Device: ZTE Axon 20 5G
Model: ZTE A2121
Build: ZTE_A2121V1.0.0B06
Problem 1: I can't change the launcher. I've tried most of the android launchers and they all break the app switcher.
Problem 2: I can't update the phone. It errors out. I've tried to use a VPN but that still gives the error.
Problem 3: Google assistant will ask for permissions again and again... and again.
If anyone knows how to fix these problems that would be great
Update: The phone went through 2 updates this morning. The changelog was in Chinese but when I can I'll post the translated version here. ZTE might've fixed the problem with updating the phone.

Hello, I have searched for information about this error, but the little information I have found I did not understand. Thanks in advance.
I will chronologically describe the sequence of events:
1 - I received the Mi pad 2 and checked the operation of the tablet, everything was fine except that the play store did not download applications.
2 - I looked for information, I tried to solve it and I could not do it, then I read that changing the OS version could be solved.
3 - I downloaded the developer's website from the official website, copied it to my device and then went to "applications", "select the update package", Since then I get this error every time I turn on my pad 2 (I did the same procedure with my redmi note 2 using a stable rom and there was no problem)
4 - I have tried to install the stable rom (the same link) but the error persists.
P.S. I have not been able to install the play store.
Why did this error occur? How do I solve it? I would like to install a ROM that has play store and eliminate this error.
Thank you very much, sorry if I made any mistake with the language.

Greetings and welcome to assist. All xiaomi devices come with a locked bootlader and you need to apply to xiaomi to have it unlocked. This is free and xiaomi don't refuse, just create an account on their website and about 4 or 5 days later they will approve you then you can change roms.
There is a dedicated forum for your device here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-pad
Good luck

