Wireless charging doesn't do fast charging.
I'd like to know too.
I have the S-View case with wireless charging, which wireless charger supports fast charging and I can get one and test it out. Does the latest Samsung one support it?
The other wireless chargers I tried with it tended to make it a little more hotter than I'd prefer.

The Note 4 does not support Fast Charging on the wireless pads. You can use the Samsung wireless charging pad that says "Fast Charge," but it will charge at the slower speed. I tried one, so I can verify this. I returned it, as the slower speed wireless pads are cheaper...If I had been able to keep my Note7, I would have kept the Fast Charge one.
I have an s7 and I was curious if anyone knew whether you could use a qi wireless charger and wired charger on a s7 either with some sort of application or otherwise to effectively charge it from both sources simultaneously to boost charge speed and if anyone knew of a battery case that can be charged by qi wireless charging and can use qi wireless charging to charge the cellphone once it was disconnecTed from the wireless charger so that I don't have to plug my battery case into my s7 and can just keep the usb port free.
Just tried it. The phone uses whatever charging method was connected first. If it's on the wireless charger and you plug in a cord, it ignores the cord. If it's charging wired, and you set it on a charging pad, it ignores the pad.
Samsung makes a battery back that will charge the phone wirelessly. I haven't seen anything that indicates whether the back can be charged wirelessly or not. Reviews seem a bit mixed:

After doing some research I see that the XZ Premium doesnt have Qi charging built in like most other devices. There exists external wireless charging receivers that connect to the USB C port in the device to charge it. Im just curious if anyone has tried it and if so what are your thoughts?
Is it convenient to drop the device on a pad to charge if for around £15/$20? Or is it convenient enough just to continue using USB C?
Also I would like to know if charging speeds differ not that it would matter to me as I charge overnight but im just curious.

That sounds absolutely silly. Unless the plug-in accessory/dongle is actually also a case of some sort, what on Earth would be the point of plugging in an adapter to use wireless charging? If you are going to plug the phone in, just use the cable. Wtf...

some of these wireless adaptors have a very slim usb cable and pad so they can be placed in a case having a usb plug in the port all the time will keep dust out but could be annoying if you need to use the port for data transfer. In my experience charging is slower because most of the ones I have seen are rated at about 1A also they have to be placed on the charging pad just right and don't always work if your case is to thick. I use a micro usb one with my old phone worked well with one of those cheap TUP cases with the plastic back with the kick stand but only when I took the plastic back off. Another option is one of the magnetic cables not wireless charging but saves the usb port. hope this helps sorry I cant post links because this is my first post.

I understand your explanation, but it doesn't make the concept any less silly.
Well if it's not built in the phone why would i use dongles or anything else? unless there is a case that has a protection for the phone and wireless charging then i do not see a point on it.

Ive read that people use a case and they just place the receiver inside the case since its said to be really thin. Also the cable that plugs in is like a flex cable so you could easily hide the receiver inside a case.

My car has a nice wireless charging pocket that you put you phone in. It feels a lot nicer without having to plug in a cable and make a mess out of it. I would prefer using a wireless charging case just to NOT use an extra cable.

While I like the idea of wireless charging I don't see the appeal in it when you need to charge at [email protected]
That will take so damn long that I'd just get frustrated and plug it into my QC3 charger.

I use a Choetech Fast Wireless charger Stand. Its loading very good. First i used a pad with two coils, witch is loading my Galaxy s3 good. But it cannot charge the Lepro 3 and mi mix 2 fast.
The Choetech is good and i can recommend it.
In combination with a qc 3.0 loader.
I dont use this wireless function to load 0 - 100% in 2h.
I agree with u, its loading slow.
But i hate it always plug in and plug out.
I use a thick leather flip cover, it eats always min. 200mah.
With silicone backcover the charging is over 1A
Any benefits to wireless charging? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have to leave it on the wireless pad for it to keep charging? Where with a cable I could just plug it in and keep using the phone?

You sir, are correct. It's a gimmick for lazy people who will have to wait 4x the length just because they can't be bothered plugging a cable in.
Edit: Maybe one day it's worth it but right now, it's not

Pro, it's cool for a while, but the idea and practicality quickly wears off.
Con, if you need to flash a lot of different roms, or transfer files quickly, you will need to remove the wireless adaptor type c plug, and if you are like most on the Mi mix forums, you will eventually break it. It's the inevitable fragility of the wireless adaptor, it will break.
Con, it charges much, much slower than qualcomm 3.0
Pro, it charges slowly, which is better in the long term for battery longevity.
Con, every time you take it off and on from the wireless pad (especially at night, if you leave it on your dresser close to you) it makes a loud beep.
Pro, you can cause much less damage to your Type C port (less so, on the newer type universally pluggable type c ports) by the constant plug, unplugging, by using wireless charging.
Con, it is ugly, and stick out like a bad tattoo on the back of your phone if you are using a clear case.
Con, you cannot have wireless charging pad, if you like to use a magnetic car holder. The metal plate on the back of the case, will cause immense heat if you place your metal pad + phone case + onto the wireless charging pad. And, it won't work.
Con, if your late and you need a seriously quick charge, the wireless charging won't be able to help you out in a jam / urgency.
Con, if you are requiring a charge, most places simply do not have (friends, neighbour, client, airport, office etc) wireless charging available.
Con, Nilken has a cool setup, to give you the best of both worlds in terms of being able to use magnetic car holder and wireless charging pad capability, but it doesn't solve the blocked port access or ease of availability.
So, in the end, I went down that route once, but never went back to it.
I did have a smartphone that was wirelessly chargeable, but even though the micro USB port was free, I was still annoyed by the slow charge rates, and the beeping on and off of the home base charger (or, if it didn't beep, it was the charging flash led that annoyed me).

Not wearing out your Type C port is a big Pro - I had people not believing me that the purchased phone is used. - If you use cases and screen protectors before you even touch your phone with bare hands...
