I m going to buy the tablet Wammy desire having JELLY BEAN OS..can anybody advice me a custom rom for it...Its specs are Rockchip rk 3066 1.5 ghz dual core cortex a9 ,mali-400mp4 quad core,7inch,1 gb ram

Though i faced problems with the driver. and another important thing is that I executed the command one by one mentioned in the ROOT.bat file. I dont know why running the batch didnt work for me. Also, the embeded adb only worked not the one with the android SDK.
I tried flashing CWM, but kind of soft bricked my TAB. I had to reflash stock firmware again to get my TAB back

The reason I looking for the latest ROM is because I am getting a screen distoretion
and guys from wickedleak directed me to download a latest firmware
Also gettting some random freezes now and then

Thanks for pointing out the ROOT.bat I got the ROOT_icood70pro but ddnt realize the embedded adb is the only adb I never try and that is the working one with my RK3066. I am using Ployer Momo7 dual core.

Yes, installed the version 1.2 a few days ago. Installation worked, no problem at all. Just follow the instructions in the readme file.
- Use the recovery.img form the 1.1 version zip.
- One more thing, the deleting (cant remember the correct name) did not count to 16384 as in the manual. It finishes at 4096. Had contact with the author and he agreed, the readme is not exact in this case.
Now, with the new image, I have full root, all Chinese apps are removed and all works really well.

So far, if you want multi user you have to do it manually.
Check what the script does and the you have to copy your current user to the new user folder as the apk to create user is not there.
/system/data/users
./0 == Current User
./10 == New User (could be any number)

I can recommend www.pipomall.com. 1st bought a M8PRO from them and then a M6 and really great service with honest advice via online chat on their site. Got great deals as well and shipping via DHL was like 5 days from Hong Kong to New Zealand.
Both are great tablets - If you're keen on using it mostly for gaming you may have more issues with the M6 and game compatibility due to its high resolution - its no fault of the Pipo but the game devs still catering for the more popular resolutions.
Good value for money these little beauties

What do you mean by check what the script does, which script?
Found the user dirs and can copy them, but i could find no script or anything resembling in my searches.
Really would like to add multi user support.
20-07 - I found something:
Add:
fw.max_users=5
to build.prop, then rebooting, enables the feature. This allows up to 5 users, change the number as desired.
This did actually add user section into settings menu and allowed to add user. However when log in with second user it hangs on com.android.provision.DefaultActivity. Original user still works fine.
I'll keep searching

Vkworld VK700x Review - A $60 Smartphone

The VKWorld VK700 is a super cheap device costing just about $59.99 but with specs that are quite good for this price tag.
The phone looks quite good, has a CNC metal frame and a 6.9mm thin body.
It features the MT6580a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz, with 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. This is further expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD. There’s a 5-inch display with 720p resolution, which is quite impressive given the price tag.
At the back, there’s an 5mp camera intrapolated to 8mp while up front, there is a 2mp sensor intrapolated to 5mp. Both cameras do a decent job in bright conditions, however any pictures taken in low light look pretty bad. This was to be expected for such a cheap device.
The device is running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Unfortunately the manufacturer decided to use their own launcher so it can add a few "features" to the device. That doesn't work that well; the phone becomes laggy and the offered features are useless. Installing nova launcher makes wonders and the phone becomes quite fast and snappy.
Another disappointing thing about this device is the 2200mah battery. It seems quite impossible to get more than 2h of screen time on. Of course, not everyone uses their phone that much, and it js quite possible that the phone will make it through an entire day with moderate usage.
Most apps and games work really well on this device even with the 1gb of ram. The phone does get quite hot while playing games. Luckily the heat dissipates quick enough thru the metal frame.
This phone doesn't have a notification light and the 3 buttons at the bottom of the device don't light up.
Overall, for $60usd you get a good looking phone that cuts some corners in order to keep that low price.

OTA update to v11 firmware now available. But I don't want to loose root and the custom recovery, so I did not install it yet. The update.zip contains a lot of checks and probably also checks the bootloader and recovery.
Somebody already updated to v11? On the vkworld site, you can only download v08 firmware.

