bit.

My Fiio K1 works perfectly with a microUSB to type-c. It is a small and cheap DAC/amp that can drive anything that I personally throw at it. Even does an OK job pushing my Q701s. Just make sure you use a good cable. I am using a Fusion4K microUSB to type-c. I tried a few adapters and no-name cables, and they did not work.

I didn't really feel like going through RMA because the headphone jack wasn't a huge issue for me, as long as USB-C is a viable alternative. My concern was that some phones have issues with it due to the DAC being built into the C-headphones.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but to RMA with Verizon do they send the device and then you send yours back? I can't really afford to go without my phone for a week or whatever.

I'm not sure about the specifics of RMA through Verizon but I wouldn't trust a phone where one component was obviously faulty.

Nether of my 3.5mm to USB-C adapters worked. One came with my Moto Z and the other from Amazon. I don't have headphones that only have a USB-C plug. When I was looking for them there weren't many and the ones available had really bad reviews.
I would like to point out that only having a USB-C port isn't as magical as it sounds. I personally loath it. It's no fun having to keep track of the adapter. One of the reasons I bought the Pixel was because of the headphone jack.

Are you able to use the Pixel with the K1 as plug-n-play? Meaning you don't need a music app to play through them, so I could listen to Spotify or other apps?

Verizon overnighted a replacement to me and had me put the defective device in that box and send back. This was because my phone was freezing and rebooting an absurd amount. I'm not sure if they would do that for a headphone jack though

Well, I finally got around to testing the to I have. One is the original that came with my HTC U11. The other is the one that came with the Pixel 2. The official one from HTC is 10x better in sound quality. I was amazed at the difference it makes with a high level audio system.
The one made by Razer sounds amazing too! Much better than using the Sonic headphones that came with the phone.

It's crazy how much they cost., and it's just to adapt to the majority of headset/earplugs, which have a 3.5 mm jack.

NEITHER of these work ONLY CHARGE Phone. Same error POPUP
My previous post for the other adapters DO work but they are only Head Phone adapters ONLY.
( hence this is why I am looking for an adapter that will charge the phone while connected to my home stereo AUX input )
The HTC U12+ is COMPLETELY STOCK (NO ROOT or special software installed in it )
I even went to the point as to resetting and wiping out the phone since i really do not have much on it so I was not going to loose anything .
You can use "Audio Router" app to use these adapters (they are not working because there is no DAC inside).

All USB-C dongles have DACs
All of them.
USB-C outputs data, not audio. The dongle (be it Google's, HTC's, Apple's or Sony's) is what converts to an audio signal.
