it would be very, very, veeeeery helpful to get a recovery.log!!

When trying to flash incomplete / corrupted ZIP file you will be treated with the Error 1 on TWRP recovery.

On H83010i, bootloader unlocked not rooted. Want H83020f rooted

I have successfully unlocked the bootloader my H83010i version.
I started down the path to root my device using H83010d tot file but stopped because I didn't know if when I upgrade to android 7.0 versions if I would lose root?
Therefore what is the easiest way to get to H83020f rooted?
How do I go from H83010i to H83020f and be rooted?
I have rooted a lot of samsung galaxy phones but this is my first LG so I am struggling a bit to understand how to upgrade. I assume if I do an OTA update it will install the latest version? I checked for system updates and it just said there is an update and to start downloading it but I don't know which update version that is?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

First of all, no need to use 10D tot file anymore. Download and install 20A kdz front autoprime located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/stock-h830-20a-rom-flashable-zips-imgs-t3511294
Once that's installed, set up your system and then follow the following guide to get TWRP an root:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/root-h830-running-30a-nougat-t3524322
After you have TWRP and root download the flashable 20F zip and install from TWRP (make sure to delete recovery from boot.p file after installing and also flash root). Here's the link to 20F:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/stock-h830-20f-rom-flashable-zips-imgs-t3592855
If you follow all of that, you will be on stock 20F, rooted and with TWRP. After that, I recommend checking out the following custom kernel and installing that and using magisk instead of SuperSU. Kernel located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g5/development/jan-17-2017-20c-deodexed-kernels-t3539611
Hopefully that helps, if you need more help just ask.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write me this great information. I have a question about the (make sure to delete recovery from boot.p file after installing and also flash root). ???????? Is this explained clearly somewhere? I don't know what I should do.

After flashing the 20F version from TWRP, it creates a recovery from boot.p file in the system directory. If you don't delete this file before rebooting, you will lose TWRP. So, after doing the recowvery method to get root and TWRP and then after you flash the 20F from TWRP, after it's done flashing go to main menu of TWRP, click on mount, check system, go back to main menu, click advanced, click file manager and go-to system directory and click on the recovery from boot.p file and then delete. Now you can reboot without losing TWRP. Then you can flash SuperSU or magisk for root
Your Device software cannot be checked for corruption. Lock the bootloader
Thanks for the fast responses. After many hours of studying the posts and I finally got my LG G5 running on H830_20F_DeOdexed rom withh Asgard version 4.5 kernal and rooted with SuperSU v2.74.
However I keep getting the "your device software cannot be checked for corruption. lock the bootloader message upon starting up. see attachment
Does everyone get that message? Or is there a way to remove it?
I thought the Asgard kernal said it got rid of that?

You'll always have that message, no current way around it. Asgard kennel will allow you to pass safety net if you use magisk instead of SuperSU for root as it hides that the bootloader is unlocked from the system.
Where is Magisk?

Are you saying that boot up message will not be there if I switch to Magisk?
I tried to find magisk but I was unable to locate the install file and instructions on how to change from SuperSU to magisk. Do you know the link to it?

No. I said currently there is no way to get rid of that message unless you lock the bootloader and you can't do that after modifying the system (i.e. installing TWRP and root). I said magisk will allow you to pass safety net. All that does is allow you to use apps that won't work with root / unlocked bootloader. If you don't use apps like Android pay or other apps that don't work when rooted, it really isn't necessary to switch from SuperSU to magisk. Anyways, if you're interested in magisk use Google (or XDA search) and search magisk XDA.

On the thread you posted , it talks about a Samsung AntiRoot Removal Kit no idea what is that .......
Was the rom rooted before trying Magisk?
Can you get into TWRP?
Did you flashed Magisk successfully?
From Magisk support thread
Bootloop
If you end up in a bootloop when installing Magisk, run the uninstaller script in recovery, flash a clean boot image (the uninstaller restores a copy of the untouched boot image, so this step is “just in case”) and start over. If the uninstaller fails, just flash your unmodified copy of the boot image and you should be good to go. There’ll probably be some leftover files and folders from Magisk laying around in /cache and /data, but these can be removed manually.
First make sure your system can boot up without Magisk.
Boot to recovery and install Magisk. Boot up your system without installing any modules. Also see "Module causing issues" below.
If your system bootloops again and you're using a custom kernel, try starting over without installing that kernel. If there's still a bootloop your system might just not be compatible. One possibility is to try finding another custom kernel that is compatible. Also see "Nothing works!" below.
Try to flash Magisk again , if everything fail as we really do not know what the Samsung antiroot removal file did , you may have to start fresh all over . I mean flash stock rom again and do it all over . If you decide to do so . Check this thread use it as a guide , in order to avoid losing your data ( factory reset) use home_csc instead of CSC file but it must be same as the one you have now, you know it?
After your pone boots normally , use this guide to install TWRP
Follow steps 1 -9 exactly at 10 use Magisk instead of SuperSu , with Magisk Dm verity file is not necessary

