Hi I'm not sure about this page , but I just want to let my problem to everyone who will be able to see and please share your idea if you know .
My hand set is samsung galaxy note 3 made in Vietnam and not able to root it shows UDC START when I run uden after that can't do any thing.
Which means can't run uden and no root.
There are a lot of choices:
iPhone 6, Sony Z3,Z3 compact, LG G3, Galaxy S5, Oppo flagship and so on.
2013 flagships dont dissapoint aswell, if you want some of your money back.

I have some questions before buy a Galaxy S7 from T-mobile.

Hey, I came here to get some help about some questions I have.
I'm from Mexico and im bout to buy a S7 SM-G930T apparently from T-Mobile (where I live T-Mobile doesnt exist obvios..). Anyway can you guys solve this questions I have?
1.- Is this model of this company has the bootloader locked? Cause I want to be able to install custom roms and root without any problem. If not, Can i unlocked it?
2.- Can you remove the bloatware? You know, those extra applications added by the company
3.- This model has Snapdragon instead of Exynox. How about general performance, games, apps, general system with android 7.0?
4.- What about the camera? I have a S6 with 16 megapixels and the S7 has 12 megapixels
I'd love to get answers to this questions, thank you. Also id like to hear you opinion about this phone, is it worth it? or do you have issues with?

Didn't sideload google apps.... because realized i don't need them to be installed.... using like a PC ! And after update this phone became even more better.
Was wondering about the window size adjustment since I didn't see that even after doing my out of the box update (after this was posted), but just checked and actually have 10.0.1.123 Guess they haven't released 138 to everyone yet
Which model do you have? Europe?

Lmao ! I use HMS ! The funniest part that I came from Pixel 4x and i thought is gonna be impossible. But I figured out how to use this device....you use stock browser to log in anything you want. Example banks, google drive etc...feels like i have a desktop in my pocket...lmao....i respect Huawei for optimization....games running extremely good, I can't believe that is much more optimized than snapdragons !!!!! I also have to admit that Huawei can improve smoothest of UI....but its coming in 10.1 ! So i respect all this....is better than my galaxy fold... better bro !!

Galaxy fold is not optimized as a tablet. Everything opens there as in smart phone view. You can change the screen size is switching down to tablet mode and you starting to see big lags in openning/closing apps.
Gaming on Fold (snapdragon) is bad... example AXE game., life after they all running bad on ultra settings.
Now i understand what is optimization meaning with
Mali-G76 MP16 and kirin. Im telling this as a owner of "2" galaxy fold ! Fold can't even run well 2 games together !

Link is fire ? thanks

need help asap!!! help me with my gt-n5100!

Hi, every now and then my father's gt-n5100 freezes and it needs to downgrade to stock firmware and then I can install a custom recovery to install another custom rom for him which he's comfortable with. after a while something happened that I really dunno about, the battery is changed is All I know but when I tried to fix it again it stucks at gt-n5100 logo and won't go any further I can't even install twrp again, tablet stuck on twrp logo too. I don't have a backup of IMEI and efs folder. my guess is that the situation here is totally f*cked up cuase I can't either work with adb. the only working half functioning recovery I tried and it worked after a while is civz touch 6.0.4.4 or the touchless version of it. it won't mount system or external sd, tried to flash multiple efs files with odin and recovery but no chance. guys I have a little time to fix this tablet it's really necessary for me to do so, if you know anything I can do tell me.

This tablet is very outdated - released 2013,4 & Android 4.
IMHO you have completely softbricked the tablet and you can't fix this at your own, this because ADB isn't working.
My recommendation: take it to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.

Well hope you guys haven't read my original version of the post. It will drive you insane, because I hate persuading anyone to give up fixing any electronics because I am poor. Therefore I gets a bit frustrated and non civil. Non civil part mostly fixed.
Just my point of view. Debates, questions, are always welcome.
I officially apologize for this.
This is a part of my original post, which shows a video of hammering a phone. Do NOT do this. (Although this is already the most civil part of the post)
Spoiler
Well in @jwoegbauer 's point, this will be a great tutorial, right?

Where to buy "already" rooted phone?

Hi, I am just not getting it. Spent money on two phones to see if I can unlock and root them, and it is not my forte! Don't even know where to start because there is just too much information out there when I search online.
Is there anywhere I can just buy a rooted device, or pay someone to do it. Since every search on the Internet leads back to this site I thought I should ask it here. If I am in wrong section please let me know.
Thank you
As you want to root your phone, I'm assuming you know how a phone works and how to differentiate models and variants!
You can't buy an already rooted phone, as none come with it. If you want a phone that is easy to root but still good for a daily driver, you have to know the following criteria:
- Very popular brand (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo)
- Has to have a Snapdragon processor (mediatek phones are harder to root)
- The specific device should be popular on XDA (examples include Redmi Note 8 Pro, Poco X3 Pro, most samsung S devices that have Snapdragon processors)
- Samsung S (s22, s20, s8, etc) only have Snapdragon CPUs in countries like the USA and I think China

yeah, but if you buy a oneplus don't get anything above the 8 lineup as they just get worse from there
and if you get a pixel 6 series i can't guarantee anything about that tensor chip being even bootloader unlockable

recipy for DISASTER. don't buy a pre rooted phone, who knows what keyloggers and spyware can be put alongside that root? i wouldn't risk it at all, in fact i wouldn't buy any daily driver thing from ebay outside of like a phone case
Thank you for the replies. I will keep reading and researching. I bought a Motorola G Stylus (2021) just now, and gave up on the Samsung s10e. So far I have been able to get adb and fastboot working. Reading on XDA to figure the rest out.
Very popular brands (Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, etc) tend to lock down their devices entirely. one can't just unlock bootloader from fastboot. beware of random guides, they often outdated or too broad.
before buying a device
- get confirmation that bootloader actually is unlockable (with regards to android version/carrier/branding etc)
- check community development is active (TWRP available? custom ROMs?)
you can do so by reading the proper section to device model on xda-developers

about every phone is on xda, just that many don't have populated Roms and Kernels sections (ie: huaweis) so make sure it has 7-10.000 messages at least if you want a really good starting point
Nobody should buy an already rooted phone.
You should ever re-flash the full stock, format data and then, re-root the phone by YOURSELF.

Hi, do you have any specific model you can suggest? Considering the following:
I want to buy an android that I can root for sure, no matter how old it is as long as it runs Android 6 at least, I need it to be as cheap as possible, and I want to buy it in USA, compatible with T-Mobile carrier which is the one I use
I bought this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3F9BRF9 and it was compatible with TMobile but there's no TWRP or info on how to root it, so I'm seeking for some old phone that actually works and is rooteable. I want to run some experiments but I need root access.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I found several Samsung S7 on Ebay that could work, do you think it's a good match for rooting?

download your phone firmware using same binaries
found it on download mode
extract on pc
copy the ap file to the phone u wanted to root
download magisk apk
click install magisk
select the ap file
wait
then there will be patched ap file
move it to the pc
flash it with odin
after flash install magisk
your phone now rooted
There are channels to buy pre-rooted phones, but I assume that we are not supposed to publish these things on XDA.
