Why are you trying to run a ROG Phone 5 firmware on ROG Phone 2? Isn't there already a WW rom for Rog phone 2?

I also met. I installed Notifications Off from the Play Store and hide the notification
The screen frequency of ROG 3 will be locked, but the screen frequency of ROG 5 is not locked. I don't know if there are other questions.

If it is locked again, it seems that the original system must be used, otherwise it may cause a crash
And may not be unlocked....Unless EDL mode is used, the lock is forced to open
No EDL unlock tool is currently released
Now that there is too little information, I dare not rush to find a way to lock it

The system won't install this FW once you've installed a WW rom, you need to use a fastboot rom for CN. I found it on another website but unfortunately I had to pay for it.

There's been an update yesterday for the F version 'R7PlusfEX_11_150916' I'm unsure if it changes anything or adds any problems with rooting.

1. You must have right ADB drivers installed. Please follow this guide (Prerequisites part)
You must end up with this:
Code:
C:\sdk\platform-tools>adb version
Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.32
Revision eac51f2bb6a8-android
Before I have installed SDK my R7+ was showing as Marshall London bootloader interface:

Correct drivers installed:

3. Power off your phone (wait, sometimes it take long time, it will vibrate when done)
4. Hold power button + volume UP to enter fastboot mode
5. Connect USB cable
6. Go to folder where your fastboot.exe is and press shift + right mouse and click on "Open command window from here"
7. Type

8. Type
Code:

and see if your bootloader is locked (some phones comes with bootloader unlocked). You should see this:
Code:

TWRP Recovery:
We are not going to flash twrp, because there is a risk of damage partition in the moment, so instead of flash, we only boot to it which is all we need!
1. Download this TWRP recovery (MIRROR) and put the file into the folder where your fastboot.exe is!
2. With phone in fastboot mode type
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
You should see this:
Code:
C:\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.865s]
booting...
OKAY [ 3.639s]
finished. total time: 4.506s
3. Wait, it can take 30 seconds to boot into TWRP!
Backup:
With TWRP running first of all I recommend you to backup all partitions and after backup is complete, restart phone and COPY the backup files from phone to your computer!
Root:
1. When still connected to computer copy SuperSU file to phone`s memory
2. Disconnect usb cable, power phone off, enter fastboot mode and connect the usb cable.
3. BOOT into TWRP recovery again and flash the SuperSU and reboot.
4. Check if you are rooted:
Viper4Android:
1. First we need to change the SElinux to permissive
2. Download SELinuxModeChanger-v3.2-release.apk here and place it to phone`s memory.
3. Install the app (unknown sources must be allowed in settings)
4. Run the app, grand root rights, click on permissive and I recommend tick "show notification after mode changed"
5. Go to Security center, Privacy Permission, scroll down and click Auto-run Management and ALLOW SELinuxModeChanger to start automatically after restart.
6. Reboot phone and see if SELinuxModeChanger starts - you should see the notification. If everything is fine, you can disable the notification by untick it in app.
7. Download Viper4Android and copy to phone.
8. BOOT into TWRP recovery again and simply flash the downloaded zip and reboot.
9. Click on Viper4Android app to install its drivers, grand root rights and reboot phone.
10. Now run app and enable it for headphones and you are ready to enjoy great sound.
11. I recommend to disable "Dirac HD Sound" in Music app settings to not interfere with Viper4Android.
Does everything work as you want now? Go back to TWRP and make a new backup!!!
That`s it! Hopefully someone will find this guide helpful! Enjoy!!!

Does this work on a chinese phone?
I just updated my R7 Plus to R7PlusfEX_11_151225. Oppotools 1.6.5 can be installed but the root button doesn't do anything. Is this a known issue and will this be fixed in a new version of Oppotools?
Hi all FYI rooting method for R7plus using the OppoTools v1.6.5 is no longer supported on R7PlusfEX_11_151225.
So to root it just use the old method.
Just install/flash the UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip via TWRP
That's all. Cheers!

