@fxsheep Thanks for the port. I can install it successfully in HTC 10. However, the maximum pic solution is just 8M while it should be 12M for HTC 10. Can you fix it?

That's a known problem -- without EMUI some features and configuration can't be load correctly

@fxsheep i am trying to install apk on honor 5x itself on 16.1 microg variant. But it is throwing error. Should I give you logcat
I would like to learn how to port EMUI 8 camera for any other OEM to Magisk module.
Stock version is 8.0.0.201. Should work for Nougat 7.0 till Pie 9.0
Minimal files from stock rom are in folders: cameraplugins and priv-app/HwCamera2 from /system are here.
Warning - this will overwrite your system files and make your system bootloop - DO NOT flash it via recovery.
Full TWRP backup of camera app with emui, permissions, frameworks, libs folders is here.
Latest version that works on EMUI 8 is 9-0-0-104 @ ApkMirror. Also should works on 7.0 till 9.0

There are some errors:
- front camera (not found)
- video recording FC
- speakerphone (in call)

Magisk:

Kernel force encryption on first boot:
kernel_enable_encryption.zip
Install instructions:
-install ROM
- if you want to encrypt phone internal storage on first boot (there is no go back to decrypted storage so, WARNING) flash "kernel_enable_encryption.zip"
- flash magisk
- reboot

Not only front cam, but back cam isn't 13MP it is 5.3 MP
Front cam is not even detected.
Could cam app and driver be imported from RR Rom?
Haven't encrypted internal memory.

I suppose that there is needed to be transferred all lib and lib64 libcam*.so files and app itself. To give correct permission, and to push those files to those folders. Is @cuvetto active on this phone?
I have remembered that lenovo k4 note, have compatible MM rom, maybe and Nougat also is compatible?
I'm alive, and I still have my ulefone Paris.....
Maybe in future I can help @g0didit to improve this rom......

I think I am close to fix camera
First patch for camera.... (more to come soon as I got time, others feel free to help)
- resolution fixed (front cam 8.3M ????)
- don't use flash - no flash cam work (if shoot with flash, cam freeze and then got camera under your desktop need to reboot to work again)
- recording not work - FC

I just boot, try WLAN and SIM cards... nothing else..
Got new kernel from Tesla rom... so I will try to fix currently posted images instead of making another half working ROM
Do you got problems with charging and battery ? @xmarx got a lot of problems with battery and chaging...
I didnt used Lineage to long because of battery drain and camera not working, since I needed it, but MIUI I would like to try. Is there any link for that MIUI?
I have reinstalled LineageOS rom for two last days, and ROM it self is working pretty smooth. (My settings is always xperia keyboard, home, music, weather widget, xposed , all working via Magisk)
Since Tesla/Ulefone Paris is piece of crap with battery and default charger, could it be hardware problem? Even USB charging is working fine with me.
Can anybody help me with this problem? I have broken screen on my phone and purchase the new one, and when i change the new lcd the screen is not show any pictures, it was just light (blue), so i contact seller and he say that for this new screen i got to flash the newest original firmware from ulefone paris (S511_E11_GQ3025AH2_PARIS_MM_20161019) and he give me link where to download and it realy works. I dont know how but now with new firmware android 6.0 lcd screen full working. But now i have the problem, because i cant install any custom rom anymore (because the screen will not work) i cant get ROOT anymore... Works way, way better than I would've expected for a GSI.
So far, the only gripes I have with the ROM are:
- The fingerprint reader is not really accurate nor fast, but adding the same finger a bunch of times improves the reliability;
- Double tap to wake is missing;
- As far as I've seen, there's no way to disable the Ambient Display. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but it doesn't turn off when the device is laying flat for a while nor when it's in a pocket. Kinda concerned with burn-in;
Everything Magisk/Root related works fine, except for Viper4Android or Dolby Atmos.
Didn't have any issues restoring backups with Titanium, so far I haven't experienced a single crash.

Thirdly, the microphone doesn't work when sending WhatsApp voice notes. Haven't had time to actually call someone and see if it works there, but I'll add onto this post once I'll check.

Hey man, you still using this rom? how is the experience so far? I plan to install tmr, I wonder if it's stable enough for daily driver
this is very exciting! does this also mean that official pixel experience rom will soon be coming to cc9/mi 9 lite?

