I used to review phones on YouTube a few years ago. OPPO was launching the F5 and they sent me a sample to review. I did the review and kept it aside. Never really inserted sim to try it out.
Now, I wanted a backup phone for my two extra sim cards. So I pulled it out and inserted the sim cards (Jio and Airtel). The phone starts well, and detects the sim cards, but strangely it doesn't register the network.

I tried manually too, it gives the following error.
How can I get it working?
Is there some factory lock they set? I figured there are some EngineerMode codes for F5, but there are a lot of options, can anyone pls guide.

i saw some forum's answers that it just maybe some old sim card -
i was adviced to change my sim card that was made back in 2002 for a new one -
not sure what may have been changed - but since all the phone numbers and messages are in phone (and google) memory
you risk nothing, and this sim change should be free.
i've already ordered mine and it awaits for me in cellular operator office
Hmm I was hoping that a trip to tmobile could be avoided but I guess if that's what I have to do.

i bought Moto G from amazon , great device been using it for two years but recently i moved to turkey & bought a Sim card
today my phone disconnected from the network & when i try to manually select the network it says " Your Sim card dosent allow a connection to this network "
so please could someone tell me what is the problem & how can i fix it ???

Hello, I bought an Alcatel One Touch Idol 4 LTE 6055U from ebay which is in pretty good condition but the only problem is that when I insert my sim card I get this message:
"Mobile networks have been permanently locked because you have incorrectly entered SIM ME lock 10 times. Please contact the carrier"

after pressing ok I get this:
"Sim network permanently locked" right under this there's a number field to enter a code, and below this are the "unlock" and "dismiss" options
This is the only problem, everything else works perfectly.
I couldn't find other threads with this problem so I'm wondering, is this fixable? what can you recommend? any help is appreciated

So my warranty is over, and the company i purchased the phone from MobileBD sucks in their customer service, last time i sent they installed a software that keeps poping errors on my phone, this software it seems is for sim 2 to work, because if i reset factory settings the sim 2 will stop working.
I am thinking of flashing a rom, that would make both of my sims work with no problem, and enjoy my phone with no errors.

I have a Nokia 3 on Android 8.1 and I can't update it on the latest Android 9 version. It just gives me a message saying that updates are temporarily unavailable.
I tried checking for updates with both wifi and mobile data and it still didn't work. I also googled it and read that people have gotten this when switching the sim card to a different carrier. I did switch the sim card too because I gave the phone to someone else but it was from the same carrier. I tried putting my old sim card and still had the same issue. Can anyone help me with this?
