Sorta soft-locked K30 Pro Zoom - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hi guys, I'm at my wits end with my flashing experience currently.
I just unlocked my K30 PZ, and was messing around with manuelbianco's TWRP, and I seem to have effectively softlocked my phone
I'm pretty tired and have no idea how I ended up here, so all I can really post is what I can observe.
It's constantly stuck in bootloop, and while I have access via fastboot as well as LR-TEAM TWRP(MB doesnt work, boots to logo then goes to black screen), nothing I do seems to be able to break my bootloop.
Attempting to flash MIUI via miflash results in the attempt getting stuck on super.img, while flashing by XiaoMiTool also has the same effect, with the added exit code 1.
Also noteworthy is that according to twrp, "/vendor", "/product" and "/odm" all fail to mount due to invalid arguement, which I have no idea about.
I've attempted to manually mount them via twrp, and try and flash stock miui, however there is no change in the behavior.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Which ROM did you want to flash?

I grabbed the latest Poco F2 Pro zip from the mi community, since I couldn't find any K30 Pro ROMs

Do you want a miui stock rom or eu roms or aosp roms?

My end goal is an AOSP rom like arrowOS or evolutionX.
I tried flashing arrowOS after everything had happened. It seems to flash normally, but on reboot it's shows the POCO logo then proceeds to bootloop

2/Twrp wipe format data write yes, reboot twrp
3/otg the rom or push in internal storage
4/flash rom(firmware)
5/format data again reboot twrp
6/flash rom(with the op instructions)

Final update before I sleep
I've followed the steps, and managed to get arrowOS to boot screen
But I waited 20 mins for initial boot, and was stuck at the loading screen
Formatted data again to retry, and am now letting it run for as long as I can, but so far I'm 15 mins in now and have not seen anything more than the initial boot loading screen.
Thanks for the help, cheers

So I formatted data, wiped all except OTG and then flashed the xiaomi.eu rom
Phone simply goes back into 2 bootloops before booting into twrp
Also to note, in advanced wipe system partition is missing in twrp. There is an option to mount, but it never shows up in wipe.

use this recovery https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850507462
Flashed it with TWRP unofficial (v6). Had loads of bootloops, failed flashes etc. I think it had to do with encryption. After doing a complete wipe to remove the encryption and flashing it over ADB (No MTP in v6) it works like a charm.
Have some issues with random app crashes.
- Facebook crashes randomly
- Facebook messenger crashes when someone links a Facebook video in chat
- My Reddit app (Joey) crashes every x minutes.
All quite annoying, but facebook lite and messenger lite work. Other reddit apps seem to be more or less stable as well.
Everything else so far runs buttersmooth.

Well it's available for weeks now... It's the xiaomi.eu rom, they just don't post their releases on xda
ok guys i used polaris twrp and it's ok i did format data before flash the rom and booted at first time.
Ok so I flashed successfully this rom after doing a full wipe (system, data...). Without wiping system, I was stuck on MI logo with dots.
I flashed Magisk and I'm rooted without problem, but the TWRP recovery doesn't stay.
I tried to flash the recovery many times using these commands (before and after being rooted), using the TWRP for Polaris linked by xiaomi.eu, but the Mi fastboot takes over everytime I try to boot TWRP.
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot boot twrp.img
Am I missing something?
I can start TWRP using those ADB fastboot commands of course, but not using just power down/power as usual.
mod please delete
Got Miui 10 8.6.20 last night, got 8.6.18 early yesterday.
Can anyone state if miui 10 supports the following:

- 1080p 60fps
- 4k 60fps
- Camera 2 api

Which version of TWRP are you using? You will need to use the Yellow theme one for flashing roms and the Blue theme version for flashing Magisk.

You guys are talking about two different versions of miui. Eu Rom hast weekly builds. China beta Rom has daily builds. So I assume when talking in this thread, the topic should be the EU Rom and not an update of Chinese version. This is confusing to some inexperienced users.

No OS installed in TWRP

Hi guys
I was trying some of custom rom on my OP6 and I wanted to go back to Oxygen OS. So i did a clean installation with system wipe and i flashed the last full OTA update. But since i can't boot to system anymore, TWRP always displays that there is no OS installed despite the fact that I've tried several rom . Is this the first time it's done this to me how can I fix it?

The best suggestion I can give you is to flash stock oos with TWRP, reboot to stock recovery, without flashing anything else, wipe data from stock recovery and startup system.. if it is working you can flash back TWRP and magisk if you need it
Just be careful because at your point is easy to lose all of your stored data

If you wipe system, then flash oos ROM, TWRP will think there is no os. You can just ignore and boot.
Wiping system then flashing any time will make twrp display "no os installed" it does this because it hasn't created files for twrp to check if you have a ton installed. Flashing twrp then rebooting to twrp fixes it.
Reboot to stock recovery?

