Hi XDA,
I have a Moto G Stylus, model number (SKU) = XT2043-4. Is this the right forum?
Wehn I add my device to XDA I can only find these devices:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/c/moto-g-stylus-moto-g-pro.9921/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/moto-g-stylus-2021.12073/
However searching on GSM Arena I find three devices:
Moto G Stylus (Moto G Pro) (this forum)
Moto G Stylus (2021) (Model number doesn't match my phone)
Moto G Stylus (Model number matches my phone)
It seems XDA doesn't have a device/forum for my phone. I'm new to XDA. How do I add my devices/forums?
Thanks,
X

I asked moto support team many time about that but they could not give me answer every time... and actually i want to change the lcd with xt1031 not with 1028 (I checked the model number later) but there might be some compatibility issues as whenever i googled it, i found lcd of 1032, 1033 are compatible but i never find that xt1028, 1031 are compatible with xt1033.. thats why i want to be sure...please share your experiences friends

I don't know much about hardware but my friend who is an expert told me that the screen won't differ. You can try replacing the screen. Good luck
The vibrator is part of the motherboard IIRC. So unless you want to remove just that part, and are confident in your removal and replacement skills of parts on the board, I'd just get another phone.
The LCD is also a ***** to replace if not completely cracked (ie touchscreen issues).
Just remember the xt1028 is for verizon and I doubt works outside the us for any network.
Which phone should I buy?
Zenfone or moto g 2nd gen?? I know moto will offer guaranteed future update. but in very less price zenfone offering better hardware. So what you guys suggest?

I recommend the Moto G as it is practically guaranteed future updates to at least Android 5.0, also the Moto G has almost stock Android experiance with a better screen.
I personally own a Moto G (1st Gen) and love it so much I've recommended it to most people for a cheap powerful Android phone and I'm sure the 2nd Gen will not disapoint.
Also if price is an issue then go for the 1st gen Moto G as it should drop in price due to launch of the Moto G 4G and Moto G 2nd gen

But zenfone have 2gb ram but moto g 2014 have 1gb ram. Will it not give any performance effect?
Sometimes specs don't make a difference. I would pick the Moto G any day

I know people have tried importing spotlight player from moto x bit as far as i could see, nobody was able to use it on any other device.
I own moto g gen 2 xt1068 and i would be grateful if somebody could post the apk file from moto g 4g edition!
Only moto x n moto g 4g have permission to install spotlight player, moto g gen 2 being similar to moto g 4g should also be compatible i guess??
Can I use a 3rd gen Moto G on a Page Plus Pay As You Go plan? I've been reading around but am still not sure.
I have a 1st gen Moto G I flashed from Boost using the guide here, but I need more storage and/or a mSD slot.
I was looking at a local ad (listed only as a verizon motorolla phone) and asked the owner for some of entries in the "about phone". This is what I got;
“Model number moto g ( 3rd generation ) android 6.0”
“Build number mpi24.65-25.1”
“Sku xt1540”
“Version p2b”
“Ram size 2.00 gb”
“Serial number zy2237n329”
The pic shows verizon service (LTE) and it has a top speaker that could be 3rd gen, or it might be 2nd gen since I can't compare it to the bottom speaker (pic's bottom is cut off).
I'v emailed about the imei and maybe a swappa check can give me some additional info on the model number. Willmyphonework doesn't have any verizon compatible model listed and they seem pretty up to date to me.
The seller doesn't seem tech savvy at all, and does seem legit/trustworthy. Buuuuuuut, everything I'v seen contradicts the existence of a verizon version. Straight up scam? Did a few 3rd gens squeak out of verizon before just before the 4th gen release? Or ??
Any insight would be appreciated, as a trip to check it out is over a mountain range, and I'd rather not waste the time if it's an impossibility.
some extraneous info removed

I think OP is concerned with the Verizon piece here... Verizon is a closed network CDMA carrier, their branded handsets are extremely locked down. From what we have seen there is no Verizon variant of the Moto G 2015 and it is incompatible with their network, bringing the sale post the OP is refering to into question of legitimacy. To my knowledge the only Verizon compatible Moto G models are the original Moto G (XT1028 variant) and the new Moto G4 series.
Also, the XT1540 is the North American variant, not "international"... there is no all encompassing "international" version, all Moto models are region specific. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_G_(3rd_generation)#Variants
