No dialer screen during incoming call with unlocked phone (OOS11 update) - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

When the phone is asleep and someone is calling, it is all ok. So just like in the screenshot number 1
The incoming dialer appears normally.
However, when he unlocks the phone and the desktop is displayed, when someone calls us, the incoming call dialer does not appear. It is like in screen number 2. There is only a bar with "Reject /" Receive "call notification
This notification pops up after 3-4 seconds of delay from the ringer
This happens on every phone app.
Actions taken:
- Removal of application data
- Cache removal
- Reinstallation
- Disabling the system dialer and installing another (Google Phone)
- Setting of notifications and appropriate selection
- All permissions granted
- Proven "Do not disturb" mode
The whole problem arose after the OSS11 Stable EU update
Nothing helps
Anyone have any idea?

No email notification when in standby

When my phone is in standby and I get a new email, my phone won’t give me a notification. It doesn’t vibrate or make a sound. Only when I turn my screen on I can see I have a new email. In the sound options for a new email the vibration function is on. Also the solution in this topic namely:
UPDATE : If someone else has this problem, just set your 3G/GPRS connection "HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\[GUID]\Connections\[Connection Name]\Always on" to 1.

Doesn’t work for me. Also when the screen is turned on, and my mail is being synchronized, I only get LED notification and no vibration. Who can help me out?
I’m running the original .93 dutch rom, GPRS is always turned on and I'm using my hotmail account to synchronize every 15 minutes.
FIXED: see post #16
Did you checked already....
Your settings for the "Gebeurt.: Berichten: Nw. e-mail
which can befound below: Instellingen -> Geluiden en meldingen
That the options:

"Trillen"
I deactivated the notification on my HTC there....
(Very usefull when you receive continuously actionlog's from a server/router etc)

Yep, both the LED and the vibration notification function is turned on.
Hi! I had this problem too, until I changed the setting "AC/Battery resuming from suspend timeout", found in Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool under power management, from 1 sec to 15 sec. Now my Touch Pro is notifying me of new email even in standby. Hope this helps!
I am having the same problem.
I don't get sound or vibrate notification for email and sms.
I am using DCS v15 firmware.
I'm suspecting it's a firmware issue as I get notifications when I tried romeos v1.11
+1. I am using stock Sprint ROM 3.35. I am noticing this problem after hard reset and restore from sprite backup.
Its updating the emails periodically and sporadically but no notification either LED/screen message when in standby. Its driving me crazy. the whole purpose of PPC gets defeated if you dont have the emails updated regularly and indicated

I tried it but still no notification I have no problems with getting a notification of a new sms in standby, only problem is with new mail
This has been fixed for me. Dont know the exact mechanism to it. What I did is
1. changed my sound setting for email notifications (removed the LED and added the sound, was initially LED + Display notification). worked
2. then added in the LED. worked
3. remove the sound. worked.
Doesnt make logical sense. but hey I am not complaining.

Hi, I have a similar problem to this threads topic and i hope bones20 knows the answer. I have a diamond and use touchflow 3d so i dont need any notification showing a new email message, as it shows me the number on the email tab.
Do you know what i would need to do if i do not want any notification icon to appear for a new email message? Dispite turning off all the options in the sounds and notifications page for new email message, it still shows the icon stating how many emails i have unread. All the options above still show the icon :-(
it should work by default...
check your settings in sound and notifications
if you only access via wifi, it wont work because wifi is not enabled when phone is off

I did everything you said, but still no results. This is getting verry annoying... There must be a way...
Hey Guys,
I experience the same problems. No sound notification or vibration when a new email/sms arrives. I followed the solutions in this thread but didn't change anything. If antone has another idea/solution please let us know as this problem is driving me up the wall.
Running ROMeOS 1.13
chears
It's not working for my either
I tried all the suggested tricks and changes, but still no notification during standby. I've set up 2 email-accounts; one Hotmail (receive as message arrives) and one Planet-mail (check every 30 minutes). My time-out is set to 20 seconds for both AC and battery.
When the device is on; I do receive notifications (both sound and vibrate), but not in standby.
Seems a bit useless to me now
Duh!!!
I solved my problem, but I'm afraid won't do much for you guys. I didn't tick the notification box in sounds/alarms. Hence, I did not get any notification for sms/email. Duh!
Now it's working though...
I still dont have a definite solution to this. I have so far done the following:
1. modified the registry for always on connection
2.
1. changed my sound setting for email notifications (removed the LED and added the sound, was initially LED + Display notification). worked
2. then added in the LED. worked
3. remove the sound. worked.
Doesnt make logical sense. but hey I am not complaining.

3. Changed the upated to day updates instead of 3 days
4. Changed the configuration to use SSL:
http://kiribao.blogspot.com/2007/11/windows-mobile-messaging-and-gmail-pop.html
Setting up GMail POP Account Access on Windows Mobile 6 Messaging
1. Start > Messaging (opens Select an Account screen)
2. click New E-Mail Account (if you already have one configured then select your existing gmail account and then click Tools > Options... followed by another click on gmail account in the list of current accounts you have defined)
3. enter your email address (eg [email protected])
4. Enter your name
5. Enter gmail.com in the account display name
6. for Incoming mail server type pop.gmail.com:995 (notice the :995 - that's the POP port number you need to specify as per gmail's official setup configuration)
7. for Account Type choose POP3
8. for User Name type (and this is the trick!) recent:[email protected]
9. Type in your password (check Save password), click Next
10. for outgoing SMTP mail server type smtp.gmail.com:587 (again, notice the port number 587 added after column) and check both checkboxes below the smtp server name for requiring authentication and to use same username for sending and receiving email
11. click Advanced Server Settings and tick both checkboxes for Require SSL for Incoming E-mail as well as for Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail. Choose The Internet for the Network Connection dropdown on the same screen and click Done to continue with setup
12. click Next
13. Choose some frequency for automatic send and receive of emails (eg. Every 10 minutes) and select All Messages for Download Messages dropdown
14. click Advanced Settings and under When Deleting Messages dropdown select Keep them on the server
15. click Done and click Next to go to final step
16. choose message format as HTML and message download limit of 2KB (both default values)
17. click Finish
It is currently working for me.
FIXED!
YEA! Finally, it's working!!! What I did.. I installed Outlook Email Scheduler Set it up to check my hotmail every 5 minutes, and guess what.. It gives a notification right now! Man.. you should have seen my face when my phone was vibrating
Try it out and let me know!
For me, the registry was set to 12, and this didn't wake the phone up.
( HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\ )
When I changed it to 9 it worked !
no email notification
i am able to get the alerts but not when phone is in standby. when in standby i get vibrate but no sound. any ideas

