Fwiw, I dirty flashed this build and my sim card was not detected. I vaguely remember this was an issue early on which was why I stuck with squid2's ROM for so long. So I dirty flashed his ROM back and all is working again. Sad that this won't work for me though.

Hmm my sperry is simlocked so I could not test that, thanks for letting me know. Could you do a clean flash to make sure, you can make a backup via twrp beforehand.

Mine was a boost mobile e4 (no fingerprint sensor) that I never activated or updated before flashing LOS.
Yeah I thought of that, I've occasionally had bad luck with twrp restores not taking. But I'll muster up the courage to give it a try and let you know.

This ROM won't detect the sim card in my USA Qualcomm model perry XT1766 for Boost Mobile. I've had to revert to lineage-14.1-20180102_024115-UNOFFICIAL-perry.zip.
This may have something to do with the fact that the phone was originally for the Sprint network but I'm using it with a GSM card (Cricket Wireless is AT&T). I don't know why this ROM isn't working but the old one is.
New build uploaded, would someone with a Sprint/Boost Moto E4 let me know if sim is working now.
Oh, thrilled to see this--I have an XT1768 on stock, and have been yearning to move it over to LOS.

Sim isnt detected on sprint xt1766.
Does anyone have a build with sim working on xt1766 or an explanation of things governing this?

I've added patches for supporting all variants it should theoretically work since my previous build got close to a working stage on someone's xt1031 I will definitely do my level best to make unified builds

Nope, In the sim tab, both sims are disabled. So I can't even click on them to search for network.

Finally got SIM working Single SIM only (thanks @moha07 for testing)
CDMA compatible (Thanks @mightysween )
I don't think Paranoid Android needs much of an explanation.
For now there are not many features.

No sorry, its an alpha so theres not too many features. right now the only differences from aosp is app ops

We can round up plenty of CDMA testers.
Pretty sure data will not work due to SIM dependency (subId being set to -1)... it will say "NO SIM" and not allow data despite pulling PRL, MIN/MDN and registering on the network.
It was fixed to work with CM12 (now various builds) and also the Boost soak test... so it can be done!
I will download and test/logcat this build just so you can take a look and decide if it is something you have time to tackle. Thanks!
UPDATE: well, scratch that... 3G works just fine (xt1031 on PagePlus).

Will check out the device tree and see what is making this tick.
Meanwhile, this is hands down a totally different experience than CM12 on this device. Drastic and noticeable difference, in a good way.
UPDATE2: dev tree includes @ meticulus and @CodyF86 CDMA fixes from cyanogenmod... They obviously work out of the box in AOSP. Nice.

The carrier and status shows "Roaming Indicator Off" but this is pretty normal for Moto G cdma ROMs since CM10. Some people cant handle it though... So, you may want to include that caveat in the OP to avoid the inevitable dozen questions about it

The code that ended up fixing data was straight from the 5.1 aosp code merge, so that's why data is already working or should be.
Add some ERI overlays to get rid of the roaming indicator off...you can check my github, to automagically set carriers you have to get a little crazier, but all the info is there.

Ahhh, AOSP... good old basic AOSP. How I have missed you.
For me, there is no comparison to CM12. Everything works better from memory management to push notifications to wifi/3g handoffs. As a result, battery is significantly better.

How to install
S-off or Unlocked.
Update to the latest Lollipop firmware (Not required but highly recommended).
PhilZ Touch Recovery is recommended. You may also try latest TWRP.
Wipe Data/Cache.

Thanks, cant believe I didn't find it. Should've gone to Specsavers!
Just flashed the 5.8.28 file with full wipe. Sim card is not working. Reinserting the sim card and resetting the phone does nothing. Latest firmware for lollipop installed and flashed through TWRP.
What's the difference between this one and the one on the official website of miui ?

2. install steps
unlock bootloader
flash twrp, 3.3.1-0 version (Thanks skittlesvampir)
flash lineageos 16.0 ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/development/unofficial-t3957901 )
flash sailfish and reboot to system, if error7 when flashing, try again
Note, skip login to jolla store when first bootup, otherwise it will show "Problem with network", this is a know bug, a reboot can resolve.
if keep bootloop, fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img under fastboot mode

Currently there is no fingerprint support on community port devices.
great work! Can android apps be run, or are you still working on it? I really want to try this, but I need a few apps as this is my primary device.
This is a really great start, everything I tried worked well, seemed fast and stable too! Although without the AlienDalvik layer this is a bit of a non-starter, are there plans to implement that so android apps can be run?
I am more than happy to test anything thats needed for this, I'll keep a clean install as a backup that can be reverted to easily for this purpose.
ROM works great for what it can do! Will follow development, and try to help wherever I can.

Frontal camera works, but not open. You can see it if you light up in cutout.
I do not believe my eyes))) I am very happy with SFOS on mi9t)) I used to use Sony xa2 on SFOS and really did not want to part with SFOS)) I did not even think that someone would do SFOS on this phone)) I will be very I'm glad if you continue to update SFOS on mi9t!))) I will support you!))

Fixed with latest build. And changed to lineageos 16.0 as base rom.

This is built specifically for hotdogg, HD1925. Not sure if it would work on global 7T pro

This phone is made for tmobile. Network settings should work perfect out of the box. 5G should be present. It may show no bars, but it works. Thats a limitation of android at this point.

Yes actually all I did was switch from the gapps one to the no gapps one and that's when it happened

i did at first but obviously ran into an issue when trying to flash gapps so i wiped and flashed both. i just tried to flash the .39 modem to both modem a and b, in fastbootd. flashed successfully and still nothing. even tried the reset in system settings. would -w wipe in fastbootd wipe out the modem for whatever reason? even still though flashing it again should solve the issue, or is there something else i'm missing?
edit: i did that whole process of switching between the 2 to try and fix all the apps freezing, just so it's known for anyone else having issues, that has solved the problem thus far. just the issue with not being able to use the phone on t mobile network. it says its in service just disconnected. under the phone settings page it even show ims status as registered and volte available as well as video calling and ut interface but it fails the ping