Can't update

My device is rooted and i have installed a TWRP recovery, & i want to update it, but always stuck at the recovery mod with ERROR 7!! help plz
This is because you're trying to update without flashing back stock recovery.img of your firmware build, and TWRP isn't able to analyze and confirm the update package as valid before starting the update process.
To update correctly, extract the recovery.img (32MB like) from your update package (probably you'll need to downlaod the update.zip of your actual firmware if you didn't stored a copy) using Huawei Update Extractor program, flash it by ADB in the same way you flashed TWRP and once done, update again. Then you can flash TWRP again.

S7 G930F stuck in a bootloop after attempt to install TWRP

Hi everyone!
I wanted to finally flash a custom ROM on my G930F (vanilla, with the latest official update) and started by installing TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-0-herolte.img.tar) via Odin (3.13.1) following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770.
Everything was going smoothly until step 9, because after swiping right I tried rebooting before flashing anything (found a thread on Reddit advising to just follow the guide without proceeding with rooting as indicated in the last steps). So now I'm stuck in a bootloop and I have no idea what to do, I can only access Download mode but that's it.
How do I solve this problem?
Step 10 included scenarios for both if you want root, or if you just want to boot successfully
Did you download and flash the dm-verity and force encryption disabler zip as per the step 10?
Repeat steps 6-10 and flash that zip

Thanks for answering!
Yes I figured out, installed TWRP via Odin again and then tried flashing that thing without wiping as shown in the video, but then I got some error messages and the device wouldn't boot up again, telling me I had to do a wipe. So I just went into recovery and did a factory reset.
Now I'd like to flash LineageOS but I'm not so sure anymore since I've had so many problems, and I have a few questions:
Do I need to reinstall TWRP?
Do I need root?
What version of LineageOS should I download?
Is there a guide for flashing LineageOS on the S7?

Do I need to reinstall TWRP?
No TWRP will remain until you remove it or flash stock firmware.
Do I need root?
Not required to flash custom Rom's but useful
What version of LineageOS should I download?
Look at the ROM section and read up on which one you want, there are several different ones and builds so the choice is yours.
Is there a guide for flashing LineageOS on the S7?
There is always a guide contained in the post for the ROM usually at the beginning. The process of flashing Rom's is generally the same no matter what Rom you use.

[Request] Oukitel K7 Pro - Stock ROM request

Hi all,
While trying to root my phone, I unfortunately managed to brick it.
Even more unfortunate, I cannot find a stock ROM for the K7 Pro. There are plenty for K7 and K7 Power, but not K7 Pro. The K7 Pro runs on the MT6763 processor, unlike the K7, which is MT6750.
If anybody could help me out, that would be incredibly appreciated!
ROM Found!
The kind people at needrom.com have made a ROM for me.
For anyone still looking for a K7 Pro Stock ROM, go there. I cannot provide a link since I do not have enough posts on these forums.
what part of ROM do you need? I got all the backup files for Oukitel k7 pro build no. v7.0_20191111 .. But I cant upload a lot of them.. So be spicific.
Here is my boot.img rooted with latest magisk https://drive.google.com/open?id=1O01eemrsPM5LiMgx437wbV3QYWKPvf7A
this is the original recovery.img https://drive.google.com/open?id=1S-BYsXhCf2LG_r-MV6BWklik9a52LG5r
you can just flash both of them over ADB fastboot
Thank you so much for the boot.img! I was previously trying to install Magisk and was having difficulty.

Have you unlock your bootloader before flashing on ADB?
Did you install the Magisk.apk manager? If not then install it after or before you flash the boot.img..
What actually the problem is?
No I didn't install it, could you pass me the apk? Should I install it after flashed with boot.img?