Is there some way to block the incoming call popup at the top?

The incoming call pop-up thingy is annoying me daily. The buttons are very small, and when I end a call I sometimes click after the other person has ended it so I then start to send a text message (same place button).
I have gone into apps and blocked the popup notifications for all 3 call apps, & the contacts app, and then I went to apps the can appear on top and turned off some stuff there as well, but still the popup stays.
So I would just like to have the normal call screen, at all times. The same one you get when you start a call yourself.
Is there a way, without rooting, to do this?
I've seen the google dialer apk which would probably fix it, but rather have stock dialer if possible.
It's in settings for Messages but not for Phone. Could be different for different Roms.
There is a line in phone preferences xml called "call_popup_preference"
If you're rooted you could try flipping that to false.

Won't get a notification and/or vibration when I get a message

It has been like this for awhile, but it hasn't really been bothering me I guess until now I realized the importance of it, which I should of done this long ago cause it's been like this for a couple of months. Notifications are on, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
So, with notiication, do you mean just the sound and vibration? Or also the message in the upper tray?
It's not much information. So here are some possibilities:
- you have installed a skin and have not selected any sounds.
- in the accessability men you have set: play no sounds/feedback at all (it's for deaf people)
- You have some kind of do not disturb mode on, without the notification in the tray saying so.
- You have backgrond syncing of, and now apps only sync when you use them. So you get no notification.
- sound settings and vibration settings are off (not likely of course)
- the phone is instructed to play notifications to another device (watch or some other bluetooth device)
- your phone is not working properly. Try to restore to factory default and see if it is something in the software, or hardware. If not working after reset, ==> waranty
EDIT: in the title you say: when I get a message. you mean text message? NOtification sounds can be changed. Sms messages can have their own sounds en settings. It's in the sound menu.

Alright this may help or not, but let's say you message me thru the default standard messaging thru the phone. Usually, the recipient would get a notification of that message, shortly after being sent depending on the area's signal. I, however do not get a notification, vibration, ring, I do not get anything that notifies me in any way that I got that message, so I could being doing whatever on my phone, receive an important message about work or something, and never know about it. However I do have Smart Launcher and the messaging icon does have notification numbers to the top left of it, but that doesn't help really.

Where did you check if notifications were enabled. In settings AND in the app itself? you can also try to clear cache and storage of the app.
Ok I'm dumb notifications were on when I went thru messaging, but when I went thru the application manager they weren't on. Honestly don't remember how that'd happened, but thanks for the help bro.

Messenger (SMS) notifications disappearing after 1 second

When I receive a text message (using Google's Messenger), the screen lights up and I see the notification on the lock screen. After 1 or 2 seconds, without any input, the notification disappears before I can do anything. This has caused me to miss several (somewhat) important text messages because when I go back, the notification is no longer there to remind me to check my messages.
Any suggestions of how to fix this?
Same issue on LG V20 running Android 7.0. Started with Hangouts messages only and then spread to SMS/text messages yesterday. heads up notification displays for fraction of a second before disappearing. Same behavior with notification icon in notification bar. Shows for split second before apparently being instantaneously dismissed. Expanding notification shade shows no notification. I thought it was my messaging app Textra, but full uninstall re-install did not fix. Tried reverting to stock Android messaging app, still no fix. Reverted from Nova to stock Launcher, no fix. This is maddening! Sounds like it might be an OS bug, but your the first person to post something exactly like I'm experiencing. Hopefully more find this and report. No fix as of yet that I've found.
I had a chat with Samsung support where basically they had me first boot into safe mode to ensure no 3rd-party apps were messing it up (they weren't). Then (in regular boot mode), I had to enable all disabled apps (AT&T bloatware). Then, I enabled notifications for all apps.
This fixed my issue well enough. The notifications appear, then go away after a second, but then immediately come back. It's still quirky, but now the notifications are persistent.

Calls No Longer Take Up The Entire Screen OOS 9.0.2?

Recently since the update to OOS 9.0.2 whenever I receive a call, it vibrates and if the phone is unlocked a heads up notification appears, but the call no longer takes up the entire screen unless the heads up notification is tapped. Whenever the phone is locked, in order for me to answer a call I have to unlock the phone, pull down the notification bar, and scroll all the way down to the Phone notification in order to pickup a call. I checked both phone settings and system settings but was unable to find any setting related to the display of the incoming call screen. I also tried wiping cache from both the phone app and through stock recovery, cleared storage from the phone app, and made sure "Display over other apps" was allowed, but the issue persists.
Anyone have this experience or know of a way to troubleshoot the issue? Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Yeah, same to me, but happened randomly.
Solution found. I asked on the OnePlus forum and they pointed out that there are additional options in the notification settings of the Phone app. When you tap on Incoming Calls (*Not the Check Mark*) you would tap on Behavior and make sure to check Make Sound and Popup on Screen
