Settings not stored - General Questions and Answers

Hello there,
In my Rom on a new phone (blackview bv9900) some settings that I Set eher not saved.
After a reboot the specific settings are disabled.
Some settings for Apps in Accessibility settings, wireless in streaming settings and something more.
The Accessibility / streaming settings are important settings for me.
Is there a way to Set a persistence for this to enable it after a reboot?
This Stock Rom is a little bit buggy.
Kind regards
Chris

[Q][SOLVED] Turn on animations again after turning them off?

Hi guys,
I turned off animations in developer menus. Now they are grayed out and I can't turn them on again. Is there a way to turn them on without rooting or resetting the phone?
in the Display settings in the general settings section you'll find the animations option...

It's not that unfortunately.
If you go to developer section and set Windows animation scale to off there is no way turning it on again.
Found a solution!
Found a solution without rooting.
1. From play store download spare parts and set both animation settings to normal.
2. Go to Dev section in settings and confirm the settings by choosing it once more. It doesn't work if you just use spare parts for some reason. Settings are back to off if you don't confirm them.
3. You can uninstall Spare Parts after that.

Slow notifcations during sleep ?

It seem push notification does not work well with Mate 7... for instance... whatsapp web.. in order for it to read messages at all I need to push the power button constantly to wake it up from sleep..

I don't know if this has been solved but their is a option on mate 7 which allows you to toggle between notification push and how you handle it when screen is off.
Go into protected apps and enable it and make sure notification manager is set to allow.
i dont see notification manager in protected app.
it's in settings.
Under "privacy & security" you'll see Notification manager and Protected Apps.
From main settings i have only security option no privacy&security.Mine mate 7 is 09-european version.
I'd suggest taking a look at your settings again.
Under "Privacy & Security" section you have:
- Location Access
- Do not disturb
- Notification Manager
- Protected Apps
- Security
- Fingerprint ID
- Backup & Reset
Yes i was in restricted and notification options but there is no option to set notification manager to allow, notify or restrict options.Notification manager is not on the list of apps for which you can set this 3 options or notification manager is with some other name in the main list.

Disable: Turn off Background Data while Phone is Sleeping?

So, I turned on a setting a few days ago, and I can't remember how to turn it back off.
The setting behavior basically disables my phone from updating while the screen is off. I did this to save battery life, but it's becoming a hassle more than a help at this point. I can't seem to remember where I changed this setting, so I was hoping someone could help.
If it helps, I have already checked these locations, and it is NOT one of these settings:
Settings --> WiFi --> Advanced --> Keep WiFi On During Sleep
Settings --> Data Usage --> Restrict Background Data
Settings --> Battery --> Battery Saver
If it helps, this is my software config:
Moto X Pure (2015)
Android Lollipop 5.1.1 (rooted)
XPosed Framework (GravityBox installed)
Apex Launcher
That's about it. I do not have any other "tinkering" apps installed that would mess with system settings. And to be clear, I'm looking to disable this setting that I previously enabled (but can't remember how I did it).

Camera custom settings, change name?

When you're in the Pro mode in the camera application, you have the option of saving the settings your using, but i can't find a place to edit the name of the saved setting, is that even possible? Would be nice to call the settings something else beside Custom 1/2/3...

Accessing the 'Standard' Lollipop settings menu

Hi all,
When I open the settings on my lollipop device I seem to get a cut down version of the settings options (Menu's and menu options are missing, like accessibility, advanced audio setting, etc)
I know these options can be accessed because I somehow managed to get to the advanced audio settings using nova launcher (I cant remember how)
Is there an app or something like that I can download to open the standard setting app?
Thanks.
