what exactly is the cause of "INSTALL_FAILED_VERIFICATION_FAILURE" - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Themes, Apps, and Mods

I run into this error's:
Zeff:
adb install com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager-100395.apk
adb: failed to install com.huami.watch.hmwatchmanager-100395.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_VERIFICATION_FAILURE]
Mi Fit:
adb install com.xiaomi.hm.health-50429.apk
adb: failed to install com.xiaomi.hm.health-50429.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_VERIFICATION_FAILURE]
And I wonder what the real cause is.
Background:
the device is an Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2019 (SM-T510) with lastest stock.
since the lastest stock [1] is on the device I even can't see the above apps in playstore (running playstore on the device) and trying to install via webbrowser (from playstore site) it gives on error, something like "app not compatible with the device"
the device is listed as an playstore-compatible device list though.
I'm able to install other apps, but not the above both.
When I had @Magendanz Nexus [2] on the device I had no trouble with Mi Fit.
Mistakenly I downloaded and flashed the lastest stock instead of what @Magendanz suggested for his Nexus and I'm unable to go back to that previous stock (Odin denies the downgrade: 5 => 4)
I now have T510XXS5BUC4 instead of T510XXU4BUA1.
Interestingly I'm able to flash @Magendanz TWRP build on the previous stock [3]
I've searched the forum and found a link to this page:

But I can't even find out what the *deeper* cause of this error's are.

Your device is (now) not listed as compatible for those apps.
Either there were no longer available for your device, or something has changed by flashing latest stock firmware version ... what Google play service is checking.
Have you been on plain stock firmware before? Or have you rooted and changed some system settings?

That's the background of my question:
what and how does google check.
FW was:
initial stock (elder) => nexus => Lineage OS => stock (lastest) => CaOS
with Caos all is fine again. with nexus and LOS is was fine too.
no root
no change of system setting

Android version did not changed

Hi,
I had Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8000 with Android 4.4.2 Yesterday I've decided to upgrade using
update-samsung-galaxy-note-10-1-android-7-0-nougat-lineageos-rom/
Wiped, Rooted, TWRP installed, Android 7.0 Nougat ROM installed, Google apps package installed. Every time positive acknowledgment. Everything seems to be OK, software seems to be installed properly.
However, the Android version (4.4.2) (Settings > About), Kernel version, Build number remained unchanged and greyed.
So I cannot install any new apps - they still read I use old Android and prevent installation.
Any idea of how to repair this? Can I change somewhere what >>Settings > About<< shows?
Hi,
if the userdata is also still the same like before,
your eMMC is locked.
I'm repairing these things...
I guess you have to change your eMMC to fix your tablet.

Samsung Galaxy XCover SM-G398F/FN/DS Adnoird Q boot.img patch, root?

Hi,
What about this device ?
All I could find was "Galaxy XCover 4s SM-G398F/FN Pie 9.0 using Magisk"
All I want to do is install Magisk or LOS but LOS was I think not yet supported (quick search) and old boot.img
device info;
Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s SM-G398F/FN/DS
One UI 2.0
Android 10
Knox 3.5 API lvl 31 TIMA 4.1.0
Kernel 4.4.177-18237086
Build QP1A.190711.020.G398FNXXS5BTD2
Security software version
- ASKS v3.1 release 20200120
- ADP v3.0 release 20191001
- SMR may-2020 release 1
Android patch level May 1 2020
I haven't updated the rom on the device because this would only makes it harder for me...
Can it run TWRP or any custom recovery unsigned I am willing to experiment with boot.img on my device because without root this phone is useless for me (side load without flashing, like I always do). Have too much phones here for testing but most of them are slow to the snail due to outdated SoC and latest OS/kernel.
let me know I can dump boot.img and we can have fun experiments.
Not sure if this device is able to downgrade rom using odin or if Knox has ARP.
Any hits on next step? Don't feel like wasting lots of time phone is for RE and testing. Nothing special.

As you said there is no lineage os. Just check if your phone supports project treble by downloading treble check app. If supported, you can install variety of andorid 11 roms

Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

I would like to install a newer rom in the above tablet. I wamted to start by installing TWRP, the app then the recovery. After insatlling the app, every time I attempt to install the correct version of TWRP (listed in the "devices selection box) I get nothing but "failed to download file from server'. What is going on and is there a way around this method of installing TWRP?

I don't own a Note 10.1 so maybe not much help.
The TWRP App requires root access to your phone to install twrp.
To install TWRP you will need a PC
Here's one guide to installing TWRP

As for customs ROM's you will have to check in your device forum.

This may sound crazy but my Galaxy note 10.1 2014 wifi tablet does not haver "oem unlock" option in the developer options menu. I access the "developer options" by pressing "build number" 7 times and it acknowledges that developer options are indeed turned on, but no OEM unlock to be found. Booting directly into recovery mode yields the stock recoveruy menu in "download" mode that cannot be ended or altered via button presses. Consequently neither adb nor fastboot will communicate directly with the boot-level of the tablet. I can go back and forth between normal boots to android 5.1 and recovery (download) mode but nothing beyond. TWRP app goes directly to TWRP download, which does complete but I can get no further. I have Odin and Magisk at my disposal if either of these would circumvent the inability of adb and fastboot to replace the recovery software.
To install any non samsung signed firmware will require an unlocked bootloader.
What is your actual model number, is it an Eyxnos or Snapdragon variant.
The model of the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is SM-P600. The processor is Exynos Octa 5420. according to the "CPU-Z" app.
My plan is to install the TWRP recovery along with the highest level of Lineage OS compatible with my wifi model tablet.

Since i don't have a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 i can't be of much help in regards to it.
Depends on model number you may not have the bootloader unlock option. It may be unlock already.
I have seen some threads that basically says enable usb debugging in developers options, root with cf auto root and flash twrp. It seems the cf auto root zip file will depend on what android version you are on.
This is one guide. Basically did a google search for you device.
Root Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600 and Install TWRP on It
To Root Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P600 and install TWRP on it, follow our tutorial given below.

I would look into you device forums ( link in 2nd post ) and have a look around in general and developers section and maybe post your question there for better response from someone who has your device model. Make sure you look up your device (p600) or if posting include your model number.

HELP > Failed install of Lineage OS on device

I have looked on Google / Reddit / XDA Forum for more information on my issue with my OnePlus 7 Pro device.
I'm not a techie person - so I'm almost positive it is something I did, but I have:
GM1913 version of the phone
I unlocked the phone - and then downloaded both TWRP and LineageOS from their respective download sites.
After installing LineageOS and rebooting from TWRP, the phone is now stuck in the initial LineageOS boot up screen - it only shows the initial load screen and I can't seem to get the phone to get into the bootloader again.
Can someone please walk me through how I can install the Stock ROM for my version? (I see various guides, but I can't find the international version listed). Is the MDM Tool the only way to recover my OnePlus?
Thank you very much in advance!!!
