Something messed up my phone while trying to upgrade to the latest magisk.
I tried to boot a twrp image, but now it's stuck on the logo.
Is there a way to turn off the screen ? I think there's no boot image installed.
Waiting till battery is empty and boot again in fastboot is the only option now?
Should be able to force a shut down by holding down the power button.
Doesn't work. Guess I'll have to wait till battery is empty.

Hey guys, I'm having an issue with my OPO running CM13. I can't seem to boot into my recovery whatsoever.
When the device boots, the OnePlus logo pops up, as well as the android logo at the bottom. When I boot normally, this then switches to the CM boot logo. If I try to boot into my recovery, the android logo then disappears and it's stuck on the OnePlus logo, and just stays there ad infinitum. I have to soft reset it to get it to boot (hold down the power button until it reboots normally). The same thing happens when I try to update CM13. System reboots, and as it's attempting to enter recovery, the initial two logos (the OnePlus logo and the Android logo) pop up, but then the android logo disappears and it's stuck forever with the OnePlus logo until I soft reset.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you tried, holding the vol-down button, while you boot?
I should show the 1+ Icon for about 10sek then boot into your recovery. if this doesn't work, try booting with vol+up and then re-flash recovery through fastboot.
Sounds like youve lost your recovery.
As your running CM13 id recommend reflashing through fastboot using the twrp materialized. Remember to make sure you boot to recovery straight from fastboot and before letting CM boot otherwise it will get wiped again
I have a oneplus one with faulty voulume buttons, I tired flashing my phone today and it got stuck on the boot logo so I enterted into recovery mode and chose to reset the phone. The problem is now that it has been reset and is still stuck on the boot logo and adb does not reconsige it either. Anything I can do?
have you tried taking the back off and checking the buttons? they may not be aligned right. and if you cant get into recovery or fastboot mode via key combo, not much you can do
Hi guys,
my Mate 9 is stuck at the black screen after the Huawei logo screen with the "Your device is booting now..." text. I can't get into recovery mode or fastboot mode. Is there any way to get out of this situation?
Here is what has happened:
I wanted to root my Mate 9 so I first unlocked the bootloader and flashed the TWRP recovery.
But after flashing the recovery I couldn't get into the recovery. When I pressed the button combination the phone was always stuck at the screen with the "Your device is booting now..." text. But when I booted the phone normally without pressing any button it would boot just fine past the screen.
So I thought I should try to relock and unlock the bootloader and install the recovery again.
When relocking and rebooting the phone it went to the Huawei Updater mode or eRecovery mode, I don't know which one. It wanted to reinstall the firmware or something. But that failed so I thought maybe I should flash the stock recovery so that it can install the stock firmware.
Then I unlocked the bootloader again and the phone reboots automatically and wants to factory reset the system but it gets stuck at the black screen with the "booting now" text.
Now I can't do anything. It doesn't boot normally, can't get into fastboot or recovery mode. Can't do anything, basically.
Is there a way to save it or am I game over now?

Booting to recovery (TWRP) using power + volume up with USB plugged in goes to eRecovery.
Power + volume down is fastboot, regardless if you have USB plugged in.
This mode should always work.
Power + volume up and down goes to the auto update screen.

Wow, I just wanted to say that no combination works but somehow it went into bootloader mode.
I tried the power + vol down or vol down + plug in usb but that didn't work. Now I pressed vol down + power and plugged in and plugged out the usb cable repeatedly. Maybe it worked because the battery was empty, i don't know.
I had a root Huawei and have now managed to have gotten it exchanged and will not be rooting this device for a while. While I miss out on rooted apps the speed and performance of this device for me outweighs having root access.
I was installing the fulmics 3.5 rom with magisk option. The magisk was not working correctly so I attempted to update, but received an error that the image was already modified. So I reinstalled fulmics this time with just super user.
Once in rom, I went to su and clicked the uninstall option and rebooted and was going to flash the magisk zip. However, I am stuck at LG logo when booting up.
My phone launches the LG boot logo, switches to the "cannot check for corruption please lock bootloader" screen and back to the booting animation with the LG logo. I can tell it's the booting animation because the brightness goes down.
I cannot get the phone to go into download or recovery mode. I press volume down and power and upon LG logo I release power and press again. Same with volume up.
Adb or fastboot does not recognize device and USB drivers are installed. I'm assuming this is because it isn't in fastboot or debug mode?
Am I bricked or can I get out of this?
EDIT 3: I used this guide to restore functionality. https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg...-mode-lgup-t3565508/post71239406#post71239406
I'm able to see my phone with LG UP while it is trying too boot. I can't proceed though because it says the model is unknown.
EDIT: Yes, USB drivers are installed.
EDIT 2: I can get into Fastboot now by plugging in cable and holding vol -, but fastboot reboot recovery is not working.
I was on Elite ROM v7 and I wanted to go back to stock with the official Honor 6X Rollback Package but failed. Now the phone stuck at boot screen. I can't boot into fastboot, no twrp, no stock recovery. 3 button dload method wont work any more. If I hold the power button long enough, the phone will reboot with two vibrations and go right back to "this device is booting" screen. I waited till the battery is depleted and tried every possible combination again, including volume down+plug in usb cable connecting to a pc, still boots into the same screen.
Here's what I have done that caused the brick.
1) while in Elite Rom v7, I power off the phone.
2) dload official intermediate package.
3) dload official 6.0. (it succeeded followed by restart and user reset.
4) the phone then stuck at the blue Honor screen.
5) I force the phone to reboot by holding the power button, the phone entered stock eRecovery. I did a factory reset. The phone still stuck upon reboot.
6) I reboot the phone to fastboot mode and unlock the bootload, after this step, the phone stuck at "this device is booting" screen and wont boot into anything else.
When looking back, I guess between 1 and 2, I should have booted into twrp and format data, which is ecryted.Since I missed this step, it caused the system hung at step 4.
I have a similar problem i thinck it has to do with the warning message i waited until battery was empty and then i got a little different screen wich allows you to enter recovery or boot the device if you get this screen booting will work.
In my case i get the broken screen only if i reboot if i shutdown i get the wirking screen. But my problem is a bir more tricky because the recovery dosent work properly it gives my the option o download stock rom and recovery but it allways failes wehn fetching package info...
The other option i get in the recovery is to shutdown or reboot nothing else
And i can't use fastboot because of the reboot problem...
Using the hardware keys dosent work too...

What reboot problem? Is the usb cable in when your attempting to boot fastboot?

Got the solution
After the battery was empty it booted into a little different screen wich i was able to boot from, then i downloaded the firmware and put it into dload folder on external sd. Next i force updated by holding [volume up] [Volume down] and [Power button]. Now i have a working recovery boot and Rom. Everything is stock and the bootloader is locked again.
I discovered this this morbign and didnt had time to answer earlyer sorry for that...
Someone asked because of the bootloader the only thing i got was this broken screen didnt react to my input, cable plugged in plugged out. Maby the warning screen comes before everything or there is not enough time for the timout or whatever... The important thing is that you can fix it that way!:victory:
