There is a small bug on screenshot..
Volume down button + power key for partial screenshot..
Three finger swipe for full screen shot..
If i enable both options it only take partial screenshot..
If i turn of "partial screenshot mode"
again it takes partial screenshot..
After disabling both, and re enable.. First time it will work fine.. 2 or 3rd time, it will do the opposite..
Pls fix the Gapps Issue..
cant flash the nikgapps stock - bootloop

Couldn't find an option to switch the color to amoled black ( settings and menu etc)

Nik Core.. Don't use other versions.. You'll end up in bootloop..
Make sure you flash the magisk after the first boot..

kernel problem, never use V4A with Perf kernel, change to another kernel and wifi + sound will work normally
tv cast bugged. When i try to cast my phone on tv, it always reboot.
Bug report - display flashes once after waking up. Hopefully it isn't something that's hard to fix.

Everything works fine, but the performance is almost the same thing like original version of Dio_S

Fixed it. I downloaded V26 and trying to see how its going.
Bugs I found:
1. Auto brightness is not working. Screen flickering on brightness value changed.
2. Sometimes LED on the notch for notification is always on after reboot.
It seems to be phhusson's GSI build without modifications...
If this is the case I think a link to his thread may have been the right choice.
Anyway is good to see custom ROMs for this new device.

It does not work .... When I select to install image (recovery twrp) I see several options (boot, system image, recovery, vendor, etc). I select system image and apparently it is installed but when selecting restart it tells me that there is no OS installed.

I said you need to flash magisk.zip. Use MIUI 10.0.4.0 vendor and the TWRP recovery with black theme(Not the blue theme one).

Google "GSI LIST", there is list of roms you can flash but all of them have auto-brightness issue and the notch. Some of them even have more issues.
I am currently using Resurrection REMIX v21 Android Oreo which I find the least bugs and download from the following link. I fixed the notch problem using xposed module. So the only one issue is the auto brightness which I dont mind.

No I'm just trying to use local backups, which is something I've always done.
I'm just not getting the prompt for restoring Whatsapp Backup. It tries to get it via google drive (there's nothing there), then it just keeps on searching.
Check your backups are on proper path. It should be in /Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Databases

I've tried both. Up until 7.8, it could restore directly from /WhatsApp.
This time I tried copying the Database folder into /Android/media/com.whatsapp/Whatsapp/Database as you suggested but still no luck
Maybe there was an issue with having two copies of Database? I'll try deleting one and see what happens. Its just that file transfer even with adb push and pull is so slow in Android 11. It takes about 2.5x as long as it did in Android 10 and makes testing of any sort really cumbersome.

That did it!
To clarify, thank you for pointing out for the exact location, I was being lazy and typing out the gist of the address.
But what fixed it was adb pushing my backup directly to the Android > media directly, instead of the /sdcard/ as I had previously done.

Miui 12.5.7 EU Magisk 24.1 flash and wipe cache & reboot, After starting the phone got the black screen on. reflash NGK kernel and it worked again. OBS : not select amoled coloers and thermals in instalation.
I followed all the instructions, original flash boot img, reboot recovery and flash magisk & kernel
same problem.

Yup, I had tried before you even had answered.
Alas, no luck : upon reboot my device (vayu Global) just displays a black screen and goes no further.. And before anyone asks : yes I had done a Dalvik and cache wipe (before and after install.)
Sucks. I so wanted an alternative to the stock krnl (or NGK, which turns my device into a portable grill sometimes and even though it's idle... ) without going AOSP, and for this purpose Xiaomi.EU really is a perfect solution.
But there's still a glimmer of hope : I haven't tried the clean flash route yet, I'll have to make a note to try this next time I mess up my /data/media partition.
