Question JustTrustMe - SSL error using Charles Proxy - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I rooted my Samsung J3 2016 phone using an (unofficial) TWRP build and Magisk. I changed the ROM (resurrection remix), and installed Xposed. Then, I installed the JustTrustMe module. I started Charles on my computer (port 8888) and I connected my phone to it. I installed the Charles certificate at chls.pro and moved it to the system ones. After, I enabled SSL proxying for all the domains on Charles. And when I open a browser, the Google suggestions are showing up (when I type something, I see a lot of suggestions and the requests are successful in Charles). But when I click a suggestion, I get the following error:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And the request is displayed like that on Charles:
Here is also a screenshot of suggestions (as you can see it works)
Does someone know what could the problem be? Thank you

I found something weird. My computer is connected to a wifi network (BOX-2). It has the local IP address 192.168.1.39. But when I go on Charles > Help > SSL Proxying > Install Charles Root Certificate on a Mobile Device, it shows the IP address 192.168.1.64....

Fixed - I used https://github.com/pengwei1024/JustTrustMe/releases/tag/V0.4 instead of https://github.com/Fuzion24/JustTrustMe/releases/tag/v.2... and it worked

[Q] AdFree Security Certificate @ Gmail Login

I recieved this Security Certificate for the AdFree company BigTinCan PTY, Ltd. while connecting to my Gmail account from my android tablet.
From a security standpoint this looks like a man-in-the-middle attack with a server hijacking the https session and putting its self between the end user and the gmail account in order to view a decrypted https stream.
My Setup:
Viewsonic Gtablet - GtabComb v2.0 bl1.1
OG-Droid - CyanogenMod 6.1.2
The Gtab was tethered to the OG-Droid using Barnacle when I recieved the certificate warning.
The tablet ROM and the phone ROM have "built-in" add blocking according to their devs.
***QUESTION***
Is there a reason BigTinCan PTY, Ltd. would be running a proxy between a user and https websites? (makes no sense to me!)
or
Is this something that may have been cooked into an 'evil' ROM that is snooping users's emails and information, either on my phone or on my tab? (this is the only thing that seems reasonable to me - as I have some security background)
or
Am I just trippin?
Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you.

I would suggest asking about it on the forum thread for your ROM.
Error 500, assuming that's coming from either the Facebook or Windows Live servers, just means "internal server error" and is about as generic an error message as a webserver can give. Really the only thing it tells you is that either your request was so incorrectly formed that the server experienced an internal exception (or similar) while trying to process it, *or* the server is down for some unrelated reason.
In the second case, it should be back within hours, at worst. In the first case, I'd expect other people with your ROM to have the same problem. I haven't heard of any other cases of that problem, so check around.
Thank you for your answer. The key was the connection of live id and facebook account. I had to do this on my live settings and now it working.

Tor and Orweb working Anyone?

Has anyone been able to get Tor working with the official Orweb browser for Tor on Android? First time using Tor on a phone here and can't get it to work.
Is root mandatory for this to work? Is there special settings I need to set? Guess I've been spoiled with the desktop version of Tor bundle working out of the box on my home computer. Don't know much about proxy settings and what not.
Just tried Firefox (my preferred browser anyways) and downloaded the Tor plugin. I enabled Tor for android and says connected, I then use Firefox private browsing mode and check Tor and shows working. Is this all correct? I didn't alter any settings manually, straight out of the box default settings here.
Shows an error though about referrers? Appreciate any help with this, thank you.

Believe I fixed it maybe? Googled disable Firefox referer and found how to and now get this on Tor check. Is Tor fully working now then?

Cannot login to Starbucks account

For the last month I have been unable to log into my Starbucks account with the app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.starbucks.mobilecard
I get several different displays when I try. Sometimes an ssl error, other times non-functional
accept input and show password buttons. Screenshots:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have tried a full factory reset, clearing cache from recovery, running earlier versions, changing
default browser (which seems to be involved with the strange login the app uses), clearing
and disabling stored passwords.
I am using a stock Idol 3, 5.5 in., 6045I. Not rooted, latest updates. No problems with other apps.
I was able to login with this phone with Android 6.0.1. Whatever caused the problem did not start
with the update.
I have no problem logging in with other phones, included two running Android 6 and one
running Android 4.
Any suggestions? Is anyone using the Starbucks app with a 6045I?
Send log to app developers, pls. U can post there too.

Pantech Vega A880s (LTE-A) Lineage OS 14.1 WiFi MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00 and not working

Hi all, I recently ROM flashed my very old phone Pantech Vega A880s with Lineage OS 14.1, Android Ver. 7.1.1. (I know this is a less well known and old phone)
After that, my WiFi MAC shows 02:00:00:00:00:00 and it cannot be turned on. I have tried to assign country code and reset network settings. I also tried the solutions from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...0-00-wifi-and-hotspot-not-turning-on.3454211/ but the problem continues.
I have no idea why this happens but I am sure that hardware-wise it is fine because the WiFi is working when it is in stock ROM.
Any solutions and suggestions are highly appreciated!!
Thanks all in advance.
May be your device is set to use randomized MAC address: if so, disable it:

Hi, thanks for your help. Where can I find this setting? I can't see it anyway in my settings. But in my another newer phone, I can find it under a connected WiFi. However, in the case of my phone now, I can't even switch on the WiFi .