Step 1 : Unlocking your bootloader #root needed
You need unlock bootloader first before installing twrp.
You will also need adb and fastboot tools. You can download them in a portable small form factor here :
On XDA Portal and select which OS running on your PC/Laptop.
Also you can use Terminal Emulator to unlock bootloader by passing step adb start-server and adb shell command.
Enable usb debugging on developer option, and extract adb and fastboot to a folder on your PC.
Type adb start-server and make sure to check the notification on your phone to accept debugging authorization.
Now type the following magical code will unlock your bootloader :
Code:
adb shell
su
echo -ne "\x01" | dd obs=1 count=1 seek=474048 of=/dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/aboot
Once it's done go to fastboot mode with reboot bootloader command. Use below command to check your bootloader status :
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
You will get the following output :
Code:
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.004s]
"Device unlocked: true" means bootloader is unlocked
Step 2 : Flashing TWRP
There are several ways to install this twrp with fastboot or terminal emulator that you can use.
Fastboot : just boot to fastboot mode and type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Terminal emulator : put recovery file on internal sdcard open terminal emulator and change to superuser access "su" then type
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/recovery
Once it's done you can reboot to recovery with reboot recovery on terminal emulator.
You should be inside TWRP now. It will ask you if you want to enable system modifications. You should swipe yes, otherwise your OS will replace TWRP on next boot.
Flash the latest zip from here to turn off forced encryption at boot and allow you to boot a modified system. If you're flashing SuperSU.zip, it will also do this for you so this won't be necessary.
Warning: If you don't flash either no-verity-opt-encrypt or SuperSU, you will probably end up in a horrifying never-ending boot loop of "corruption"!
Latest SuperSU : here
To disable encryption after flashing SuperSU or the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip, you must use the [Format Data] button on the Wipe page in TWRP. No other options will work.
Back up all your internal storage and apps data that you can to your PC. You can use Titanium Backup with SuperSU before doing this step if you like.
Warning: Using [Format Data] will wipe all your apps and data (including internal storage) off the phone, giving you the out-of-the-box experience of a new phone!
Once this is done, you should be able to backup/restore/use any function of TWRP without any issues.
Flashed SuperSU? You're done! Boot up (it will reboot a few times) and set up your SuperSU Manager to your liking and give this post a thanks!
Step 3 : Have fun!
Step 1 : Relocking bootloader
You can use Terminal Emulator to relock bootloader by passing step adb shell command.
Just type the following command to relock the bootloader :
Code:
adb shell
su
dd if=/dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/abootbak of=/dev/block/platform/7824900.sdhci/by-name/aboot
Once it's done go to fastboot mode with reboot bootloader command. Use below command to check your bootloader status :
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
You will get the following output :
Code:
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.004s]
"Device unlocked: false" means bootloader is locked again
Step 2 : That's all

[GUIDE] How to Convert your Nokia X5 to Global Nokia 5.1 Plus / Unbrick Guide

Unlike previously released Qualcomm based Nokia phones, Nokia X5 uses MediaTek Helio P60 processor.
However, unlike Nokia 3, it no longer uses authentication file, this will make unbrick easier.
After you read the full guide, you should understand how to unbrick your phone.
This guide should work on both 64-bit Linux distro and Windows operating system.
And this guide is simplified than previous guide to ensure your phone will get newer updates.

What you need to have:
- MTK Smart Phone Flash Tool, which you can download from https://spflashtool.com/download/
- Android Platform Tools
- For Windows users, patched OST LA: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1n91aYT9Di6_v4F3Wjlv8TjfeLc64AcYA and MediaTek USB Port driver, which is easy to find
- Nokia X5 Chinese firmware and Global conversion firmware: https://fih-firmware.hikaricalyx.com/fihsw_en.html
Part 1: DO FULL BACKUP
Because few critical partitions are included in this backup, this will ensure you can restore them.
Download "PDA-114A-0-00WW-B01" and extract it.
Open Smart Phone Flash Tool, choose the Download Agent file and Scatter File in the unpacked PDA-1100 firmware.
DO NOT USE DOWNLOAD AGENT FROM THE FLASH TOOL ITSELF!

Then pick "Readback" tab, add a category.
Double click this category, and choose the location you want to save the backup.
Use any text editor to open the scatter file, and find "userdata". You'll need the start address of userdata as the length of the full backup.
After it properly set, click "Read Back", then power off your phone and connect your phone to PC with both volume keys pressed and holded.
When you see a progress bar moving, you can release both keys and wait for the procedure complete.
Disconnect your phone when procedure completed.
Part 2: Flash PDA-1100 global firmware
Return to download tab, choose "Firmware Upgrade" in the download options, click "Download", then power off your phone and connect your phone to PC with both volume keys pressed and holded.
When you see a progress bar moving, you can release both keys and wait for the procedure complete.
If you just want to unbrick it as Chinese firmware, double click the Location of "lk_a", and choose "PDA-0-102A-00CN-lk.img" before you "Download", or you will unable to install later OTA updates.
Because it flashes service lk by default.