UPDATE:
I have now installed the manual update for Android 7.0 and this helped to resolve some of the issues:
-I can now make and receive calls fully with voice enabled
-Bootloader updated from 1.26 to 3.11
BUT:
-Fingerprint Recognition still not working
-Device serial number still shows as 111111111111111
-Device shows as encrypted- could this be the cause and how?
If anyone has any suggestions please assist.
MY ORIGINAL POST RE ISSUES:
Following release of Android 7 for ZF3U, I updated and then wanted to unlock the bootloader and carry out root. All went fine but now after unlocking the bootloader and root I have a major problem. My ZF3U does not show the correct device serial number in the initial setup wizard and in about phone section of settings. All I get is "111111111111111". Secondly, whilst all other functions are working fine, I can no longer hear the sound of any made or received phone calls.
I also tried to use the ASUS Flash Tool to reinstall the firmware but could not and at one point I saw a message stating that the device was being encrypted . I have no idea what implications this has but I my phone does not allow use of internal speakers or microphone for the other side to hear me. It appears that the serial number issue started with my use of the Asus Flash Tool. I am also not sure if this encryption issue caused the issue as it may have locked certain parts of the device.
Also, as a result I am unable to set the fingerprint recognition in initial setup or after setup. Pin code, pattern etc can be setup but not fingerprint security.
Tried to use TWRP to reinstall the firmware. All installs fine but the problem is still there. I pressed the decrypta button inside TWRP settings but still no fix. Also, did all the usual wipes etc.... still no fix. I don't know what to do. I now wish I had not played around with the phone and simply used it as it was. With the bootloader unlocked no Android 7 anymore until manual firmware becomes available. My device serial number still shows as "111111111111111" but when I launch the fastboot/recovery mode I do see the correct serial number but the device boots to UI with the incorrect serial number. My theory is that the Asus Flash Tool caused the problem but I am not sure how.
Also if anyone has the original factory boot.img and other relevant .img files for me to fix the bootloader in case this is the problem thatI would be very appreciated. Also, I have read that the .raw firmware files for this device could fix the problem but not sure and the files cannot be found anywhere online.
I also by removed the root and did a fresh install of the previous firmware Android 6.0 and the problems still exist. I am not sure if the downgrade from Android 7 could have caused these problems too but I am trying to pinpoint the problem somehow. So if anyone has a full manual .Raw or normal .zip version of the Android 7.0 firmware then please provide a download link. If all fails then I would have to see if I could get Asus to fix it for me.
All suggestions and workarounds desperately welcome. Thanks.
1. Try posting about your issues in Taiwanese Asus forums under this topic:
https://www.asus.com/zentalk/tw/thread-216020-4-2.html
Use Google Translator in order to navigate the Taiwenese forum. Post your message in English.
2. Try posting about your issues in XDA Asus Zenfone 3 forums (regular Zenfone 3, not Zenfone 3 ultra), because regular Zenfone 3 community is larger, however devices should be quite similar:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3
As always, keep Zenfone 3 ultra community informed with your future findings, so we all could learn something new and help each other.
Hi,
I was able to finally get google on my phone about a year ago. I was able to update my phone once, manually, by downloading the firmware manually from the FF-app/website and connecting it to HiSuite.
For 8 months now, I havent been able to do this process anymore because FF-app/website shows me no working firmware. I think my phone is in risk because some of my passwords have been hacked and im almost sure its not my laptop. I am ready, if i have to, to do a factory reset. I was told when adding google services, that even after a reset, the google services will remain on my phone.. But then the issue is still not solved as my phone doesnt want to update by itself. It always says the firmware is the latest one which is impossible after 8 months or longer not updating it.
When using FF app, every single firmware i click, it tells me: Error, most likely the firmware was removed from the server.
When i try to download a firmware from the desktop it says: An error occured.
I feel like im stuck.. What should i do?
My huawei P40 PRO+
Model: ELS LGRP6 or ELS N39 (im not sure which one it is. the 2nd one is written on my phone but the first one is written on a paper from 1 year ago)
Build number: 10.1.0.175(C432E2R3P3)
Emui version: 10.1.0
Thank you a lot for anyone reading this and being able to help me!
You must use this site for firmware search. https://www.firmfinder.ml/
You receive updates, or not?
The issue is solved thanks to one of a senior member. Thank you so so much!
You are welcome!
The solution was that:
- downgrade using dload firmware
- install Google with googlefier
- OTA update to the last EMUI version ( he requested that)
Hi guys, I was trying to update my P40 pro to the latest software (C432).
Right now I am at Emui 12, 290 and there is a new 296 software (december security patch).
Last security patch I have recieved at 30. 11. 2022. (290) over My Huawei app but nothing this month so far.
So I have tried the eRecovery update but get the error "getting package info failed".
Does anyone know how to solve that problem? I don't care about the update, my fear is that if I ever encounter a software problem I wont be able to use eRecovery because for some strange reason it doesn't work.
P. S. Tried on 3 wifi networks, result always the same.
Anyone got any ideas?

There are many methods to upgrade. Maybe is not available yet for your phone ( could be in several days) but you can try:

Hello! Because I answered to the same questions on different threads, I decided to create this thread, where I will provide my experience to you, in one place. The followings messages (2-7) contain all major info and tutorials links from this...

See no.1.
Hi Badmania, thanks for the reply. I have tried all of the methods from your thread but no luck so far. And I am ok with that.
But like I wrote the eRecovery option doesn't work at all - it gives an error "get package info failed". My concern is that if I ever encounter a software problem with my phone I wont be able to use eRecovery to fix it.
The pic in the post is yours from your thread, in my situation after this check I get the error above.

Sometimes I have the same error. Sometimes the error is not present. You can try also to change the country on the MyHuawei App. and search for update. You can try Germany, Hong Kong, etc.
Regarding just to the erecovery, dont worry.
I have exactly the same issue i live in Greece with 12.0.0.290 (C432) .erecovery reports "get package info failed". HiSuite tells me i am on latest MyHuawei the same .I hope we will get it at some point. I am amazed it takes more than 25days to push an update. i changed country language vpn DNS all the same
