Dear all,
I have recently adquired an Android Tablet PC Bmorn v11 from China. I have also obtainded the original ROM from the manufacturer, that is a unique file with .img extension.
I'm trying to unpack this file to modify and customize the firmware for this tablet. The problem is that I have tryed everything with no results and I am without ideas right now. I'm goint to detail what I have tryed to see if any of you have some idea to try.
- When I execute the file comman I just get file_name.img: data (I waited to get a filesystem to mount the image).
- I have tryed to mount the image anyway, trying filesystems ext2, ext4 and even others like cramfs with no results.
- I have tryed unyaffs. (Invalid magic result).
- I have tryed ext4_utilities. No results.
- I have opened the file with hex editor trying to find some logic, file extructure or a known magic number. Nothing useful.
- I have tryed to dump the file to an sd card, as if it was a disk image, but again, no results.
I will be grateful if any of you can can contribute with some suggestion.
Have you tried a program like Android Kitchen, or Android Utility
Yep! I've tryed. Unfortunately these programs often are device specific.
hello...
i've searched and searched and can't find the answer....
if some dev can please tell me how to get around this i'd be GREATLY thankful!
Problem: when i make a ROM, i want to change the Software number & Build number of the ROM. so i change them in the build.prop.
once i do that, i zip up the file, put it onto my SDcard, boot my phone into CWM Recovery.
then i try flashing the ROM. it fails.
never works.
always giving me an error about how it can't open the file (bad)
i read somewhere in another forum that to get around that, you have to modify the updater-script... but which lines do i modify?
please someone help, i'm stumped...
Hello all,
Firs I like to apologies if I've posted in the wrong section of the forum.
As the title says, I have a Iglo A101 with GingerBread 2.3.4 phone and I accidently deleted the system/bin/sh file.
I was searching for a2sd and I downloaded it, but when running it, instead of pressing 1 - "install a2sd" I pressed 2 "uninstall a2sd", by mistake, and by the time I realized the sh file was deleted. Now the phone is no longer rooted and can't be rooted and also my Wi-Fi doesn't work anymore.
I've search the net for answer but I can't find a solution to this type of phone.
Could someone help me fix this or at least get the Wi-Fi working again?
Thanks in advanced...
OK, I've manage to contact the retailer and he gave me what appears to be the all system files, as now I have a rar containg system.img userdata.img recovery.img etc etc. How do I install this files, because he doesn't appear to know either. I tried from the recovery mode using install update.zip from sdcard but it give's me invalid OTA package and I can't find an answer on how to flash a img file from recovery mode...

Does the device have fastboot? If so the files need to flashed using fastboot. The command is fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot flash system system.img.
If your device does not have fastboot then you will need to extract the system.img and make a flashable .zip so you can flash through CWM or whatever your recovery is. If you are using stock recovery then I eexpect you will either need to find a solution or send it off for repair. I will have a look into helping you get your device back up and running but I cant promise to succeed. Give me a few days and I will report back with any solutions or info to get you on your way to fixing your device.
Regards
Blackwatch

hi
i had similar problem on this device a101 i did not delete any folder but by rooting the device my wifi and Bluetooth stoped working.i solved the problem by the factory menu.....have you tried it?
i did factory reset, but since there a system file missing it doesn't solve it..Can't there be a way to create an update.zip package with the sh file and then apply like an update from recovery? I've been trying to understand what does invalid OTA package mean, I think if that would be solved then I could easily put the file back...
i think you need spb launcher
i have to admit i used it only ones before for china 5388 there i needed com + usb cable here you need just a normal cable us the boot on this phone is different i have all you need give me email i will send to you. i have scater for a101 file too.i never used it but i have.Us i said my phone work ok after reset from factory mode
still nothing?

If you have the system.img image, you can try to flash it in the phone with SP Flash Tool,
Here is the tutorial:

A101 Android
Please, can you here to give all system files, which were sent to you from retailer? I have the same model. Thanks!
Please anyone senior to comment of what I do and what's the right way ?
- I decompressed Chinese firmware for P40Pro. Finally extracted bunch of partitions as IMG files and I am lost now:
Linux says
>file system.img
> DATA
while I expected EXT4. Maybe extraction went wrong ? How do I now open IMG partition and get my Call recorder from it ? What other API I would need to extract to allow access to mic and speakers... Anyone can put some light on all this topic ?
Where did you get the firmware, If I could give it a try, I might be able to retrieve the apk (not sure, but there's always a chance if the apk exists).
Huawei switched away from the EXT4 file system to EROFS
Works like charm :

I found it here at easy firmwares. I also have found a script on XDA which should extract content of IMG file which is not EXT3 indeed.
Here is a thread about mounting EROFS
Maybe this helps someone ?
I get an error when I updated. it looks so error 412 #23234sQwerRddgg? Who can help me?
Hi, I would like to say in advance that I am grateful for any idea or solution.
Well, I wanted to install certain files, that is .apk files on my Samsung Galaxy S8, after which I created an Update.zip with a tool (Android Script Creator). Since my smartphone constantly stuck in an infinitely long bootloop, I have briefly reset my smartphone to sign the Update.zip with the app ZipSigner. After I reset everything so that I could install the signed Update.zip with TWRP, I got the error "Updater process ended with ERROR: 6 / Error installing zip file '/external/_sd/Update-signed.zip'". By the way, before that there was the note "no Digest file found", if that should be important.
If you have an idea what this could be and maybe a solution, then I look forward to your answer.
Many thanks in advance!
PS: If anyone knows how to replace .apk files and the associated data in the TWRP backup files, I would also be very happy about it.

Mount system. Go to advanced-file manager. There you can copy all the apps to their perticular location. Copy the files rom the updater zip. If the copying doesn't succeed then post the update.zip here