When you change the SKUID, change it to 600CN instead of 600WW, and the lk filename is different from global PDA-1100 as you will find out.

[GUIDE] How to fix "Find Device storage corrupted. Your device is unsafe now".
How to fix "Find Device storage corrupted. Your device is unsafe now" ?
(At your own risk... I'm not responsible for damage or brick)
Required :
- Be rooted and have TWRP installed !
- Miui Fastboot ROM : xiaomifirmwareupdater.
Tutorial :
- Download the Miui Fastboot ROM corresponding to your current Miui version.
- Extract files from the archive downloaded, open "images" folder and copy "persist.img" file in your smartphone Internal Storage (past the file directly in Internal Storage, not in folder !).
- Reboot in Recovery Mode.
- In your TWRP, open the Terminal (in "Advanced").
- Enter this two commands :
Code:
simg2img /sdcard/persist.img /sdcard/persist_EXT4.img
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/persist_EXT4.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist
- Reboot your smartphone.
More information :
I got this problem when I restored my Miui backup after try a Custom Android 10 ROM. At each smartphone boot, I got the message "Find Device storage corrupted. Your device is unsafe now", fingerprint unlock was set on "Off", and registered fingerprint(s) was deleted. When I added a new fingerprint, it was registered (until the next boot), but didn't work.
If you do a little research, you can find a other method on some websites where you use fastboot to flash persist.img. I tried and sadly it not work ("FAILED (remote: Error: This image isn't allow download)"):

I had the same error and found 2 ways to solve it:
1st:
I had flashed the MIUI 11 Rom from August 27 2019. I simply replaced it by the latest stable EU Rom and the error disappeared . Next I flashed the Rom from August 27th back.
2nd:
Find device storage corrupted your device is unsafe now
1. You need Unlocked Bootloader and TWRP. You can boot in TWRP instead of flashing it.
2. Download the fastboot ROM for the device. Extract it and copy persist.img file to the internal memory of the phone. Make sure put the file in internal storage rather than in any folder.
3. Put the phone in fastboot Mode, Power Button and Volume Down key.
4. Boot in TWRP by "fastboot boot twrp.img" command.
5. In the TWRP Main Menu. Go to Advanced ------ Terminal
6. Write the below 2 lines:
simg2img /sdcard/persist.img /sdcard/persist_EXT4.img
dd if=/sdcard/persist_EXT4.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist
7. Reboot the Phone and check.

Yes
So the solution is to log in to the device on Mi account with the mi account used to unlock the device. So basically you can unlock again the device but with the same Mi account used on the first attempt. If normal log in to Mi account is not possible, try to log in using google (press google icon on the bottom-you must have Google account in the phone, and it must be linked with mi account. After that i just launched miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24 and it worked instantly.
I didn't add mi account to mi unlock status even and still was working.
So the key is mi account used for device unlock for the first time- ( DIDN`T WORKED WITH OTHER MI ACCOUNTS)

buy the way this is the solution for UNLOCKING DEVICE, after that is easy, just install Minimal ADB and Fastboot and download recovery for your phone, put recovery in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder and open Minimal ADB and Fastboot and run command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after that fastboot boot recovery.img
and you are in TWRP - from there is easy to ,,fix find device storage is corrupt" if you have that error...
working for Redmi Note 7/7S Lavender
Had the same issue with my F3. I know this thread is a bit old. But I am in no really luck. I tried this method but it doesn't work. It says an error " invalid sparse file format at header magic
Failed to read sparse".

Alternatively, you can flash it with twrp. Copy persist image to internal storage, boot to twrp, select "Flash Image" by pressing the big button located at lower right, select the image file and upon selection the twrp shows another window to choose what are you flashing. Choose "Persist" and slide to flash, it takes just one or two seconds and after that just reboot. I had this problem earlier and fixed by completing these steps.
This thread is very useful. Many thanks to @SkullDead and Muz_paray

Hi haris43242 try this topic https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/persist-file-redmi-note-10.4312093/
my device is MI 11x and I'm facing this issue. I tried all these methods but nothing happens, the error is still there.
also, MI 11x has A/B partition, and TWRP and OrangeFox both don't show the persist partition.
can anyone help me with this?

