Hello @ all,
My last droid was and HTC HD2... I'm now back at it with the OnePlus Nord & I know you guys can help me about finding the best setup, so if someone have some answer to these topics it will be very appreciated :
** Lineage vs Oxygen ? **
Going back from iOs to Android felt very familiar, even with years. I am really not some "phone focused" person so i do everything with computers. But having something nice & fast was still necessary after using my 6S to the maximum from 2015 to 2021. OnePlus convinced me.
I really enjoy the Oxygen UI, but reading you guys about some bloatwares in the build make me think about Lineage. I was thinking about some compromise to install Oxygen Launcher on it, but i think i will also lost some native functions. (?)
** unGoogling ? **
I need some Google Tools like Drive and Gmail, but, what do you think of it, especially if you are a OnePlus Nord User ? I don't feel bad about giving data if it is the less as possible.
** Rooting, Privacy & apps ? **
Have you some good advices, even a reason to prefer Signal to Telegram. Common tips, Feedback about Guides, Plus / Cons of rooting a OnePlus Nord...
** Performances & battery ? **
I remember about tweaking my HTC cpu to be at lowest frequency when screen was off, are these types of tweaks still necessary ? ^^
** Any other related links that i did'nt noticed yet ? **
May I find the balance with your help
Thank you for reading me & nice to meet you guys!

i am now discovering the stock rom with more control.
next: build versioning? lineage microG? apk cleaning? dual boot?
[interresting find]
*update*
i have unbloated the stock rom using Root Uninstaller (disabled apps & rebooted) [where i found the apps to delete] everything is really fine.
[...]
*update*
Updated from 10.5.10 rooted to 11 beta 3 after factory reset. Unbloated it with adb script. Rerooted with magisk flashed in TWRP (had to find somewhere to put zip during OTG mount).
Patiently waiting TWRP back-ups.
1 year later, I'm gonna sell my OP Nord & I pre-ordered some S22+
That device is still really good & was exactly what I needed but I managed a good price on the Samsung.
During this year, I kept Android 11 beta 3 without any update, I tweaked it so the UI was smooth and the battery last long time.
Here are the tweaks used :

Hiya! I just have a small issue about Touchwiz Resurrection 9.5 on my Samsung Ace S5830i. I just installed it to my phone and I realized that there some issue with the dates. I chose the particular format I wanted, instead of it saying the day "Wednesday" it says "6". I thought it was just a glitch, so I rebooted my phone and even tried downloading UCCW ( widget app) it shows the same. it doesn't even shows "JULY 11" when I tried to change it too. HELP!!!
Settings > More > Advanced Settings > Status Bar Clock

Here are the dates shown on the status bar and UCCW widget
So there's Statusbar Clock, and on Statusbar tweaks, Clock and Lock screen options don't work. Oh and the battery seem incorrect, it would say 50% when the icon shows like it's almost empty. I'm obviously new and these are minor stuff please help!
Hi the ROM you are using is out of date, the developer of Touchwiz Resurrection has released a new version: [ROM] Touchwiz-Resurrected ROM [10/6/2014][V1.0]
Please try that ROM instead and if you still experience problems then either post a bug report to that thread (I.e. a description + logcat) or if you're unable to do so then it's a better idea to post your problems here as that way you won't annoy the dev: Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't have this device so can't recommend anything, besides its a rule in most forums that you shouldn't ask which ROM is best as it's completely subjective, your favourite might not be my favourite. With that said you should look here:Galaxy Ace S5830i Android Development then make a decision by a) looking at the features lists and b) checking the bug lists for each ROM and making your decision from there. After flashing a few you'll find a keeper.
Good luck :good:

Kernel seems to be missing a few features of the stock, and installed BusyBox corrupt
As mentioned above, there does seem to be some issues with the kernel and root methods.
Everything else works like a charm, as it did when it was stock, however, V4A no longer takes to the device with the kernel (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ustomized-kernel-sm-s820l-finally-to-t3513050) (Non-ADB root), and Orbot no longer properly connects. All signs point to this being because the kernel you made lacks the NetFilter feature, needed for VPN's and Proxies.
In other news, I would assist you in correcting this, and building a CM port from your ROM, but my PC's hard drive blew and I'm currently looking for a replacement, as well as more RAM and a CPU that at least runs OpenGL 2.
I do have my hands on a completely stock firmware for the SM-S820L and I will see what I can do with it from there on my device.

Hey there!! Thanks for the info. I wonder if I uploaded the wrong project because I have this Kernel installed in my phone and I use PIA vpn which works just fine. The Busybox does seem to be messed up because when I tried to install an update Stericson version, I got a bunch of errors.
I use Assayyed Kitchen to mod the stock components for both Kernel and ROMs. If you know your way around this Kitchen or have other methods to fix these issues I would be grateful for the help.
My email is [email protected]
Feel free to email me or just shoot me PMs on this site. We can make things happen:good::laugh:
Any news on getting this fixed? Would be cool to have Knox and bloat killed.
Hey there!
My name is Thomas and I'm new to this forum. I have a cheap Chinese phone: the UMIDIGI One Pro. It's a really good smartphone provided with stock Android 8.1.
It's been a few weeks since Android 9 came out and I think it's a very good version. I currently use Pear Launcher and Power Shade to have a close interface (I'm a fan of Pie one).
I like hacking and I had a little fun yesterday by rooting my phone with Magisk and installing the God's favorite language with Termux (RUBY <3). Just looking at examples of what I could do with Termux I saw that I could see if my phone supported Treble, and contrary to what I thought ... it is!