You have to put recovery. After that in recovery you have to install "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip" and ready. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxh2gs7XEYrYa3RDNUJWam02WGs/view?usp=sharing)

Getting the SPFlash Tool to work with the right drivers and timing is not always easy.
So is it possible to flash the custom TWRP through fastboot? Did somebody try that?

I own the VK700, paid around $65. Nice entry level phone, happy with it. Just some freezes sometimes probably because of the 1GB ram, and a lazy GPS. Except those minor issues, works great.

I rooted a VK700 a few months ago using RootGenius 2.2.6. More recently I wanted to root another VK700 but RootGenius was unable to do it, telling the VK700 was not in the list of rootable devices. I found it weird but then I used VRoot 1.8.6 and it worked fine.
Maybe you can try using these tools to root the VK700x?

Search for:
"How to root (your model number)"
Then search for:
"Custom recovery for (your model number)"
Then search for:
Custom ROMS for (your model number)"
If none of that finds anything then you're out of luck because nothing exists for your model number.

I had purchased Zoostrom box and have had a really hard time with it.
Out of the 4Gb storage.about 1.5 Gb the OS.450meg is the space to install apps. 2Gb is storage.some apps can be moved to this space.
Got some anyyoying 3 apps ECloud share/DLNA/Share.
This keeps prompting to enter a registration code every time the device is booted.Googling the issue and got no fix.Even Zoostorm support dont have a clue.
BTW this box gets shipped out with the orignal ROM, to fix the issue of Ecloud registration, one blog/zoostorm support suggested to update the firmware. which i did . It became a bit more stable. minor bug fixed. but the Ecloud registration still didnt go away.

The only fix that got rid of the annoying registration box was to install EShareServer v1.2.2.apk.

I have managed to play 1080 content form my USB Hd.and showBox 720P and plays well using its built on android player is the BEST of all.
Tested MX player and ARM codec also works well.
VLC is no go.
I would suggest not to sign into google account/playstore other wise the updates will kill the space.(450meg)
Since last year I managed to upgrade to Jelly Bean. now most apk can be installed.
better graphics and storage. the rom boosts the OS default storage from 450meg to 1 gb.
The latest stable version of KoDi is 17.6 and i have installed it and it works.(only neon version)
tried OverClock the box (its no go zone) All winner A10 shipped out this chip to its max.
let me know if anyone has done any testing to improve the performance.
I am happy to share how i got to this stage.

I had purchased Zoostrom box and have had a really hard time with it.
Out of the 4Gb storage.about 1.5 Gb the OS.450meg is the space to install apps. 2Gb is storage.some apps can be moved to this space.
Got some anyyoying 3 apps ECloud share/DLNA/Share.
This keeps prompting to enter a registration code every time the device is booted.Googling the issue and got no fix.Even Zoostorm support dont have a clue.
BTW this box gets shipped out with the orignal ROM, to fix the issue of Ecloud registration, one blog/zoostorm support suggested to update the firmware. which i did . It became a bit more stable. minor bug fixed. but the Ecloud registration still didnt go away.

The only fix that got rid of the annoying registration box was to install EShareServer v1.2.2.apk.

I have managed to play 1080 content form my USB Hd.and showBox 720P and plays well using its built on android player is the BEST of all.
Tested MX player and ARM codec also works well.
VLC is no go.
I would suggest not to sign into google account/playstore other wise the updates will kill the space.(450meg)
Since last year I managed to upgrade to Jelly Bean. now most apk can be installed.
better graphics and storage. the rom boosts the OS default storage from 450meg to 1 gb.
The latest stable version of KoDi is 17.6 and i have installed it and it works.(only neon version)
tried OverClock the box (its no go zone) All winner A10 shipped out this chip to its max.
let me know if anyone has done any testing to improve the performance.
I am happy to share how i got to this stage.

If you want to search just look for Rikomagic (MK802II firmwares gathered on one place)
Allwinner 10 justop-android-tv-box-v20-rev3
There were many roms I tried but I found this one stable and still in use as a daily driver.(Most of them are useless and old. feel free to have a go)
Help vidoes and tools needed are all avilable.(process and Phoenix burn tool is the same for all)

All I would Advise for testing purpose is to keep 2 SD cards. burn the orignal on one, just in case if you mess up so you can load the orignal back and start again.

