Hi, I got the lineageos 17.1 in this phone, but the IMEI is stuck at 0...
I tried using the motorola original firmware, but the baseband goes away and it turns into unknown, something like that happened to all the firmwares for this phone in loli, but one...
The one that shows up a baseband, is really unstable and the IMEI still 0.
At least with lineageos and the NON-HLOS file from the latest motorola firmware, I see the baseband is not unstable, but the IMEI is 0...
note: I have no clue on how to make the blankflash thingy work...
try smart assistent for motorola will download correct firmware

I am 100% sure the phone is a D800 (per the logic board )
If I try to flash D800 or D801 STOCK .tot firmware....they both will show null/unknown baseband, imei, etc. AND constantly reboots
If I flash LS980 STOCK .tot.....the phone shows the information (not null/unknown/blank) AND doesn't have the rebooting issue
(FYI: after booting into the stock ls980 zvc rom to get uninterrupted adb access to the phone, I changed the imei using QPST tool, to the imei numer that is on the inside of the backcover, because it was showing a wierd imei like 35030526000000.....Now everytime I flash the stock ls980 rom, the imei seems to reads correctly...so im guessing that stuck)
I also tried to flash custom LP based roms......I flashed the LP bootstack, then Blisspop.......and It bootloops right at the blisspop logo starts to appear (this is from stock .tot fresh installs....cleaned wipe) then keeps looping to LG logo then partial blisspop boot animation.
So, the common denominator seems as if the phone/logic board refuses to let any D800 or D801 baseband be flashed properly to it......So far ZVC (stock sprint kit kat) is the only baseband that sticks and lets it run any roms without rebooting.
I've never seem this issue before.......is this phone banned, blacklisted or something?
Hello. Faced such a problem, the network was gone. The first time I decided very simply, I installed a modem KRT01B (4.4) via fastboot,
M8974A-1.0.25.0.15, the firmware was at that time Fake Nexus (sashok). I decided to flash another custom firmware, and lost EFS (IMEI), restoring it on an instruction with xda, and returned to stock 6.0.1. Network was not, after the firmware KRT01B (4.4)
M8974A-1.0.25.0.15, again disappeared have, and in the settings of baseband unknow, IMEI is also unknow. How to flash the modem so that the IMEI does not disappear?
P.S: Sorry for my English, I'm from Russia, and I was helped by Google Translate
Installed the firmware via LG Flashtool, the result is the same
So a few years back i bought an unlocked LG G2 D802 phone from a local retailer. I have always been a Samsung user and never used it and forgot about it. Until recently i remembered about it and as it was out of warranty i decided i should root it and put some custom ROM on it. I rooted it and flashed a custom ROM . But it got stuck on the LG logo at the boot screen. i didn't think of anything at that moment at all. As getting a boot loop is a very common thing in Samsung devices as well and decided i should just stick with a Stock 5.0.2 ROM.
After flashing the stock 5.0.2 i noticed that i lost my imei, baseband etc, and i had forgot to make a backup of the EFS. So now i got suspicious of the phone not being a D802 . i opened it up and sure enough the antenna module had D801/D803 written on it, i proceeded and found the LCD digitizer had D800 written on it and the motherboard had D801 written on it. Now i'm stuck with a useless phone which doesn't have any imei and baseband, i cannot click on the build options to even enable USB debugging mode and i'm not sure of the model.
I should add here that now if i try to flash a stock ROM for d801 with the kdz method i get an error saying i should retry. if i do it with the .tot method it says the device model is d802, which it is not at all. I used the buildprop app and edited the device model to D801 and tried the .tot method again. This time it gave me an error saying that laf.img has been moved and gets stuck in the download mode. I really cannot understand what to do !! please somebody help !
Hello everyone. I have a question about my phone. Trying to upgrade to Marshmallow from Lollipop and want to keep my baseband version.
Background:
Samurai Kiwami FTU152d, mt6795 chip, running lollipop 5.1, there is a japanese version of this exact phone FTJ152d with marshmallow 6.0 rom available online. The phone itself is exact same hardware and have all global LTE bands which are enabled or disabled by the baseband that comes with rom. The US version does not have any rom downloads available online except the one i made by readfirst backup. I am using v5.1728 version of flashtool and it is working fine for me.
Issue:
I made readback backup dump of phone, and flashed marshmallow on the phone but it also changed the lte bands so that japanese region bands are enabled but the US bands are disabled and IMEI info disappears. I have tried to just format and download nvram and secro partitions from the backup to recover baseband and imei but that doesn't help.
If i downgrade using the backup i can get the phone back to lollipop and can also recover my imei information flashing nvram, secro, system, boot, preloader and all other folders as shown in the attached screenshot.
Is it possible to preserve baseband version by skipping certain partitions because skipping just nvram and secro, the phone still gets its baseband changed to japanese version.
Thank you for any helpful feedback/tips.

do you think if you downgrade android 11 to android 10 will the imei come back?
unfortunately it wont allow me to flash any older firmware only the latest one
You should try with this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...oader-usb-vcom-and-cycling-rebooting.4322581/ the general procedure might suit for all MediaTek variants, I didn't check completely the thread, you should interchange some files for/from your model.
Probably, it requires at least the OEM unlock toggle to be switched.
Be warned that I didnĀ“t try it on a Samsung Mediatek device because I had the Exynos/Qualcomm A10/20/30/50/70 variants, not the MediaTek, but with most of MediaTek Realme, Xiaomi, it works.
You can add also this tool to the job https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient.
Definitely some firmwares erase the baseband becoming to null, in the theory that IMEI is not really lost, then returning to a working baseband they also have to come back, but if they have gone then returning the baseband only, it only will return the ability to make calls.
