Help with custom rom for Samsung A30s - Samsung Galaxy A30s Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I am currently messing about with a Samsung Galaxy A30s. I have unlocked the bootloader and successfully setup TWRP. The problem I am having is that every custom ROM I find online either has a broken link and can't be downloaded, or when it runs the install it either gives an error or reboots to a black screen and I have to force boot it back into the TWRP.
I have tried the following ROMs without any luck:
Oxygen OS
Lineage-18.0
Bliss
I would really like to get Resurrection Remix onto this phone but when I go to the following link to download it, I have absolutely no idea which is the best/correct download to use for my device.
resurrectionremix-ten - Browse Files at SourceForge.net
get.resurrectionremix.com
Any help with links to working ROM downloads or advice on the best custom ROM to use on the A30s would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you flashed custom rom for a30.
Here you can check for roms and kernels for the a30s:
Samsung Galaxy A30s ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & O
Improve your Samsung Galaxy A30s's battery life, performance, and look by rooting it and installing a custom ROM, kernel, and more.

There are not many custom developments available for this device model ... Sorry.

Unable to install any custom rom on my SM-N915FY

Hi all,
I have an Galaxy Note Edge type SM-N915FY with custom rom installed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/rom-micky387-rom-v1-0-t2998972
My phone is running on android 5.0.1 with kernel: 3.10.30-andrei-N915F-BOC6-v1.0
Baseband-version: N915FYXXU1BOB5
Yesterday I was trying to install the newer custom rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-edge/development/rom-micky387lollifamous5-1-1v1-t3200849
To make sure this will work, I needed to flash the TWRP , after I tried to flashed this using Odin, the phone got in a Bootloop. So I flashed the older TWRP again and my phone is booting again.
So I tried to clear the cache, but then I get the error: Unable to mount \cache, I didn't know how to solve this so I reflashed the TWRP again through Odin, but still the same issue.
Do you guys know how I could install another custom rom? My phone is rooter, just to make sure.
Thanks in advance.

To move on to newer custom ROMs (based on 5.1.1), you need to download and flash Stock 5.1.1, which you can download from here, then you can root it, to get the necessary files for doing so, check this thread out.
Credits for TWRP, new ROMs and the possibility of root on 5.1.1 go to micky387.
You Saved me. After I flashed the original android 5.1.1 I was able to flash TWRP and install custom rom.
Many thanks!

Installing Phoenix new Rom for Galaxy s7 G930F

Hi everyone, Newbie here, I wanted to install the new phoenix ROM for the galaxy S7 G930F but it says it can't be done if boot loaders been updated to G930FXXUIBPH6 . Is there anyway around this ? This will be my 1st attempt at installing my 1st Rom as ya can tell lol . Any help would be appreciated Thanks x
You basically have to use Odin to install an older bootloader and modem file and then Phoenix rom will work without any issues. On the Phoenix rom page they will have the bootloader and modem that they recommend for their rom so it saves you having to look for them elsewhere. Just download a copy of Odin 3.12 and use it to load the bootloader and modem file before you install the new rom. You will be able to find out how to do this by searching on this forum.

Dualbooting custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy s6

Hi,
I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy s6 g920f using TWRP and Magisk v14.0. While working perfectly, I decided to dual boot a custom rom with my stock one, using dual boot patcher. However not only can't I patch the kernel for my custom Lineage os 15 Oreo s6 rom I found:
mega.nz/#F!omZF1IQJ!2bk4dxzyW8ZwluqgrH945g!p3pCyaxI (please put https:// infront of the link to make it work as I am not allowed to post urls yet as i am new)
using dual boot patcher, but I also can't install anything using the flasher. This isn't too big of an issue as I can just flash it in twrp, but as said before, I can't patch the IMG kernel and if i download it as a .zip and patch it, when I go to install it redirects me to another file I don't want to install. I have a nandroid backup, which I have downloaded to my PC. The only reason why I want to dual boot my s6 is so I can still use the gear VR, which is great fun! Please help as I can't figure it out
Thank you

Trouble installing custom ROM on stock AT&T LG G2

I am having a problem installing customs ROM on stock LG G2. My phone was bricked so I reverted to stock AT&G firmware using LG flash tool (Android version - 4.4.2, Kernel version - 3.4.0).
I then perform the following steps:
(1) Enable developer mode with USB debugging
(2) Use Kingo Root to root phone
(3) Install TWRP using AutoRec
(4) Update TWRP to latest version (3.2.1)
This is where the problems start. I get the same result when I try installing crDroid 7.1.2 or Resurrection Remix 5.7.4 custom ROMs.
The installation of the custom ROM (and gapps) succeeds in TWRP and then I reboot the system. However, the reboot always results in the "LG" logo showing for 1/2 seconds and then a constant black screen.
I am able to recover the phone from this by putting it into firmware update and then using LG Flash tool however I would still like to successfully install and use the custom ROMs. Not sure why this is happening (I am sure it might have been treated with in the forums however I cant find anything). Any help would be appreciated here as I really do not want to be stuck on stock AT&T firmware.

Update: It seems as if older ROMs can be installed with no issues. I got a copy of Cyanogen 12 and it installed perfectly and works fine. However, trying to install new ROMs still give issues. Don't know if I am missing something here and/or someone had a similar previous experience.