Hi, need a little bit of support, since I'm new to this as well. I was in a working OOS open beta 25/28, but then I think I flashed the wrong zip (OOS 9.0.9?), and I was not able to boot to system. It kept going to "bootloader unlocked" screen and custom recovery. Currently in TWRP blu_spark 3.3.1-x v. 9.109, and it's showing me no OS installed when I attempt to reboot. I haven't rebooted to system yet.
All the folders in my /sdcard is gibberish... if I try to push a file to it, it says "Required key not available." I did remove all security/passwords from my phone before doing any updates/backups.
I completed a wipe cache/dalvik/system via TWRP, and flashed the OOS OTA stable Android 10 zip downloaded directly from OnePlus Support. Considering this situation, do you still think it's safe for me to reboot to system? Then how do I get to stock recovery from there--is that by holding down the buttons?

No, your internal storage Is like trash cause the last rom you flashed has older security patch than oos10. Your device Is now encrypted and wont boot to system. I Guess you have to erase all via MSN tool or fastboot signed rom. Even if you wiped what mentioned above, your problem still be the data.
Fastboot method?

Thank you for replying. I'm relieved that you know of a couple methods to try.
Is using "Format Data" in TWRP an option for dealing with the encryption??
For the MSN tool, can I use this one? Tried looking around, but it's unclear. "[TOOL] MsmDownloadTool V4.0 International (Oxygen OS 5.1.5)" https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...wnloadtool-v4-0-international-t3798892/page10
I would be more comfortable with using fastboot, but am I at any risk of having lost fastboot, or can I just turn off my device from TWRP right now and hold down the buttons to get there? Afraid to move out of TWRP right now, in case I can't get back. I do have twrp-3.3.1-18-enchilada-Q-mauronofrio.img that I can run from fastboot if needed.
By "signed rom," do you mean I can simply flash one of the zips here from fastboot? "[OnePlus 6][ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates" https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3792244

That's awesome, I'm starting to grasp how much of a genius Mauronofrio is, after so many people referencing his work.
In his guide, he says, "These ROMs can't be used to update or downgrade your phone but just to restore your phone, so don't use them to come back to oreo or to update from oreo to pie." This may be a dumb question, but how do I know which zip/OOS version to flash, when I don't have a functioning OS on my phone?

That worked! And starstruck that you were able to check that with him. I flashed Mauronofrio's fastboot ROM for 10.3.2 and it rebooted (WOW). I clicked through the Google setup pages and checked that my data and wifi worked.
I then went back into fastboot, booted M's twrp img, fomatted data, and then installed twrp-3.3.1-x_blu_spark_v9.109_op6.zip, rebooted into recovery.
Then I think I made a mistake, because I installed Magisk-v20.4.zip. It succeeded, but now I can't boot into system anymore. Is it too late to flash the 10.3.2 boot.img?

I ended up following the guide to Magisk Root without TWRP for OnePlus 6 Oxygen OS https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/patched-boot-image-magisk-16-7-beta-t3818853 since it was referenced by Mauronofrio's post for having issues getting his TWRP to work with latest Magisk.

Clean flash xiaomi.eu rom or official fastboot rom with MiFlash to exclude a possible hardware fault with the display. Pay attention if you use MiFlash not to relock the bootloader.

You can use the global version too but flash the fastboot rom with MiFlash - make sure not to select clean flash and lock

It got worst when I flashed with Mi flash , screen goes off when os comes up
I checked the issue with a repairman, he said it isnt software problem, is it hardware problem,
He said 90% it is related to CPU and 10% is relates to Hard problem (as sometimes phone freezes during loading or in recovery status), earthier ways main board should be replaced

Sorry to hear that. At least you know what's the probable cause. It's time for a replacement.

My MIX 3 stuck in bootloop with any custom ROM but MIUI ones

Hi. For some reason, I'm not able to make my phone working with any custom ROM but MIUI ones. I tried the guides about flashing the 9.5.9 first, flashing the firmware but still, every time I flash a custom ROM (with flash result 1 in TWRP) and I reboot into the system, the phone keeps rebooting quickly after displaying only the MI logo. Apparently it shows that there isn't a valid firmware installed, but I followed the guides with no success. Any advice? Thanks!

Ok, I'll do it when I'll try to install a custom ROM again; I can't keep trying formatting my data and then returning back to MIUI I need to be sure it will work!

Did it! The process I did was:
Boot on TWRP and format data
reboot TWRP
Wipe cache, dalvik, data and System
Flash FW, ROM, GAPPS

Hmm, unofficial twrp 3315 by mauronofrio?
Which device variant do you have, china or global? And device code name are perseus(4g)?
I suggest make a clean flash (without relock) with miflashtool, then install any new EU rom, after that try flash RR, with these step nothing could go wrong.