TL;DR: Yeah, as long as you don't care about the camera and the stuff I mentioned in my previous post!
Long version: I've been using this ROM as my daily driver ever since, and I really haven't noticed any actual deal breakers.
Performances are great, I'd say on par with MIUI! No stutters, everything feels really responsive and I'm able to hit a consistent 60FPS on high details while playing Call of Duty: Mobile.
DT2W is missing, but I've been using "Always on AMOLED" from the PlayStore, which apart from offering a customizable Ambient Display with burn-in protection also sort-of enables that feature.
The microphone does work, it's just that since I restored WhatsApp with Titanium Backup I had to manually allow the microphone permission. Oops.
If you use Bluetooth Headphones, though, they don't work while using the Google Dialer.
GCam sort of works? There's a 6.2 build for the Mi 9 SE which is kind of compatible, but the experience is really hit or miss. So far, I've not been able to find a MIUI camera port that doesn't crash on lunch or a more optimized GCam.
Apart from that, I'm loving this ROM. It's really all I'll need until a build of HavocOS will be available for our device

I used to install Havoc GSI pie on my phone, Anx camera works, calling and stuff work, but no viper and FOD sucks. I'll try this one myself. Thanks so much

Wait, does this mean that the ROM wasn't modified to enable the fingerprint scanner? If I were to flash another GSI on top of the MIUI vendors would it still work?
since no REAL bugs exist in this rom, can someone take this GSI and patch it to make it only for 9 lite with necessary fixes? thanks!

I got the Viper4Android 2.7 apk from XDALabs, once I installed it I flash Audio Modification Library, the module I linked and after a reboot it all worked
I'm waiting for the release to unlock my bootloader and test ... Is this GSI matching notification icons to notch size?
I was able to install, but FOD didn't work

Although the fp placement on the screen no longer shows up, you have to guess where it is I think, anyone know how to fix that?

hey guys want to write this guide to show you steps and fixes to get Android 10 working good on our dead htc u11+ (working with both QuackPhh and Havoc releases from treble project)
1. flash stock PIE rom, you can find it here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=search&s=2Q4DIMG you must flash it from download mode by placing the .zip inside SD card after preparing it with RUU Decryption Tool.
2. install TWRP (this version: https://github.com/sabpprook/androi...es/download/0.0.1/twrp-3.3.1-0-ocm_190501.img ) with fastboot using this command: fastboot flash recovery XXX.img (where XXX.img is name of twrp image you just downloaded)
3. inside TWRP wipe data, system, dalvik cache
4. download Havoc 3.5 rom here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...ficial-arm64-aonly-gapps-nosu.img.xz/download (if you want to choose another rom you can, just check is variant ARM64 A-Only) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
5. download PhhMagisk here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZgYuaN-sklg0ycDue08WtKsMFmzWsI6F/view (standard magisk won't work) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
6. inside TWRP go to wipe -> system -> resize file system (do this 2 times as at first try you will get error)
7. reboot
8. rom is now booting and working.
FIXES:
-for better camera quality i suggest you to download this GCam version: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v1.7-fix.apk and then go to Phh Treble Settings -> Qualcomm features and tick Use alternate camera profile (this will make phone recording video at correct quality 1080p/4k)
-to make earpiece audio during call and bluetooth multimedia audio working you must place the 3 files included in htc_audio_bt_fix.rar i attached inside /root/vendor/etc and be sure to set permissions properly (look how permissions are set in original files before replacing, you can use Root Explorer or any other file browser with root support that allow to check and edit permissions) then you must disable from the paired bluetooth device Call Audio
now you have a working android 10 htc u11+ :victory::victory: i am using it as daily rom... you will love android 10!
only bugs i faced at the moment are:
- bluetooth audio not working with calls
- some rare freezes after unlocking phone from lockscreen
I keep getting stuck on ROM loading screen, I try reflashing the havoc os system image, then PhhMagisk, but still no luck!
I had to follow this guide all the way from the start and got the phone to boot, but once I copied the htc_audio_bt_fix.rar files to /vendor/etc/ and edited its permissions and rebooted the phone and stuck at the loading screen all over again :/
Now I have the phone running but no luck with any sound on my bluetooth earphones
I have placed the rar files as stated and the permissions are exactly as the files before had them rw--r--r, for all 3 of them.
Does the quack build support Bluetooth audio calls? I don't want to go back to pie, anyone know a working GSI Android 10 for the U11+ with BT call support?

So I have asked at the relevant threads regarding any word on when a bluetooth fix should be expected, but do you by any chance have any idea about that?
Because I have to decide whether to wait (if the fix maybe right around the corner or smth) or revert back to a stable pie build.

unfortunately bt call audio isn't working atm only multimedia audio works... try playing with bluetooth workaround option inside treeble settings-> misc but i don't know if you will solve it

That's a bummer, I guess I'll revert to pie, i tried flashing Havoc (pie) to my phone for a change, it just wont flash. Error 255. It's been a day of disappointments :crying:

Hey, this is great news for me, but there's one, very important question - is there a way to use Edge Sense with this? I've seen some Magisk module re-activating the analogue feature on modded Pixels, but I haven't seen anything like that for HTC - could that work? I use Edge Sense regularly and losing it would stop me from any modding.
I downloaded the stock PIE rom from the URL provided by you, and decrypt it by RUU Decryption Tool. And now I got some img files inside two folders - firmware and system.
But then how to convert them into zip file so that I can place it inside SD card? Can you tell me in details? Sorry I'm a newbie in flashing roms.

