Problems with Google Go search forcing portrait mode - General Questions and Answers

Can anyone please tell me if this is a problem with Google Go Search or a problem with the device? I have a Walmart ONN 10.1 Gen 2 100011886 running Android 10. The Google Go version is 3.23.360231743. Using the device in Landscape mode Google Go Search forces to a portrait mode, then back to landscape when a site is clicked on. Turning off auto-rotate has no effect on this. It drives me crazy to have to constantly rotate the device over and over and round and round. I can't find any setting as often referred to when using Google.

Did you ever find an answer? I have that tablet as well and my problem is just the opposite. Google go is always in landscape mode and I use my tablet primarily in portrait mode and when I try to do a search, it's stuck in landscape mode and I can't get it to rotate to portrait at all.

landscape caller Id

I have the Stock updated rom on the HTC Fuze. I am annoyed that the caller Id/incoming call screen does not come on in landscape mode.
update (work around)
I come up with a solution that allows me to use applications in landscape mode and be able to screen incoming calls.
I had previously used advanced configuration tool 3.3.0.0 to enable landscape mode. While in landscape mode the dialer screen would malfunction if the keyboard was closed (even if I used screen changeScreen v2.78). Apparently landscape under screen in settings is different than open keyboard landscape. I had to either always have the keyboard open to view apps in landscape or answer every call.
I checked again to see if anyone else had this problem and knew a fix and came across my post. Maybe someone else with the same problem might find this post and be directed to the posts below.
I currently use the sensor to rotate certain applications. The device stays in portrait mode so the dialer cprog works (after a delay).

[Q] Is there an app...

Im looking for an overlay app of any sort that helps my screen rotate. I have no problem with apps causing my screen to rotate into landscape, but if I turn my phone to any side or direction it will not rotate. Also the only way for me to get back into portrait mode after its already in landscape mode is by going to instagram (an app that only allows portrait mode). Im not sure if the sensor in my phone is broke but regardless of what rom im using this problem re-occurs and gets pretty frustraition

[Q] Phone stops auto rotating

I've came upon a bug and wanted to see if anyone rise has encountered it. Randomly my phone will not rotate from portrait to landscape. Once chrome actually got stuck on landscape and wouldn't go to portrait. Disabling and enabling rotation seems to fix the issue temporarily. I can't seem to pinpoint what's causing it. Everything is stock still, the phone is rooted and I'm using the Google Now launcher.
Google Now Launcher doesn't let you rotate the screen into Landscape, you'll need Xposed + GEL Settings or Nova Launcher/Apex to allow it to put the phone into landscape mode while on the home screen.
Happened to me all the time in cm11 snapshot m9. Never happened o me otherwise.
I think it's a bug. It happened to me sometimes and it takes a while to rotate.

[Q] Android stick + portrait mode

Hey guys,
I'm currently working on a dashboard, developed in HTML and CSS and i want to display this dashboard on a tv screen (screen hanging vertically). The problem is that the TV screen itself does not have a native portrait mode so i googled around and found the android stick which "might" solve this issue.
Is there any android stick you guys know of that can force the display (of say an app like Chrome) into portrait mode? I have a google chromecast but it doesnt seem to do the trick.
Try the app ultimate Rotation control. This fixed my problem the other way round. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate

How can I get my Android box tell apps it's not a touch device

I have a NeXBox A95X and for some things it works really well, like Plex.
However other apps seem to default to, for want of a better word, a touch screen configuration.
For example iPlayer will not let me navigate with the cursor keys and I have to switch to mouse mode from the remote that came with it.
Also Google Play will not let me navigate properly using the cursor keys either.
I've looked for settings that set it into a different mode but cannot find any. Does anyone have an idea if there is anything I can do?

I am currently using an EM95X Android Box with a Viewsonic touch screen. The touch screen has been working perfect with the box. My issue is with the rotation ability. Anytime I force the screen into portrait mode the system UI crashes. Unfortunately, I need the monitor view to be vertical. I cannot figure out how to stop it from crashing. I have tried several rotation apps with the same results.
I have went into the build prop to view the rotation texts and the only thing I have found is this:
"Persist.sys.app.rotation=middle_port"
I thought I might be able to find somewhere I can change the rotation, but I have not.
Any suggestions?
