Since the recent migration of people away from WhatsApp, people are looking for a way to abandon WhatsApp completely.
Still, many people can't move to Telegram for good and delete WhatsApp from their phone since some of their contacts are still on WhatsApp only.
Adding Telegram's logo to your profile picture on WhatsApp would help migrate people to Telegram because:
When people with Telegram installed on their device will try to reach you on WhatsApp, they will see your profile picture and it would be clearer that you prefer to be reached on Telegram, so it would increase the probability that they'll reach you on Telegram instead.
When people who don't have Telegram installed on their device will try to reach you on WhatsApp, they'll probably still message you on WhatsApp, but when they'll see that a lot of their contacts prefer to be reached on Telegram, this may encourage them to install Telegram.

- contact names comes with a black border in the white theme (the theme is chosen automatically by the colors of the background)
Its been a while since I last posted on XDA. After 2013, I have been busy with high school and other things.
I'm in the process of building an chat app in Android with the back end for the database system being Google Firebase.
My goal is to use only Firebase to manage the user data. At first, making a chatting app with Firebase seemed easy, but once I wanted to implement more features, it got me stuck. This is my first time working with a NoSQL DBMS and eventually after many code fixes and restructures, I managed to get the data structure sorted as well as get more features implemented incrementally.

Background:
Been looking for a way to quickly sync my WhatsApp contact photo with phone contact without root or accessibly usage.
The App:
WAW Photo Sync - This app uses WhatsApp Web to access your WhatsApp contacts and grab their photo. Then it syncs it with your phone contact. No root or Accessibly required.
Requirements:
Internet permission
Contacts permission
Linking the app's WhatsApp Web instance with your WhatsApp using the QR code.
How do I Link it with WhatsApp?
Same way as you link your desktop WhatsApp Web with your WhatsApp:
Open WhatsApp on your phone
Tap Menu (Three dots) and select WhatsApp Web
Click on "LINK A DEVICE" (Unlock your device if required)
Scan the QR code from WAW Photo Sync
If WAW Photo Sync and WhatsApp are on the same device you should either:
Use another device to take a picture of the QR
Take a screenshot of the QR and send it to another device
Then use previous steps.
