Hello, I am wondering if anyone has a safe way to root a Sprint LG G8X U.S version phone?
I know Sprint isn't always the easiest, so I am really hoping someone has figured it out. Thank you all in advance for your help!

Hi, thank you for using XDA assist
You may try to ask here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where someone who has rooted the same device , might help you.
Good luck
So I made a post yesterday explaining my problem about having locked APN settings on my unlocked Sprint LG G5. Someone there pointed out I need an MSL code. How do I go about getting one? Do I have to deal with the headache we call sprint again?... also once I obtain the MSL code where do I input it? I have some idea where it needs to go but I'm not 100% sure...
like I said it's an LG G5, model number is LGLS992 (sprint phone thats GSM unlocked) and it's running 6.0.1.
Thanks in advance everyone and let me know if you need anymore info!

Hi Hockeywaves
Thank you for using XDA Assist
According to some fellow XDA users (threads listed below), you should call Sprint and they will inform you.
NEED YOUR MSL/SPC number??? Post #2
How to find SPC(MSL) code ? Post #3
How you will be using the information: if Sprint doesn't support you on this, please feel welcome to ask onto the below forum:

Hey guys, I'm new to rooting. The wondershare Root tool didn't work for me. I have a feeling it doesn't work for my model, and looked through the forums here but am very overwhelmed of all the threads.
Can someone help me determine if my phone is rootable? And if so, how to implement it?
It's originally from ATT, but now with Flash Wireless for Tmobile.

Hello,
I am new to the rooting game, but have done so successfully a few times. My question is, I have both an AT&T V20 and G6 but am on Verizon. Is there a way to put a Verizon build on the device?
Thank you in advance.
