Vivo V15 Pro Autoshutdown issue - Vivo V15 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello, I'm a V15 Pro user from Philippines, and I have this annoying issue with this phone, it just shuts down on it's boot and boot again and again until I plug it in the socket, but when I unplug the phone, it won't work normally anymore, Some people said it was the battery, but why would it be the battery?

have you tried any custom firmware installation, ROM or recovery? also, what kind of usage do you usually do with your phone? everyday games, picture or sounds. or just for communication and social media?

[Q] Help with Doogee DG2014, USB issues

Hi people at XDA,
I recently got a Doogee DG2014 from Hong Kong, and had a great time with it. Till I tried changing the fonts with HiFont, then it didn't want to boot up at all - stuck at the boot screen.
Now, I've downloaded all the needed software to fix this issue--- downloaded a new ROM, SP Flash Tool, and USB drivers. But my problem lies somewhere else now, My PC doesn't pick up my phone at all. Not even a sound when I plug it in. I can access the recovery menu on my phone easily, but I still just can't seem to figure out what's the issue with my phone not wanting to get recognized by the PC and such. This happened even before the phone got bricked. However, the cable is not the issue either. I can plug in my tablet and it picks it up immediately.
Any suggestions, please? :/

[Completed] THL T11 loses some preferences when restarting

I've been using my THL T11 for two months on Android 4.4.2 and it restarted 2 or 3 times every day. Also, each time it restarted, all my widgets disappeared. Few days ago, when I installed the Google Keyboard it restarted again but this time the android UI got broken, but I could hear all the sounds (low battery, new messages) and even I was able to turn on the torch. I decided to flash it with a new CWM Recovery and install a new ROM, which is an edited version from the latest official ROM with some issues fixed.
Some issues were fixed indeed, but the phone randomly restarted again several times. Each time the phone restarts (either voluntarily or unwittingly) some of my settings or preferences are gone and set by default. For example, each time I open an url, it asks me which internet browser I want to set as default. The same happens when I open photos, videos, launcher, keyboard, etc.
On the other hand, each time I plug the phone to the computer as USB storage device, the phone restarts immediately. But if I plug it as Media storage or Only charge, it works fine. I googled this issue and it comes that it must be some app installed on the SD card that crashes, but I can't find out which app causes this. It also restarts automatically undefinitelly , but by the time being I have to find the reason yet.
So, can anyone give me some help with these two issues?
Thanks in advance
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately I can't find anything relating to your query on XDA, but a quick search allowed me to find this thread:
ThL T11 Smartphone MTK6592 2GB 16GB 5.0 Inch FHD Gorilla Glass 8MP camera
It might be a good idea to ask your question there to see if anyone else with this phone is having the same issue, or knows how to fix it.
Good luck!
Thread closed, thanks.

[Q] Soft Brick Huawei Y320-U151

I was watching a video on my phone when all my apps made a pop-up saying "Unfortunately *app* has stopped working". This happened for every app, I tried to factory reset from recovery mode because I couldn't access Settings, but when I did the factory reset nothing changed and the problem persisted. I decided to just leave the phone and the next day it wouldn't turn on at all no matter what and when I tried to charge it and left it for two hours it seemed as if it wasn't charging because the temperature of the phone or the charger didn't change so I came to the conclusion that my phone is bricked. When I plug the phone in by USB to a computer, the computer makes the connected sound.

Any Updates on what happened with your phone?
Hello. Your phone uses MTK Cpu? (You can see in gsmarena and if ur cpu for example is MTxxxx)
If yes then install VCOM drivers for your phone on pc (works well on windows xp) after that see if pc finds your device or not (in device manager u can see that) if the pc finds it and there are no problems u can flash it with SP-Flashtool .
and if no, it means there is an hardwere problem (it happens when phone falls on ground and etc...)
You can find a guid on internet for flashing your phone
Sorry i didnt explaind everything and sorry for my bad english

