Has anyone worked on getting project treble on the n9005 Snapdragon Galaxy Note 3?
I have seen it be added to the Xiaomi mi 3 (Snapdragon 800), LG G3 (snapdragon 801).
Is there anything in the works with this phone, or is anyone experienced enough to take a look at it?
Running generic android images on the phone would mean much larger ROM choice.

Well, r4p was listed on third batch for global beta earlier, then discarded from the list(second last announcement) then added again. So, can't be too hopeful for it yet.
anybody know its nougat or MM?

The MIUI9 Beta China is MM, so, if Xiaomi release the global, will be MM also.

This is why we cannot have a nice thing, another device with same spec only larger screen get updated to nougat. Another cheap one with less powerful spec get updated to nougat.
My next device will likely xiaomi previous flagship or devices from another OEM that have better kernel, source release so I can see active development. Maybe Moto or Oneplus.

It's true but that is not a reason to abandon several months old devices, every big OEM should have follow 2 major android release support.
Or atleast 1 major android release should be enough.
Think how would you dissapoint if you buy newest android 7.1.2 device only to learn after half year later that your device will not get update to 8.0.
Xiaomi isn't small OEM, they have resources to bring MIUI 9 to work with Mi2 (5 years old flagship). So why cannot they work on newer device?

People still look for r4p, so can't say it isn't sold pretty well. Xiaomi cut off r4p production, who knows why! And now they are ignoring it to give major android upgrade.
I want to install lineage os 15 o (or 14) on my xiaomi redmi note 4 and these roms are only for xiaomi redmi note 4 with snapdragon. Can I do something with it?
Simply No.

None of SD801 yet. There was one tablet at SD6XX, and upon several try, it was not possible to boot to SD800 (note3). But you can try either way. Check tablets that got nougat update. It was the only one "port"able to SD800 (very similar to SD801).
Good luck

i did a research on various devices and i think the best one for s5 is the c9 pro
because there was many roms based on c9 pro with android marshmallow which got ported to s5
and the c9 pro got the nougat update so i was wondering why the devs didn't think about it or is it me who is missing sth important?
however i'm gonna ask you to do me a favour Can you give a guide about how to port the c9 pro stock nougat rom to s5 please
and thank you

Wow... search xda
You started like "I want to port". From "I want to port" to actually porting will take about 2-3 years... if you study hard

Bye
A dev ported Samsung A8s Stock ROM to Redmi Note 5 pro. If that's doable, i think OxygenOS port for pocophone would be a huge contribution. Because, it would be easier as the SOC are same.

Trying to do Unofficial Port Rom.
I really wish.
Me too, I'm really hoping someone does this. It'll be an amazing experience!
Huge thanks to @CodeElixir , we finally have a working OOS port for our Poco F1!

I would like to install a custom rom on Redmi 4 Note on Snapdragon 625 3/32 for the first time. What is worth recommending today, which rom is the most polished, stable, uses the least energy?
Today I unlocked the bootloader.
Could someone guide me how to install it all?
Currently there is something like this Android 7.0 NRD90M
MIUI Global 11.0.2.l
11.0.2.0 (NCFMIXM).
Thank you.