I am a newbie so correct me if I say nonsense but I think it would allow me to update to android 9, right? I watched some tutorials but they use TWRP (and I have not found a version compatible with my phone because it is really little known and recent).
I am currently able to use:
- ADB & Fastboot
- Termux
- Magisk
- SP Flash Tools (I used it in order to install Magisk)
- The ROM folder downloaded from the website of my phone: [link blocked as I'm a new user]
But I'm not able to:
- Unlock bootloader (when I restart on fastboot and perform the command "fastboot oem unlock", it asks me to press volume up to confirm because it could void the warranty and then it says "unlock failed"
- Install TWRP (as I don't found any supported version)
Do you think I can update it to android 9? If yes, how?
Thank you very much for taking the time to read me. Sorry if my English is not very good (I'm french).
Thomas!
I found a compatible TWRP version here : [Link blocked because I don't have 10 posts]
So I installed it with SP Flash Tools. :good:
I also found a TWRP for the ONE PRO, but I have the ONE, you think it will work ?
And from what source did you get the boot.img to install Magisk ?
I have the One Pro it's the same phone except you have a bigger battery and I have wireless charging capabilities...... keep me posted because I might want to do the same
Hello. It's been about 5 years, and a lot has changed:
-twrp is broken, fastboot fun times
-I've got to go "systemless" root for Google pay & safety net
-there's partitions A and B to worry about
But my main question is, with these things in mind, how am I going to restore from a TB backup from my old phone? (It has all my sms, call logs, apps and data, etc)
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction for how to achieve a rooted android 10 P3a that passes safety net and will allow me to restore my titanium backup, presumably using magisk as the root method.
Is the process straightforward or are there some extra steps and things to keep in mind, any major differences?
Thoughts, comments, questions, concerns? Do tell!

Alright buddy,
If I follow this guide, then install TB, then restore... If I get one single error along the way... Then I'm holding you personally accountable, Mr... Andisa, if that is your real name.
Don't worry guys, I've done the research and compiled a nice guide for you.
Step 1. Install TB and backup everything
2. Now install Split APK Installer
3. Set the filter settings as seen in this helpful image below:

}
4. Look at the list of all the apps that TB will fail to restore
5. Uninstall TB
6. Search for a modern-day complete backup and restore solution while continuing to pray that we'll someday return to the golden era of android custom development.

Looks like you owe me an apology.
You could also try the tools provided by my Android Backup Project. Those should work on Android 7 - 11 but unfortunately not yet tested much on non stick Android builds
Hello Guys. This is Ameer Hamza new to Xda and android development.
There was a huge request from Moto E5 owners to have an Android Q ROM as most developers stopped their support for this device after Android 9
Android 10 ROM for Moto E5 Plus (hannah) unofficial
lineage-17.1-20201118-UNOFFICIAL-hannah.zip
drive.google.com
I'm not the owner, modder, developer or compiler of the ROM. I'm sharing it for the sake of public service.
What's Working:
Using this ROM since 3 weeks. This ROM is super stable. Everything is working fine
SOME MOTO GESTURES ALSO PRE-AVAILIBLE LIKE CHOP FLASHLIGHT, SHAKE TO OPEN CAMERA ETC
What's not working:
Nothing. But I didn't tried NFC. Expecting it to be functional too
As like lineageOS for other devices, Internal audio recording is not available for screen recorder.
Magisk is not working. Use superSU instead to root
You cannot flash custom Kernel with this ROM
Bugs:
No noticeable bug. But sometimes Screen freezes and doesn't respond to touch. This glitch restores just by turning screen off and on. But it is very rare to occur.
My own Experience:
This ROM is most optimized ROM for this Device.
Game Play: Although Device has Snapdragon 425 chipset which is not for high-end gaming. But this ROM proved to be revolutionary for gaming
As far as PUBG is concerned, I can easily play it on Ultra HD 30 FPS or Balanced 60 FPS. That too absolute lag-free
After 1.5 hours of Gaming on Ultra HD, my CPU temperature was 39°C. Make sure it doesn't pass 45°C and hopefully won't

Battery Backup: up-to 11 hours and 30 minutes
Animations: Out-Standing
Overall Performance: 10 times better than stock ROM. Much better than any ROM for this device
Installation:
1. Unlock bootloader (skip if already unlocked)
2. Install TWRP/other recrecovery. (Skip if already have)
3. Place ROM file in Internal storage, SD Card or USB OTG according to ease and comfort
4. Wipe System, Data, Dalvik, Cache and Vendor
5. Locate your ROM Zip file to install. Swipe to confirm
6. Flash GAPPS as they are not included in ROM package. Get it from Opengapps.com
7. Set it up and get ready to dive into unlimited gaming experience
Remember me in prayers..!
es tu ROM @whodat711
does it work on the normal moto e5? (nora)
install GAPP error code: 64
works very well, Thank you!
used nano open gapps
Can this rom work for e5 play