Hi to all!Finally the android box works correctly after this user guide.
<<The method is just a little bit different till now: burn the firmware with PhoenixCard Tool on your micro SD card, insert it in your MK802II stick, power on and wait about 15-20 minutes; in my case the blue light didn't came off, so I turned off the power after more or less 20 minutes, took out the micro SD card, and then powered on the device. Try to use quality fast SDHC card to update. >>

Please note with is Rom the ethernet card does not work.Wifi works well.
Disable All Animation trsansitions in developers options.
Use Mx Player as default for any streaming media APK.(H/W acceleration support)
Get Lastest Kodi 17.6 neon for Jellybean

Where did you get the a working link for "REV3"?

This is supposed to be the original firmware (from the russian site 4pda).

Pity ! File downloaded twice but does not pass : "Parse burning image fail". That normally means that file is corrupted or broken somehow. Thanks anyway.

Do you use the latest USB Burning Tool? Do you press "start" first and then connect your USBmale-USBmale cable?
Please state how exactly you tried to unbrick your box.
Also you can download the relevant images of Bqeel Y8 max OR HK1 max X3 OR Vontar X3, as all of these boxes are similar/identical to yours.Especially that of Bqeel, if you unpack it, you will see that it has the H96 video

HK1 max X3, already tested but I don't like. H96 Max X3 is more better.
The 2 other , I don't know them. I am downloading Bqeel Y8 to test it.

I don't know why you have such a problem with the original rom of H96 max X3. I just tried it with my installed UBT version 2.1.7.3 and it loads all the way and I press then "start".No error.Of course I didn't try to flash my box, since I received it only today (version 4/32).
Are you unzipping correctly the 7z file (by 7z or winrar??).

I just installed the Bqeel Y8 max firmware. The flash went very well and this image is perfectly identical to H96 Max X3 one. Thank you.
As for the original firmware, I will redo everything to try to find out where the problem comes from.
I will take your advice into consideration and I will keep you posted.

The problem came from winrar. I just decompressed with 7z and the message no longer appears using the version USB_BURNING_TOOL V2.2.0.

This must be a Vietnamese ATV custom rom.I have not tried it because usually I dont prefer ATV.You can try it and tell us about it.

What are the cons of using a atv build when conpared to android build

so you installed that file downloaded from yandex , is the firmware true orginal and can be flashed on h96 max x3 s905x3 ?
are you on telegram where we can personally converse regarding this matter ?

So as I already stated you can use either of the firmwares for H96 Max X3 or HK1 X3 or Vontar X3.
But you asked for an ATV firmware and the one I linked above is the only custom ATV firmware I am aware of at the moment.The link is from a Russian site although the custom rom is Vietnamese.
I will stick with the original rom until a custom rom (not ATV) will be available.At the original rom I have almost everything, since I installed 2 apps for notification and navigation bars (which were the main problems for me).Also of course I use another launcher.

i installed the said atv firmware been using for 4 hours , it is smooth , the said firmware is based on stock firmware i think , i wanted to use atv build because of remote functionality , i can now use my phone for voice search and keyboard , also because android tv playstore is better because it has android tv specific apps and can be used with remote , also the ram consumption is less , by default only 800mb is used out of 4 gb , i see no major benefit in using regular android over atv ,

I am happy that you liked the ATV custom rom that I gave you the link for.
I know that some people like ATV roms and others (like me) regural android. Thats why many custom roms are made in 2 formats. As in everything there are advantages/disavantages in each case.
It is good that you said your experience with this rom as it may be usefull for other users that want ATV.

For notification use Power Shade (you must give All permissions required - sometimes one by one).
For navigation use Taskbar PC style where again you must give all permissionw required. It is not only a navigation bar but much more if you like. The minimum you have to do is to select all 3 buttons and if you want there are more (it may be like another launcher, status bar, you can hide it or not etc).
