Motorola Edge S dedicated forum? - General Questions and Answers

So I'm willing to bet that this is answered somewhere, but I couldn't seem to find it. "Why doesn't [phone] have a dedicated forum?" But since I couldn't find it, I'm gonna just ask: will the Motorola Edge S get it own dedicated forum? I just ordered one, and it's amazing on paper. I hope I'll love it.

Where did you order from?

it's a fairly new phone usually it take 2~5 months after a phone being release or depending on the phone popularity to have its own dedicated xda page

It started shipping about a month ago, and there isn't even an XDA forum available for it. The closest thing I found was "LG revolution"
I assume either nobody uses it, or it is so easy to hack and customize that nobody bothered to create a subforum for it?
Looks like it will be getting a price cut soon - I wonder if that means no one was buying them?

I hope it gets its own xda forum section, but they do have their own forums: http://forum.geeksphone.com/

[Q] What's the natural "next phone"?

I saw the new Galaxy Nexus on the Google Store; how does this compare to the Skyrocket? I've just been thinking what phone I will want to upgrade to next. Should I wait for the Galaxy S3? I'm bad at keeping up with phones and was just wondering what the natural next upgrade from a Skyrocket will be. I've found I don't particularly like the large size of the phone, it's low resolution, and especially the Samsung bloatware (I'm using a Custom ROM so I don't have to worry about it anymore but I still don't like it being on there to begin with).
Perhaps you could join this conversation in one of the 2-3 already existing threads, instead of everyone making new ones every 10 minutes.

You could have posted a link.
Or given me your opinion.
Or you could just stop being a smug prick. I was clear I didn't know what I was doing or even what to look for in regards to this discussion.

Don't mine x, he's usually very helpful. He gets grumpy in his cage though when he isn't fed.
As a new user the best advice I can give u is to search before posting anything new in a thread, whether it be for discussions purposes, or posing a question. Searching first is rule 1 of xda, which u agreed to when u signed up

Can we please all take a chill pill? This makes me want to just leave. XDA is turning into Reddit nowadays.

I know to search, I read the rules. I didn't know what to search for because my question is a bit more tailored. It's not just Galaxy Nexus vs. Skyrocket. But anyways... yeah...

To be fair, your question isn't really tailored, that thread covers it. Also, that link that x posted goes to a thread that was active on the first page... just sayin

WTB New Device: Support

Hi.
I am looking into purchasing a new phone for myself. My budget is $400USD.
I've looked on Amazon, and I can get some very nice phones, but I would like to see what the community thinks I should get. I would like to get a phone that has excellent dev support, and is future-proof for atleast 1-2 years.
Thank you!

Best Free/Cheap Android Smartphone on VZW right now?

(sorry if this doesn't belong here... wasn't sure where to put it)
The inlaws are looking to get their first smartphone (they're currently still using flip phones!).
They want something they can get pics of and vid chat with the grandkids.
Despite my advice that they get the best phone they can afford now since they likely wouldn't be upgrading for quite some time, they insist on getting the cheapest possible option that will do what they want.
That said, while I'm on VZW myself, I don't really keep up at all with the lower end phones... I have no idea what phone(s) in this spectrum would be the best for them.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to the best free/super cheap VZW phone for them? I want them to stick with Android (rather than apple) since that's what I know and can therefore best help them if/when issues arise.
Thanks!!

What am I missing?

So, lately I've been trying to find a use for this Verizon tablet. I currently just use it as a reader but I'd really like to just mess around with it a bit and learn how to Linux on tablet.
I can't seem to find any information on this particular device. I've tried a number of different ways and I always end up hitting a wall in the process. ...anyone got any info on how to root this Galaxy Tab E "sm-t378v".
Hint: Replace this thread's abolute meaningless title by "How to root SM-T378V" thus owners of such a tablet mainly get addressed.
...is that how helpful you need to be to become a senior member? If so I doubt I'll find what I need here.

You wouldn't get anything if you're here just for "What am I missing". If you know how to make a thread, you should know what you should write the title too right? He wasn't wrong.
As per check, there is no availability rooting that model, yet.
Great, thanks for the info. ...and now for my final question? Where is the delete account button on this website? I no longer want to be a member with such elitist people, it's pretty gross.

Well, you can find out yourself. Google is there to help you. Sadly, anyways. Good luck