[Solved]TWRP on Blackview BV 4900 Pro

(Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I could not find a forum for the blackview bv 4900 pro)
I am trying to install TWRP (unofficial build at https://unofficialtwrp.com/twrp-3-5-2-blackview-bv4900-pro/ ) on my Blackview BV 4900 Pro, seems to be able to transfer it to my phone, but cannot start it. The files vbmeta.img and recovery.img come from the previous link, respectively https://unofficialtwrp.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/vbmeta.zip and https://www.mediafire.com/file/hq4sq1xlnkafduv/352_BV4900_pro_lopestom.rar/file .
Firmware: BV4900Pro_US_ZN128e_V1.0_20211119V08_20211119-2023
What I have done:
- USB debugging on,
- OEM unlocking,
- Re-start in fastboot mode,
- Plug phone to computer
- In terminal:
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
< waiting for any device >
...
(bootloader) Start unlock flow
OKAY [ 4.394s]
finished. total time: 4.394s
(I confirmed on the phone that I wanted to unlock by pressing the volume + button),
-
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
******** Did you mean to fastboot format this ext4 partition?
erasing 'userdata'...
OKAY [ 0.011s]
finished. total time: 0.011s
-
Code:
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
target reported max download size of 134217728 bytes
sending 'vbmeta' (4 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.007s]
writing 'vbmeta'...
OKAY [ 0.002s]
finished. total time: 0.009s
-
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 134217728 bytes
sending 'recovery' (23588 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.762s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.313s]
finished. total time: 1.075s
- Unplug phone
- Turn off phone by pressing & maintaining power + volume +,
- Keep pressing power + volume +,
- See the "Select boot mode" page (that gives me the options to select Recovery mode / Fastboot mode / Normal boot),
- Select "Recovery mode",
- See Blackview's logo + the message "Orange state", then the phone becomes irresponsive. It is still turned on, but nothing on display. I can run
Code:
adb reboot recovery
and it will reboot, but again in orange state, then it reboots to the "normal" system.
What am I missing? Is this version of twrp unsuitable for my phone?
Apparently there used to be a twrp at https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=789936&st=2060#entry110507536 but it is not available anymore :-(
Apparently there was another twrp developed for this phone, shared at https://4pda-to.translate.goog/foru...=fr&_x_tr_hl=fr&_x_tr_pto=wapp#entry111020420 but the link is in error too :-(
I was able to flash a different firmware on the phone ( BV4900Pro_S1_210909 ), but the result is still the same.
Once rebooted (in recovery), the screen is still black (after a green line briefly flash at the top of the screen). The phone is still on :I can do
Code:
adb shell
BV4900Pro:/ #
But then if I try, following this post ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-flashing-roms-with-twrp-black-screen.3913052/ ), I try to use twrp from the command line, then it seems that it is not started:
Code:
BV4900Pro:/ # twrp wipe cache
TWRP does not appear to be running. Waiting for TWRP to start . . .
Press CTRL + C to quit.

Hello tbtbtata!
Could you upload the working TWRP for BV4900 Pro?
The files on the links above does not exist any more.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: I've got it. One has to register on 4pda, then you can download files.
Edit: Unfortunately this TWRP does not work on my BV4900Pro (Edition 2022 with android 12).

Hey btw you don't neeed twrp to flash GSI, just so you know…
Not as good as lineageOs, bat with fewer bloatwares and more up-to-date than what your phone cme shipped with.
[SOLVED] GSI on BV 4900 Pro: "Cannot load Android system. Your data may be corrupt. "
tl;dr: I followed the procedure to flash Android's Generic System Image (gsi_gms_arm64-exp-TP1A.220624.014-8819323-8a77fef1) on my Blackview BV 4900 Pro, but I am stuck in a bootloop that ends with "Cannot load Android system. Your data may be...
forum.xda-developers.com
I have the 2022 Version too. I try to flash the 2021 Version lk.bin (bootloader) and hope it works. Because the 2022 lk.bin don't play nice with a empty vbmeta.