Yes, It should be the 3.3.1.5 by mauronofrio; my Mi MIX 3 is the global version and right now I'm using the MIUI 11 9.10.10. What version of MIUI should I install using miflashtool? Thanks!
I cannot get data decryption with Android Q on any of the twrp builds.

Try last global beta 9.6.27, its the most stable with new feature, even better than global stable.
Then install any eu miui10 rom newer than 9.6.27, after that install custom rom.
Remember to boot up after each install, not necessary to complete set up, just boot up to welcome screen.
you saved my life

Even though the thread is quite old I have exactly the same problem with no suggestion here in the forums working to fix it
Can anybody please help me getting this figured out. My goal is to install the Pixel experience Rom for perseus (non 5g) posted here.
You MUST FORMAT data partition when you install anything from stock roms. It should boot after you format, and I'm not saying with the rm -rf option in settings if you have TWRP. It must be a full format of data. I know some of the older ROMs used to take many minutes to boot the first time (like up to 10). I am not actively developing for android after they turned on the hardware backed verity states and broke Google Pay with unlocked bootloader, I left android.

Fastboot ROM for Android 11 needed, thanks!

Hi guys,
I made a mistake installing the Android 11 firmware update and afterwards flashing TWRP and installing Magisk.
Second mistake because I couldn't boot I flashed an old Fastboot ROM, but that doesn't help me.
Can anyone please point me to the fastboot rom for android 11 update?
Thank you very much.

I guess the best way to go back to stock is using msmtool you can find it here: with android 10 for international and European version: Thread '[OP7PRO][LATEST OOS 10.3.8 GM21AA | OOS 10.0.10 GM21BA] Collection of unbrick tools' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...0-gm21ba-collection-of-unbrick-tools.3956595/

If you ended with a blinking TWRP just flash the stock/rooted boot.img if you are using stable you can obtain it here(Post in thread 'Android 11 Release - Finally!' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/android-11-release-finally.4251267/post-84717089)

Hey,
I bricked my OP7 after what seemed like successfully installing and using Android 11. I am getting the Teamwin blinking brick.
This(
) seems like something I can do- flashing Fastboot ROM(even though I'll lose data, but wth). Can you please tell me if this comment of yours applies in my case- i.e. is the link you are suggesting for Android 11 Fastboot ROM valid?

As a rain check, as I am new to this, and don't want to screw up more,
You mean I can use this method-
Restore OnePlus 7/7T/7T Pro to Stock via Fastboot Commands - DroidWin
to flash the latest stable build on OnePlus support, i.e. this-
https://otafsg1.h2os.com/patch/amaz....P.35_OTA_0350_all_2103221240_3e944b9d067.zip(OnePlus7Oxygen_14.P.32_OTA_032_all_2101280019_b2a62765ba0c485e.zip)
??
Or do you suggest to use the Android 11 firmware available on XDA?

I am pretty sure I know my OS, but is there a way to find out?
I was running the stable, but flashing stock boot just led me to a boot loop with the Original Recovery, it's giving me options to
1. Wipe data and cache
2. Reboot to fastboot
3. Reboot to recovery
The fastboot flash commands above to flash stock OS didn't work, due to one error or another.
Anyhow, I had read somewhere fastboot continue works(here: it wasn't working before for me), so I tried that again, and now I am just stuck on 1+ Fastboot screen. I will wait it out to see if it boots into system.
Otherwise, I am thinking I reload fastboot and flash stock boot just like I did- and from there wipe data, but what do I expect then??
The way I see it, I am just stuck in some serious boot issue, and might eventually have to go down the path of msndownloadtool, any suggestion?

Flashing the stock boot.img should be enough to boot into system without problems because TWRP can't decrypt data in android 11.
In this point you can try a factory reset from stock recovery this will keep device files but will erase all your config and apps
To figure out what version of firmware you had you can run this command in fastboot
Fastboot getvar all

Flashing didn't work to boot into system, I was just getting stuck in the Recovery boot loop, it finally booted into system once I wiped my data(files, music, etc -option);
I did try factory reset, only once I cleared the partition, did the boot loop give way to boot into system;
It booted back to Android 11, but it's all glitchy: Boot taking too long, WiFi not switching on, Call not working, Data is working though- basically it's very screwed up, got a couple of errors too- it's like watching an amnesiac old person.. if you get the gist.
So, now I am considering a stable build from Oneplus support website as a local upgrade and booting back to that..
I am hard pressed for options, let me know if you think something else works better, thanks!

I guess msmtool it's the best way to restore your phone, remember that msmtool will re-lock your bootloader so if you want root you need to unlock your bootloader again.
Use msmtool and instructions form Here(there's an android 9 and android 10 for Global and Europe versions, use android 10)
