Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however, make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also, bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a log cat, what type should I get any more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zip file.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behaviour.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zip file.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)

Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

First time installing crDroid to your OnePlus 3/3T, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running the latest TWRP Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash gapps
6) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk 21.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Check Luis builds. Right now he is still updating Android 10 builds. But if you'll switch from Official a clean flash is recommended.

Casting is a known issue. Will be fixed when it's fixed in LineageOS.
You can disable backlight in the physical navigation buttons I assume you're asking by going to..
Settings -> crDroid Settings -> Buttons Menu -> Disable HW keys
It disable the backlight and the buttons itself.

Thank you for your amasing rom, encryption works, signature spoofing (for microg) as well.
Perfect Everything I need.

Have flashed CR last night. Installation was flawless.
So far I'm pretty satisfied with this one.
No FC's, bugs or glitches, so far.
The only minor things that I've found is the inability to change the number of tiles of quick settings. And the sensitivity of return button (on long press, to kill the app) seems a bit high (sometimes I just wanna go back and it kills the app, almost instantly).
Anyway, I'm impressed how fluid it is, and with the battery management.
I have a few suggestions: data usage counter; a lte on/off toggle ; some themes options and more control of the lockscreen interface (like change the clock size, for example).
For now I don't remember more. But I will post it here if it come to my mind.

Awesome ROM!
Really took me by surprise how great the Customization section is. Especially happy that I'm able to center the system clock, just like in the good old days. Goes perfect with the clean & notch-less Mix 3 front. Expecting to keep this one as a daily if the standby drain is good.

I've been trying to install Android 11 on my Mi Mix 3 global to no avail, always get a bootloop.
I've tried different custom ROM's with no luck, is there anything else I can try?

flash chinese rom (via mi flash or whatever) > install twrp if flash on mi flash > clean flash (wipe dalvik, cache, system) but don't wipe vendor. flash the rom then format data it should works. (this is what i normally do)

- Flash the latest build
- Flash Fcrypt Disabler/DFE [If you want to decrypt else u can skip]
- Reboot
DIRTY FLASH :
- Download the latest build
- Reboot to recovery
- Flash the latest build
- Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache

Very Nice.
Will give this one a go.

On the first boot when on the home screen the screen flashes like crazy. After downloading app updates and a reboot it went away.
On system update check it keeps reporting check internet connection.
Apart from that great Rom. Fast and Smooth. Hope it gets updated regularly. (Like Arrow OS)

Yeah it was mentioned on telegram post that if u face flickering then reboot your device once.I will try to keep it updated and mostly that flickering should be fixed in next update.

Play store keeps crashing. cannot install anything. tried rebooting several time. did not fix my issue

haven't faced any such issue and nobody else has faced this. Flash the rom again nd follow the steps as given in instructions.

Hi,
in the ROM informations it is said that it is based on Android 11, shouldn't I then download and flash latest A11 firmware? I'm sorry if I don't understand it correctly. Can somebody please help me find it? (using Mi 9T Pro Global version (raphael)).

Firmware is available based on a10 and a11 both. U can download firmware from xiaomi firmware updater website.

New update is up (v3.9 Eternal)

OSS Based and ok google works fine.
Though build has l1 issue it gets broken temporarily if u have no need of l1 then u can flash with with a10 firmware.

OTA update verification is constantly failing for the 3.9 build. is this a bug ? i am currently on 3.8

Has anyone had problems installing the latest build?
Mine would only boot to the PPUI Loading screen and stay there. I was running latest android 10 global firmware and did clean flash.
Edit.
Been posting on the Telegram group. Seems like it working fine for others. But can anyone running Global firmware confirm that it boots for them successfully.
