Hello, I have noticed that, from the last update, number of notifications you can receive is limited to 24.
Is there any way to increase this?
I have read that some people edit "notification.manager".I don't seem to have that application on my application list.
Thank you in advance!
Good question and since you said update then you should post it here:

The question doesn't concern update. Update is just an additional information.

Hi
If any of you are using products made by Jeyo such as Jeyo Mobile Companion you may have used their forum to discuss with other Jeyo users the problems and observations you find using their products. It is the best way to communicate with the developers and other users at the same time and would provide useful feedback for improvements to their products.
However after notable negative discussions in the forum about bugs not being acknowledged by the developers and an empty promise made by the developers of a new version within "40 days" of a January post date, the only recent post is this announcement:
Based on your feedback, we're adopting a new format for our support forums. The #1 suggestion we've received is to keep the forums easier to read by reducing the number of postings that aren't particularly relevant to most users. We've evaluated several possible options and decided to close these forums for external posting and instead use them as a way for us to record common support questions and answers -- just think of them as a set of real-time up-to-date FAQs.
You can always reach us with a question at [email protected]. Should you have a topic that you want to see posted, simply email us about that.
Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be converting the existing forums to this new format. Thank you for your patience during the transition!

Jeyo have effectively removed the whole point of a forum and made it just one huge announcement page. There are so many easier ways to separate official announcements and FAQs from discussions; closing the forum to everyone but themselves seems an unneccessary method with other intentions. One comes to mind is to stop people making public criticisms of their products regardless of whether they would be constructive and beneficial or not.
At least I am grateful that xda-developers is still here! I dont think many of us would be too happy if the moderators of this forum suddenly closed posting to everyone but themselves claiming it was for "user simplicity"!

Hey I just purchased my TILT about a week ago and I went to download ringtones from the AT&T website but it wont play. It says "there is no application associated with (filename)". Any ideas?
Also, I'm trying to get the Iphone home screen on my tilt as well, what do I need to do first?

Yep I sure do.

Greetings, and welcome to XDA-developers
You may notice you might not exactly get the desired answer on this forum. Mainly because you're asking basic questions about the operation of your device that can be answered on a forum more geared for new users. This forum has a format set up more for development questions, bug reports, new development relases, etc.
For basic questions about phone operation, you may try:
* http://forums.cingular.com
* http://cellphoneforums.net/htc/
This forum is first and foremost for development on the Windows Mobile Platform, and to be specific, development on HTC devices. General questions about phones and their basic operation may be better handled on those forums linked above.
You may also ask the question in the "Kaiser" general section, although that format is mainly geared towards development too. I'm not trying to be rude, or trying to scare you off. I'm just showing you where you could go to get better help for the type of question you're asking. I hope you enjoy the site, and await your contributions here. Thanks!
Cyclonezephyrxz7 is starting up a new XDA Marketplace for Android and Windows Mobile devices. Please check out the original thread for more information.
The address for the new marketplace will be http://www.xda-mp.com

UPDATE
Hello Everyone over on the ANDROID Forums,
Although I am not the OP of this thread, I am the main developer behind the new XDA-MarketPlace. I am here with a major update.
I haven't been posting much on this thread because I have been mainly working in the Windows Mobile one. Let me fill you in.
The website is quickly nearly completion. I was unable to hit my original goal of the New Year, but I have been doing my best to complete as fast as possible, while maintaining good code.
Many pages of the site are in fact done already. The pages that have yet to be finished are the User and Profile pages. The submission page is being RE-DONE.
Now, I haven't mentioned much of this over here ... but what I do need for YOU is to contact the developers of your programs and tell them to shoot me a PM with their E-Mails, or just telling me that they are interested in being alerted when the site is about to go up. This way, we can start the site with some applications!
Now, I have been feeling really crumby about not having the website out yet. I want you to know I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON THIS AT ALL. It has been taking me a lot of time. BUT I feel like I don't have any push because I have had at most 2 or 3 developers contact me. This website cannot exist with only 3 developers. I do need the member base to start this, so it can start off with a boom.
I ask for all of your support to make a cross-platform marketplace work for the community! I need it now more than ever
If you have comments, PLEASE POST THEM IN THE WINDOWS MOBILE THREAD [see the first post on this thread for a link] SO EVERYTHING CAN BE CENTRALIZED.
Thank You
There are old threads of the same problem more than 2 years ago... So I decided to start a new one.
like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426261
I don't want to waste time arguing with some of the opinions in the thread above or about the rule, so back to the case, I agree that people like the OP in the thread above or me are rarely seen. So I'd like to ask here if some moderator could help approve me as a member.
I plan to post in dev forum initiating a project that changes the behavior of Android Media Service. Currently Android Media Service always tries to guess the text-encoding in media files, resulting many messed tags in the library. But in fact there are standards defining what text-encoding of tags should be used in what format.
Please see some details at my previous post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57188174&postcount=466
So this is the motivation of initiating the project. And I'm an experienced developer with Android framework/kernel development experience. I want people in xda help with the development because I think most users don't take part in AOSP (Android Issue tracker in googlecode, for example) but take part in xda discussion.
Here is the github link of the project:
https://github.com/yumeyao/android_platform_frameworks_av
and the issue:
https://github.com/yumeyao/android_platform_frameworks_av/issues/2
and the issue I reported to AOSP tracker on googlecode:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=81428
Thanks for reading (so long) and thanks in advance for help
----EDIT----
Never mind I can post now
Good! ?
Thread closed.
Recently the BBC app updated their UI with the stupid Material Design and buried everything in the navigation menu, the new design received very bad reviews from the users. Luckily I restored to the previous version via Titanium Backup, now is it a way to ignore the BBC app in Google Play, like hide it as you can do in Windows Update? I use manual update only.
Thanks.

i don't understand participants on this forum who give 1 star rating to a thread with a single post where a user is asking for some kind of help and answer. I find this a very legit question and would like to know the answer myself.
It is a legitimate question, maybe XDA members are just too dumb to come up with a solution, that's why they vote down my thread because the question is too difficult, they're too busy rooting their phone with new roms every day lol.
XDA members usually know to post questions in the Q&A sections.
And insulting members intelligence because they didn't see your question that's posted in the wrong section is a bit of a stretch? No?
Also.... Insulting members for not having the answers you need will surely make those that do know the answer keep it to themselves.
And so.... Thread closed.
