Can you provide the rom I can give it a try my y triggers finger print and camera is not calibrating with third party apps

i found the new update 12.0.332
here is the link : https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/lenovo/l79031/official/

use lenovo smart assistance application to flash 12.0.332

i have found the issue why our sensors are not working because we have corrupted our persist partition now we have to find any working persist partition and install it again into out phones
here is the reference article : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/info-android-device-partitions-and-filesystems.3586565/

then how would it be to restore it, we need an original persist from another lenovo legion or taking it from a rom

I think it works if friends do a Back-Up with twpr help from another Legion device and then install our device.

Method is simple just boot your phone into EDL mode then in qfil tool go to tools select partition management and it will show you all the partitions select persist partition click on management erase the partition and write new one

PERSIST - contains data which shouldn't be changed after the device is shipped, e.g. DRM related files, sensor reg file (sns.reg) and calibration data of chips; wifi, bluetooth, camera etc.
Some package installers such as OpenGapps also make use of this partition to read configuration file.

I am not sure but I have tried persist file of every rom available on internet but nothing is working according to the article I have mentioned above persist drive contains information of sensors and camera calibration etc. Not sure about fingerprint but I think so fingerprint is also a kind of sensor

If someone make a backup of there working phone persist drive then may be we will be able to restore the functioning of sensors and fingerprint this is just a theory based on the article I have mentioned

I got it from another rom but it didn't work I think if we need a copy of the persiste.img of someone who makes a copy with twrp

Just need a copy it doesn't matter which tool he/she used to extract it

A question about android partitioning

Hello and sorry for bad english,
I just wanted to ask : is android does partitioning in any similar way to linux? Because they have similar kernels, can I dump emmc contents to something like a virtual hard drive then view partitions and edit them normally?
Because my family has several cheap chinese phones (mostly mtk) and they share in common this annoying system storage issue where apps could only be stored on 2gb (separated from the other 6gb of media storage(sdcard1))where there is only 0.5 gb free for you to install your applications. Custom rom flashing doesnt work, while app2sd works after some trouble, it still not stable and often problematic for the average users these phones belong to, flashing custom layouts brick phone no matter what i tried, while i tried to stay away from rooting i tried it and exposed plugins (or something) dosent even work, i gave up on this already but i would really prefer to expand my knowledge in android.
If phone's Android is rooted you always can dump contents of Android partitions.

I am away from home for some time so i cant try it, but my suggested method generates img files for everything
Also, can i in any way resize the partitions on the phone(maybe go your way then edit partitions on the pc then flash them back OR modify the sp flash tool scatter file(very unlikely to work, file size and partition size are different))or merge the internal and media partitions, or modify the rom so it stores apps in the media storage then flash it back. Any help would be appreciated.

A buggy twrp for A60, but not sure for M40.

I have made and got a buggy twrp for A6060, which is the Chinese version of M40, based on android-11. It can startup but lacking mtp and usb. It can't decrypt the /data too so you should do some preparations before can use it. I am not sure whether it can be used on M40.
Usage in shorts:
① Magisk and root. You can find the guide in this forum so I will pass it.
② Using a file manager to access /system/vender/etc/fstab.qcom, in the part of /userdata delete the field of "fileencryption=ice" (usually sth. like this, not includes the quotation marks), same and quit.
③ Enter recovery and wipe data. Then use odin flash this recovery: Just zip it to .tar file then flash in the AP slot.
④ When startup, press VOLUMN UP & POWER. If everything goes well, you will see the logo of twrp and enter it and can successfully access the files in /data. Then you can copy some gsi and have a try.

Hope it will be helpful and I really hope somebody can make it a ture and full device tree. That will definetely benefit both A60 and M40 users.
The twrp for A60: https://github.com/Jason-summer/Action-Recovery-builder

It works for me. But you should decrypt your phone first before you try to flash sth. or you may found /data a pile of random code.

If it's not difficult, can you please write instructions? I think this will help many who want to flash

How To Guide Installing a custom recovery, and disabling encryption in the system.

Hello everyone.
If you want to have a recovery with the ability to backup/restore, this instruction is for you.
Here are recovery, while they do not know how to encryption of data section (I hope we will have such ones sometime).Yes, recovery already patched by magisk 25.2
Download the patch, copy it to the SD card (if you have it) or to a USB flash drive, for firmware by otg.
We set the recovery in fastboot mode with the command:
fastboot flash boot (recovery name).img
We load into the recovery, flash the patch, and make FORMAT DATA.
Attention!!!This will delete all your settings and installed programs, including deleting everything from the internal memory.
After that, we boot into the system, configure and "rejoice", now the recovery will see data and, accordingly, internal memory.
And yes, if you have a security thing, this procedure disables the encryption of your data
COMPLETELY, THAT IS, COMPLETELY.
Oh, I forgot, although I think it's clear by the name of the recovery, they (recovery) are designed for firmware on Android 12.
Download files:
RECOVERY
Guys, one jamb got out here, my system has been transferred to RW, and I checked the script on such a system. As it turned out, the script does not work on the stock system. So, in order for it to work normally, you need to first transfer the system to RW

Probably you can, but why. A backup of the datа section is enough for normal recovery. Of course, you can also make a backup of the super section if you changed something in it.

This is clearly not because of the patch, I have put it on for a long time, and there are no problems. Yes, and he only disables encryption in the system, how can he influence this.

Huawei Partition Kit - Enlarge system partition

Huawei Partition Kit
This kit allows you to enlarge/reduce (2Go->5Go) the system partition on a Huawei kirin 65x, 960 or 970 phone. You can do it from a Huawei android 9 rom, a Lineage 18.1, 19.1, 20, or an AOSP 11,12 or 13. The kit reinstalls all the partitions, so if you are for example under the huawei stock rom, you come back under the huawei stock rom but with more space for the system. It has been tested on a dozen models (PRA, ANE, STF, POT, FIG, AGS, etc.) under EMUI 8, 9 or 9.1.
It supports erofs partitions.

Thank you dear friend, it really works. I managed to increase the system partition on Huawei Nova 2s on Kirin 960 from 2700mb to 3500mb. In the HWGSIPartition program, I got errors, as I understand it in section B, but in the end everything went well.I wanted to ask you how much you can increase the system partition, in the HWGSIPartition program, there is a figure of 5GB.

Hi great dragon
I have fix errors, in my build of yesterday. To correct on your phone, just flash preavs, preas img in your twrp.
You can also flash with dd tools
The preavs, preas partition are not use in aosp or lineage since android 11. You can also make dload reset to restore huawei stock rom and try last release of my tools
For the size of system, it depend if you use erofs gsi or ext4, or ext4 share block
thank you for an awesome tool. sometimes my stock recovery fails to format but on second attemp it works well. this was a life saving and good relief for huawei device with small system size. now everyone could flash pe a13 etc etc. thank you.
Yes it seems to me that there is a small problem with the formatting, I am testing a version 0.63 which should correct this problem
Hi,
I'm trying to install your LeaOS rom on my P8lite 2017. The phone is unblocked, and I a have already install TWRP. The actually rom is EMUI 8.0.0.410 than I'm trying to reinstall the system partition like you said, before installing your LeaOS.
I saw the Readme.txt where I read than I have to run a script by cmd. I guess it works on Windows system. I'm a Linux user, so I wonder if this script could work on Linux?

You can effectively restore from E-Recovery or with dload method.
But do you have log ?
Original img are in the HW-IMG folder..perhaps just flash it with twrp or fastboot cmd
