Anyone have issues with their phone if you plonk it on the table or any hard surface?
I dont mean dropping it from a height, but if I put my phone down with any kind of a thud, the phone goes nuts and starts opening apps and flickers in and out of them. I have to reboot to get it back to normal.
Had it 5 months or so and i have not rooted it. Stock all the way 12.06
RMA it if you can
Could it be the touchscreen triggering with light thuds?
Doesn't happen with mine even if I deliberately do it with force. There's definitely a hardware issue and it's best you get it replaced rather than repaired.

Hello all, I have a problem with vibrations on my I9105P. More specifically: my phone fell down from a table right on the floor (maybe 0.5 meter) and since then vibration doesn't work. Everything else works fine, tried reflashing the system and all - nothing works (first I thought it was kernel's fault). What can I do now? Will the warranty cover the repair?
PS. I use case for my phone - it's made of a silicone or something like this (don't know exactly).
If ur phone falls down, how u can say that is kernel problem?

Well, maybe I said it wrong. I didn't notice that the vibration isn't working for about 5 hours after the fall and so when I reflashed the kernel I thought about the fall - my phone used to fall from time to time and it never broke, so now I'm quite confused. However today, when I was writing on the phone's keyboard, it vibrated once while pressing the letter. Since then - silence.
If you stay it vibrated once that means it's somehow not completely broken. I would disable every sort of vibration in the phone's settings. The vibration motor is probably stuck and it is probably getting damaged more if it keeps trying to spin like that. What did you think - if the phone survived one fall it will survive 10 more just as well? Try the warranty, there's a good chance they'll cover it. Or learn to live without vibration.

I didn't think like that. I guess it's like every time it fell down I felt a relief, because nothing was broken (I wasn't throwing my phone around my house, as I said, it OCCASIONALLY fell). Anyway, thanks for help - I'll try the warranty, just wasn't sure if they will accept it at the service.
Hi guys
Unfortunatly my time has come to have a possible hardware issue.
Yesterday my N5 was connected via USB (like I usually leave it resting at work / charging) and out of the blue, rebooted. Google logo shows up, and reboots right away. Trying VolDown + Power shows up the menu but I hardly have any time to select bootloader or recovery, and when I do, it eventually reboots again after a couple seconds.
I'm able to turn it on and have it on if I avoid touching the power button, when I do, sometimes it works (screens just turns off), sometimes ir shuts down after a few seconds after doing so. It's not always, but happens three out of five times.
Connecting the USB cable has the same behaviour, sometimes it's alright and I'm able to copy files and so on, sometimes it shuts off and there it goes into bootloop again.
So, I got home, opened it and I looked like a donkey looking at a castle lol. I had a disconnected brown wire on the right side of the battery which I was able to fix, but that doesn't seem to be the cause of the problem.
The power button feels ok, it's not exactly rattled or anything, it has on/off feeling. if you know what I mean.
Problem is, I bought this in second hand in london about 6 months ago, would be hard to RMA and probably they would give me the finger.
Anyway, suggestions? Anyone went through anything like this? I doubt it's a software issue (rom) cause the same behaviour happens when on recovery / bootloader. Sometimes it holds on and lets me do things, sometimes it doesn't. Most often, doesn't.
Any help or tips are greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.

I can't, was bought in second hand in a shop, besides I opened it and the water sensor is pinkish (never touched water, probably humidity).
I can only do that around christmas time.
Any other tip ? Something I can do before considering something like that?

By sending in for repair or replacement, I meant to LG. Not Google for RMA.
LG will charge you for the repair or replacement.
There really isn't much you can do otherwise.
Hey, so I have this weird problem with my G Flex 2.
I got it around 40 days ago from U.S. Cellular.
I have run into this problem about three times now, and from what I can remember it always happens when I have music playing. I tap the screen on to the lock screen then let it go to sleep or turn it off myself. When I wake it back up the screen is all black except for a few millimeters on the top, where I can see some display.(*note, this doesn't happen every time)
I am able to scroll through the display but no pop up menus. Since the battery is sealed off in the back of the phone I can't use that fix, holding the power button only brings up the menu option to turn off the screen which doesn't do me much good since I can't use the screen.
If I wait for 5 minutes or so the phone will right itself, but I don't want this to be a persisting problem. I'm not sure if this problem is tied to the music playing, it hasn't happened when it isn't playing, but I play music on my phone quite often. (note* I am playing the music from my phone, not streaming)
If you need more info I'll do my best to provide it. This is all I can think of right now.
Honestly, I don't expect anyone to have a fix yet since the phone is fairly recent and not as popular. I tried looking under G3 forums since the UI is pretty much identical, but I didn't find anything.
Sorry, my post is a little wordy.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks
Yes, this has happened to me twice recently too. Once the screen was completely black except for a bright white line at the very bottom, but the phone was still responsive behind the dead screen. The other time there was a distorted/ghosty notification bar showing at the top but nothing else (like what you reported). Then the problem would resolve completely and spontaneously after resuming from sleep a few times. I have the Korean model (F510S) which was a gift so I'm stuck with it - no returns or warranty available.
bonebeatz1234 also posted about a similar problem. Seems like a hardware fault?
The replacement phone screen was fine i had a different issue of over heating and had to return it . I opted to get another device the note 4. Didn't wanna go that route bit had no choice i loved the design and ui of the flex 2. I wished lg would of just ditched the 810