I flashed the boot.img and system.img by fastboot into my phone instead of placing some zip into SD card, and followed the remaining steps including fixes. Now my phone is working!
However my phone can not recognize if I have plugged in the earphone or not, and of course no sound from earphone. Do you guys have any suggestions about it? Maybe I should flashed vendor.img in the first step as well?

Flashing the vendor.img would change nothing, it is the same as it was before. The fix for earphone audio has been in the post for a long time, but there is no fix for using earphones/headphones.
Did you find the earpiece speaker fix?

This is incredible, I've been following phhuson's Treble GSI development for 2 years now hoping that someone would find a fix for the earpiece speaker during calls.
I tried doing everything at once and got a bootloop, but then I tried every step separately and after a few days my U11+ is working great!
How long did it take you to find that GCam port? I've been using Arnova's for ages and could never find a good one for the U11+ before trying the one you've linked.
I'm really glad we got the earpiece fix, the U11+ still has really great hardware and the poorly made Android Pie port and old security patch was tempting me to upgrade to something new. Now I think I can hold onto it for an extra year.
My camera doesn't work...
After enable "Use alternate camera profile" then reboot , it still not working....
Is there any solution?
Please help me , camera is really important to me...

What's your vendor version?
I use Android Pie vendor with Havoc OS 3.7 work fine.
Maybe you should flash Pie RUU first then install the Havoc OS.

Here is the way to use Edge Sense with Havoc OS.
1. Install com.htc.sense.edgesensorservice.apk (Resigned with Havoc OS keystore)
2. Install App Systemizer in Magisk
3. Systemize EdgeSensorService
4. Reboot
Now Edge Sense work fine.
And if you want to setup Edge Sense, open terminal

am start com.htc.sense.edgesensorservice/.ui.SettingsMainActivity
Recommended to use Edge Sense Plus to manage it so you don't need to setup in this dirty(?) way every time.

I flashed 2.15.709.1 Pie Ruu before install the "Phh AOSP Android 10"
(Havoc based on Phh)
TWRP Version : 190501
And it still can't encrypt data

Oh TWRP can't decrypt data is normal.
The thing you can do is to prevent system from encrypting data.

You can find the issue on the Phh's github, it seems never work and no fix for our device.

Does Havoc os running smooth on U11+?
Phh AOSP has some bugs but it's smooth tho.

It runs smooth for me, but for the first week I kept crashing at the lock screen randomly and had to do a reset. Sometimes a normal reset would just bootloop or crash on the lockscreen again. So I had to specifically go into download mode -> bootloader mode -> recovery mode (TWRP) -> "reboot to system" which would let me get past the lockscreen without crashing.
The battery life and thermal performance is MUCH better, it's too early for me to say but I think it's pretty close to Oreo battery life and heat management might be EVEN BETTER.
I still think that HTC Oreo was smoother, but most phones weren't as smooth as the U11+ on Oreo.
The camera performance is definitely worse though, that could just be because we're forced to use the GCam port instead of the stock HTC app but it's inconsistent with lighting and sometimes crushes black levels on people's faces too much. If I find improved settings or a better GCam port then I'll link it here for you guys to use
I'm pretty sure that TWRP not being able to decrypt data is a bug with that specific version of TWRP, but I don't think there's another TWRP image that will work on the U11+ so we have to deal with it.

How do you do step 1? I couldn't find any information about where to find the HavocOS Keystore or what it is? I assume it's an app to resign APKs for HavocOS?

Hello, everyone.
I just flashed Arrow OS 9 KIWI and open gapps arm 64 9 nano 2022215 for my huawei gr5 a week ago, every thing is fine, and I like it simple, also battery life is better than Lineage OS 17.1.
But there is a little issue. After flashed, i switched camera store from internal storage to SD card, i thought it worked, but after later, couple days, i want to look at my photos, Oh, no, nothing in SD or internal storage.
I do not know it is just for my case, or some one had same issue.
So after this problem i switch back to lineage os 17.1.
The wired thing is i successfully flashed lineage os 17.1 and open gapps arm64 nano version on my phone before. But this time i got problem, i can flash 17.1 and boot into system and normally use phone, but when i flash open gaaps, arm64 10 nano 2022215, i can not boot into system any more, i tried different ways of flashing rom and open gapps, still stuck after flashing open gapps. I searched some answers, it looks like the problem is version of open gapps, i switch to arm 64 pico, finally boot into system.
did anyone have problem like me? Hope team of Arrow OS can upgrade android 10 for huawei honor 5X and solve the camera problem.
and also arrow os can not play mp4 video after camera takes video.