Recover files from bootlooping Zenfone6

Dear all,
from the occasional reboot my Zenfone performed every now in a while (which didn't bother me too much) it now reboots so fast that it usually has not yet booted to the point where I could get data off the device before it reboots again.
As always, the backup is too old and I want to extract some data off the device. Most important are a few KBs worth of text notes. Here come some questions:
- It seems to be a hardware fault. Are there educated guesses what may give me a few last moments with the device to extract data? Heat? Freezing?
- Are there professional data recovery companies dealing with smartphones such that they can extract data from the chips without the phone working?
- As it is a Qualcomm device: Would any access via QDLoader work or would it be as unstable as the rest of the phone?
I appreciate any input. And yes, I know that I didn't backup often enough.
Thanks,
weaker
which rom are you on?
Sorry for the late reply.
I'm on stock ROM with Magisk. In the end when it became worse, I let Magisk restore the images but this definitely seems to be hardware-related. I also did no overclocking and I don't use games on the phone so I think that it is also not a thermal issue.
To keep the interested ones updated how it evolved: The situation is now as follows:
I tried to boot into recovery via fastbooting the TWRP (the one I used many times successfully for my phone) after one of the phone bootings was stable for enough seconds so have ADB contact and go to fastboot mode. I hoped to be able to interact more stabily in the recovery. However, the result was that the phone rebooted (I am unsure if the TWRP transfer was finished before that) and then the charging screen appeared and the charging screen remained constantly on, even when pulling the cable. It didn't react to any keypresses in that state.
I let it drain the battery (which was only a few hours as the screen was always on). Then, I plugged the phone in and it booted normally and was stable for 15 minutes or so, which gave me enough time to save the most important data. Phew.
This session however seemed to be the last farewell. The phone started to bootloop and I switched it off*. Now the phone has always a black off screen and doesn't respond to anything: Pressing (and holding) the power button, also in combination with Vol+ or Vol-. Also plugging a cable to charge doesn't create any reaction.
* switching it off worked the following way: The unlocked bootloader shows that one could press the power button to pause the boot. I can't think of why this might be a useful function in a normal situation. However, in my situation I could pause the boot and after some time it would switch off. That way I could at least break the bootloop.
you will have to boot into qloader to be able to recover your phone...
follow step by step exactly what is mentioned in the below link, ypu should be able to recover your phone :
Here’s how to unbrick Asus ZenFone 6 (Asus 6z) from QDLOADER 9008 mode - PiunikaWeb
Is your Asus ZenFone 6 (Asus 6z) hard-bricked? You can use still flash via QDLOADER 9008 mode to give a new life to your dead handset.

Sorry to be the prick here, but next time post this in Q&A section. This one is for posting development (Kernels and ROMs)
OK, no offense taken. I thought that I would need to resort to some TWRP magic to get data off my device.
@MOD: Feel free to move thread where it fits best.
For the sake of completeness:
The phone is back from RMA. According to the sparse documentation they exchanged the mainboard and battery and some connector. Some firmwares are now newer than on the old mainboard (little surprise here). Bootloader unlock worked also on the new phone (some report that this would not work by default after an RMA, for me it did).
So, ASUS did a great job dealing with the issue.

Question Poco X3 Pro - Random Reboots and Shut Downs

Hello all, I have a X3Pro running PE13+, and all of a sudden over the past 2-3 days, the phone just keeps rebooting or randomly switches off. This phone has never been through much intensive usage and I doubt that would be the case. Although this feels like a classic case of PMIC, the phone DOES NOT reboot/shut down when it's connected to the system to pull logs through ADB.
I have tried dirty flashing the ROM, changing the kernel and removing any recent application to rule out conflicts, nothing seems to help. I just wanted to make sure there is anything I can do which can help me diagnose the issue, and decide whether it requires a trip to the service center.
I managed to pull a log through wireless ADB, it does not indicate anything out of the blue or maybe this is not how it's done.
Kindly let me know if you have any suggestions and if there is a specific method to ascertain what exactly is causing the chaos!