Hi, I encountered same problem here.
Is anyone able to send me a screen shot or a video of this problem.
As I need to use this to prove the situation and claim warranty from the seller, however I didn't take a photo or something when the problem happened to me.
please sent to [email protected] if you have the photo or video and many thanks~
Just had this problem also had a g flex 2 for about 21 days now and it happened to me after a restart in the car with a pinkish line at the top and the phone was completely responsive even though the screen was blank
I think it might have to do with heat cause I held it by the ac vent while I was reading this board on my nexus and when I looked back at the phone it was working perfectly
But I swear during my time with the phone it heated up way more than this time and this time the phone wasn't even hot
I reset the phone like 3 times before I held it to the vent and it didn't help at all
Using the att variant with android 5.1.1
Have the same problem every now and then, found a recommendation on another website and in the instruction manual to reset the phone by holding down the power button and volume down button for about 10 seconds or to turn it off by holding down the same buttons for 20 seconds. I find what works better though is to just leave the phone alone and it corrects itself within about 5 minutes.
Having this same problem. Happens once every couple of weeks. Any updates on this?
I think that this is a heat problem....everytime i left my phone in the sun, it show me this strange error.
I'm not convinced its a heat issue. I looked at my battery chart the last time it happened and it was barely over 90 deg. It seems it happens to me when it is charging PLUS doing something like streaming music or GPS is on. I need to start taking notes. I should have done that before.
this have happened to twice too. weird anomaly.

Having the same random issue. Today it happened and reboot would not fix (it usually does) finally after about 30 minutes the screen came back to normal. I now disabled lock screen in case I need to get data off the phone from pc ? in the case that the issue becomes permanent.

although it's an old post, but worth to mention, that It can happen to all the LG Flex 2 models.
It is caused by a heat or inaccurate voltage. let me explain how it can happen:
heat - when you put the phone on the car's cradle under the car's front windows during a sunny day - it will happen.
voltage/heat - when you charge your phone and not using your original charger (eg chinese car chargers) - it will happen.
so what to do? I've noticed that putting the device over the cat's air conditioning , can reduce this to few minutes. also, if you can, mount your cradle over one of the air condition outlets and it will freeze your phone all the time
I got the honor 8 a week ago and so far I've been very happy with it. Yesterday, it slipped out of my hand and fell, thankfully the fall wasnt very high and it was in a pretty sturdy case. There are no scratches or any physical damage. However, I since then I think the smart key has been acting up- at first I thought the scanner was taking a slightly longer time to detect my fingerprints but then I think it was mainly my imagination. But today, I noticed that when I bring the notification panel down using the smart key, it does that but when I put it back up, the panel disappears for a few seconds or until I touch the screen again. And if I bring the notification shade down multiple times using the smart key gesture, this particular gesture starts lagging. I am a little paranoid when it comes to damaging new phones but I think this sounds more like a software issue than a hardware one... Anyone else having this problem? Do you think it's cos of the fall? If it is, what can I do? Bec taking it to a service centre seems pointless when everything else is working great? Has anyone else dropped their phone??
note: it's not the smart key... It's the notification shade, if I pull it down with my finger and pull it back again, it either disappears or starts flickering before righting itself again... Software issue?
Have you turned the device off and back on if not try this.
2.try to update your firmware or reinstall the current firmware to see if this helps.
3. Yeap take it down to the store/service centre..
Hi, I cracked my screen and since I got it back from the repair the screen is extremely unresponsive and jittery, making the phone almost ususable.
I'm guessing that the repair wasn't done right and I need to send it back again to One Plus, but before I do is there anything I can try that others have done, rather than lose my phone for a week?
Thanks!
