About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days -- it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and gained contributors in the process. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew further with experience and learned a lot more along the way.
It has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning, striving to grow each day, and continuing to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We do not believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going comes out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All that we do ask is that you have patience, search for answers prior to posting, read, and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currently an issue that we are aware of and are addressing. For now, after you've changed the density -- reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

HW keys binding is not on DU source. You need to perform workaround to disable HW keys+backlights
For HW keys:
Assign all HW keys to none in
Settings->DU-Tweaks->Buttons
For Disabling The Hardware Keys Light :
Add The Following code to /system/etc/init.d/90userinit
Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness
chmod 755 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/max_brightness
and reboot

I used to be a huge fan of DU back in the day. Been running this for a while, despite no Wifi on my EPG2 and it's been working great. Will probably be my new daily driver once the wifi is working.

I know. As far as I'm aware no one has posted a flashable bootloader and just modem for the T3 version of the T-mobile Note 4. I know there is one for the N910T, but I haven't seen it for the N910T3. I'd just rather not have to revert to flashing the stock Samsung rom to get the latest modem and bootloader if I ever choose to go back to a touchwiz rom. I'll just wait until this hopefully gets fixed.

What's your SD card Formatted to? If it's Xfat try Fat32.

Flashed on 910T --- wifi and sim card did not work --- downgarded using ODin to DOK2 --- works fine except.
1. no finger print unlock , even after setting finger prints. No option on lock screen except to enter backup method.
2. no LTE , only getting H+ , is there any data fix for this ?
Great job! @Mr.NTh.na.vm This is build is as smooth as ever.

Working fine for me! SuperSU 2.79 SR3! But.. I'm on ext4. If you're on f2fs? I'd suggest you to either change your data partition to ext4 or flash Phh's Superuser.

Would you mind telling me how I'd change my data partition to ext4?
Viper keeps on wanting to install the driver when first started and doesn't install the driver in the end.. How do we get it to work?

You can try uninstalling the app and flashing Viper4Arise 2.3.3 Deuteronomy.zip in TWRP and profit.
Note to the OP, why include an app that refuses to work? But everything else works fine.

Those who are having problem installing viper driver first change selinux to permissive and thn install driver it will work. This is the basic drill for making viper work. I will change selinux to permissive by default from next build.
why not icons (silent, alarm, and notifications) in status bar???

Thank you, brother, continue the good and hard work.
Cheers mate! Thanks to you I can use crdroid for some more time and don't have to switch to lineageOS right away! I successfully updated (dirty flashed) two phones from crdroid v. 3.84 (the last version from the old thread). Keep up the good work!

Glad to hear a dirty flash over the other builds worked! I'll update the OP since I wasn't too sure about it at first.
@fireball0093 would it be okay if i deleted some system apps to save some space? Would that be considered included in modifying system files?

I would remove system apps at your own risk, there is a mild chance of breaking something within the system. However if you do, feel free to let me know which ones can be removed without a problem, I wouldn't mind looking into getting rid of a handful of apps myself You can use something like Titanium Backup to remove system apps

thumbs up on update
I have been on this rom for a few days. Great experience so far. Almost best we can get on falcon.
Thanks @fireball0093
Just to let everyone know, my laptop is out of commission right now so it might be a few weeks until I am able to release an update. I might be able to pop over to my local library to get an update pushed out in a week or two, but it depends on their time limit on their computers. Motherboard is fried so I have to buy a new one. I do apologize but I will get one out as soon as I'm able to

It is okay, no need to apologize. you already did great by reviving the rom.
New build up in OP. There will probably be a build in another week or two once the March security patch is incorporated in their source
I'm having an issue with my APN settings not sticking. I have a Boost mobile version (on Ting)
Hi, I've been using this rom for a couple of months now. Will there be any further updates to this project? If not, I need to switch to another rom, as I'd like to keep my phone patched with the newest security updates.

After today I have a week off from work, so expect a new build soon. Not too sure exactly what security patch level it will be, I'm hoping for June or July. I'll post the details when I get the new build pushed out. Finally got a new laptop last week
Cheers, I'll be looking forward to that release!
it's a good rom. let me know when you push an update. thanks
Having some compiling issues I'm sorting out, but wanted to let you all know I didn't forget about getting an update pushed out

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Hey there,
Please update your TWRP from HERE
Flashed the required latest image, then wiped everything, installed ROM, Gapps, Magisk, all as stated, using the TWRP 3.2 and after 30 minutes of the booting logo, gave up.
What am I missing? Didn't wait long enough?

Are you flashing any custom kernels too?
Did you flash the latest Vendor image which is linked in the second post?
It barely takes 3mins for first boot and around 15s for boots after that
@Slothello: what's booting logo: Google-logo or bootanimation of ROM?

No, and yes. And to answer the next question, it's the ROM logo.

I'm lost as to why this would happen. First verify the MD5 of the ROM zip which should be this: 1a367635cbe105f07b241de1cdf9d704, if it isn't same redownload the ROM.
After you've verified that, go into TWRP, flash the vendor image which is linked in the 2nd post, then go into wipe>advanced wipe>select all except internal storage.
Once done, flash the ROM zip and then GZRGApps which is linked in the 2nd post and then it should boot.
I'm using the same build of the ROM right now and face no booting issues. Please try the above and let me knowm
