Question How do I find the right firmware to downgrade a samsung s7 edge to android 6.01? - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I'm new here and was wondering how to find the right firmware to downgrade a samsung s7 edge? The Odin guide says: Download & extract the Custom kernel.tar file which is compatible with your device.
I bought a used phone that has Android 7.0 G935FXXU2DRC6 Multi-CSC code XME.
After digging around I gather that XME means Malaysia is the CSC code?
Also that SWREV number is 2.
I go to https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G935FD/XME/bit/all/av/6.0.1 but I don't see any files with SWREV 2 or greater.
Where do I find a compatible file?
Also when I click on a file in the list of SWREV 1 files (which I know wont work) I get, for example,
SM-G935FD/XME/G935FXXS1BPLO under the XME CSC.
But when I look that code up its region is XXV which is Vietnam. Will a Vietnam region file still work on an XME region phone?
Thanks!

find Same BIT Binary version in Downgrade OS version.
Because samsung BIT and Binary version never downgrade but in same bit binary you can use update or downgrade os.

Samsung Pay / Android Pay no longer available for latest stock firmware (ARO)?

Hello fellas,
I have just flashed latest stock firmware, and couldn't help noticing there was no Samsung Pay or Android Pay app.
When attempting to access both items through Google Play Store, it says my device is not compatible with the version available. How come this is possible? I can't think that the S7 has been outed of Samsung Pay, there has to be something else.
Could it be a problem with the CSC? My region code is ARO (Argentina Unbranded), but after checking the app Phone Info, I have realized that the CSC Installed belongs to TTT (Trinidad y Tobago) and not my region. This always happen when flashing CSC, since it's a multi-CSC, it randomly selects a region. If anyone knows a way of flashing the proper CSC through ODIN, that would be awesome.
Thanks!

Hi
Download the firmware you want, extract BL , CP and AP , now download the firmware for you country /carrier , extract from it the CSC file
not home_csc , and flash the BL , CP, AP from the first firmware with the CSC from your country
BAckup this will factory reset your phone

Thanks for replying.
The firmware I want is the one that comes with the ARO package, the problem is that such package also includes a multi-country CSC. Among those there is this ARO region I'm needing. My device is Unbranded, I won't install a CSC from a carrier.
Also, I don't have root and I'm not planning to have it either.

Hi
Sorry I read your first post again
Samsung Pay will not work again after you root your phone , if knox is set 0x1 there is no chance to make it work
Android pay is possible if knox is set but firmware is official ( no root) and if the flashed firmware (CSC) has that option
Is ARO part of the multi CSC you flashed with TTT?
You need a CSC that has Android pay , do you remember what CSC you had when it worked?

BTU (UK) i think it works , if your carrier at home offers the service you can flash any unbranded firmware (BL, CP andAP) with the CSC from your carrier
That way you can have unbranded firmware plus you carrier CSC
Magisk fakes 0x0 doesn't it?

yes , magisk hides from android SU detection but samsung pay also looks for knox 0 x 1 ....if you are or were rooted SP will not work

Yes it does, but some additional kernel modifications are still required for Knox to work. So stock firmware isn't fooled. Most custom s7 kernels have them though.

Galaxy s7 g930p firmware guide

Hello i am new here i have some questions plz.clear my mind issue is i have galaxy s7 g930p when i dial*#1234# it shows AP, CP G930P AND CSC G930F what is this??? I want to update oreo which firmware should i use i am in pakistan and already use os marshmallow
Boot into download mode (Power + Home + Vol Down) and check what model number it says you have there.
Then download the firmware specifically for that model and nothing else.
Thanks for reply... in download mode its shows g930p and also in settings same model name and also back on phone side same but in recovery mode shows g930v
Here is some detail...
In the Downloads mode SM-G930P is displayed,
in the Phone Info also SM-G930P,
in the manufacturer "Samsung / Verizon",
product code "Not Active",
Original CSC code is empty,
CSC firmware code VZW,
active VZW firmware code,
available CSC codes are empty,
SCS country USA / HK,
Bootloader version G930PVPU4APL6,
PDA version G930PXXU1BPIA,
version CSC G930FXXU1BPIA,
radio module version G930PVPU4APL6.
Which model firmware should i download
Download mode is the only value that can't be changed by modifying the firmware, so it's your true model.
The G930P is the US Sprint S7 model running Snapdragon, so you can use any Snapdragon firmware with Odin (G930U/V/T/P) but don't attempt to flash anything Exynos as it will brick your phone (G930F/FD/W8/K)
G930U is the carrier unlocked generic firmware, so the best one to use if you don't want bloat etc.
Thank u so much can i now install latest update of g930u? in odin fill all boxes with g930u files also csc g930fxxu1bpia with g930u file?
Thank you so much sm-g930u firmware with oreo now working in my sm-g930p no any issue here thanks

Used Galaxy8+ wont update, old owner probrably changed firmware

hi everyone,
i recently bought a used Galaxy S8+ here in japan, with the model number being SM-G955FD and android version 7.0.
i tried updating it manually and using the smart switch app but nothing happens and the app says its up to date.
i tried doing a factory reset on the phone but instead of the normal recovery menu i got a odin menu.
I think the old owner changed the firmware and now im stuck.
im quite new to android so i dont know much about what to do.
any help is appreciated.
Edit:
my firmware is G955FXXU1AQH3, and CSC code is XXV-vietnam.
i tried using odin to install a official firmware but it fails at boot.bin and on the phone it says secure check fail bootloader.
i really dont know what to do.
Im going to dump some info from my phone:
System Info:
Android 7.0
Samsung Experience Version 8.1
Baseband Version G955FDXXU1AQH3
CSC XXV/XXV/SKC
Phone INFO Samsung:
Bootloader Version G955NKSU3CRI3
PDA Version G855FDXXU1AQH3
CSC version G955FOXM1AQH3
Baseband Version G955NKOU3CRI1
Original CSC code XXV
Active CSC code XXV
Avaiable CSC codes INS, ITV, THL, TUR, XEO, XFE, XME, XSG, XSP, XTC, XXV
Its not rooted.
Edit: Forgot to mention but on the back of my phone it says SM-G955N, download mode is in korean and on the Recovery menu it says G950NKSU1AQG7.
