in redmi device there is some restrictions to bootloader and fastboot cannot access some partitions in your device bcz of insuficient drivers.
here sol:
flash custum recovery in your device
-through custum recovery you can flash gsi
-if your version of redmi 9a is 12.0.25-12.5.9 you cannot open custum recovery but
-you can get full access of fastboot through recovery by using this commands you will enter into custum recovery that is"fastboot reboot fastboot","adb reboot fastboot".this commands works after flashing custum recovery.
-if you want use custum even if your data lost flash custum recovery and wipe data.
-you can esily enter into recovery

[SOLVED] Mi4i continuous reboot issue, Fastboot not detecting, MI4i stock recovery

I wanted to try brand new Nougat ROMs. So, I flashed twrp using Mi4i Toolkit and took backup of my MIUI8.
I tried many ROMs and decided to return to my MIUI8 nandroid backup.
But when I tried to restore the nandroid backup, It went successful but after restoring, Phone started rebooting in each 4-5 minutes. Searched and found that many people were facing this issue and they stayed on custom ROMs just because of this issue. So. I thought to create a new thread so this major problem can be easily solved.
How I got it fixed that,
REBOOT ISSUE
Download Full stock MIUI ROM pack here : http://en.miui.com/download-263.html
1. Boot into TWRP
2. Wipe Dalvik/ART, Cache, Data (Internal Storage not required to wipe)
3. Flash ROM zip.
4. If It gets failed, No need to worry.
5. Go to advanced options in TWRP and select "Fix Contexts".
6. Try flashing Again.
7. It is successful now. Boot device and Perform a full reset ( again deleting Internal storage is not needed.)
8. Here you go, No reboots now, You get brand new performance of MIUI ROM flawlessly
Hit thanks if it works for you or ask me in replies.
Fastboot Not Detecting
It has been noticed even after installing Minimal ADB and Fastboot drivers properly and performing all adb commands flawlessly, some computers can't detect devices in fastboot mode. Here's the solution.
1. Download Minimal ADB and Fastboot here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
2. Install and extract in a folder
3. Open command prompt in the folder.
4. connect your device in fastboot mode. (By holding power and vol- key, you can enter in fastboot mode)
5. Type
Code:
fastboot devices
and press enter
6. If it detects , then you've no problem.
7. If it doesn't detect go to device manager on your PC ( Press Windows+X, M on win10)
8.It might be detecting your device with some name, look for it.
9. Once you find, choose to uninstall its driver
10. Now click on action in menu bar and "Scan for hardware changes"
11. It now detects your device. If It doesn't, Uninstall and Install ADB drivers again and repeat above steps.
12.
Code:
fastboot devices
now should be showing your device.
MI4i Stock Recovery
Found stock recovery on MIUI forum for MI4i but there's a problem with that. It shows option to wipe External SD (which isn't supported for MI4i), So I doubt this could be pulled from the same MI4i.
So, I backed up Genuine MI4i Stock Recovery from my MI4i with flashify.
Steps:
1. Boot into fastboot mode.
2. Connect with PC and open command prompt in the same folder of fastboot and ADB
3. Put this file https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B98eukQ9ePc-NnljcmxjWWJvUHc in same folder
4. Type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery mi4istockrecovery
press enter
5. Cheers! You're now on stock recovery.
6. Boot into recovery mode to verify.

Which ROM?
This issue is called Bootloop.
1.Flash twrp through cmd
2. Wipe everything ( except the internal storage, as it's not needed )
3. Try repeating the same.
If you again face the issue, try downloading flashable zip of the same ROM and try flashing via twrp.

The easiest way to do this is by dowloading fastboot ROM for your miui version. Once you extract the files, there will be a recovery.img inside.
Then u can flash the recovery via fastboot flash recovery recovery.img to return the recovery to stock.
Done.

Does Gpay work with bootloader unlocked and xiaomi.eu rom?
is the widevine L1 working?
is the hdr working
For installing updates, do we need to follow the dirty flash process via TWRP? I tried via the updater but the process simply restarts mobile and nothing happens.
New version of Xiaomi.eu ROM is out.
Question is how to updtae without losing data?
What's the problem? The test TWRP from mauronofrio can't decrypt data? Sry for the questions, I have not tested it yet

Yes, cant decrypt -> probably can't update.
Even if you do use OTG to read the .zip...
Will it overwrite to encrypted partitions? Won't that break the system?
Or
Will it boot fine - but will the updated ROM be able to read the probably still encrypted user data?

I have a Redmi note 8 with xiaomi.eu but I think I can help you. In order to update you flash the new zip. It just overwrites the system partition not the data. And you are still able to decrypt them. There is no problem I tried it. You will have to reflash magisk although. But in case anything goes wrong just format data and you will be fine.

Super weird... it didnt work for me... flashing was successful
but it keeps rebooting to fastboot mode.
While doing format data, i did receive an error message "unable to find /metadata" is that normal?
EDIT: So what happen is, I did all over again with slightly different steps
1) i reflashed official firmware to revive my phone
2) Once I'm able to boot on official ROM, I flash TWRP
3) Format Data + restart TWRP
4) Copied ROM and flash Xiaomi EU rom
5) Restart to system immediately after flashing ROM. Managed to boot Xiaomi EU rom.
6) Reboot to recovery and flash magisk
7) Restart to system, set up, and done.

I think he did it with the miflash tool. I had to do it so because I stucked in Fastboot mode.
I also had a problem with metadata. I have recovery aleks.msk, can enter fastboot but nothing else. Miflash does not work, uploading the firmware via recovery does not get up.
In fastboot mode copy latest xiaomi.eu zip (not the fastboot, the regular one)to the phone and flash it in twrp - reboot to system

realme 3 Recovery Help

Hey Team , I Needed A Help. I Recently Rooted My RMX1821 ( realme 3 ) Using Magisk But I Wanted To Install Custom Rom And That Wasn't Possible Without Custom Recovery ( I Mainly Focus On TWRP ). In Hurry , I Flashed My Custom ROM Zip File By Fastboot Using The Command : fastboot flash system (CUSTOMROMZIPFILE).zip . That ... Was My Biggest Mistake Ever. Now , My Device Is Revived By Service Center And Now , I Don't Want To Take Risks . Please Anybody Help In Getting The Correct CUSTOM RECOVERY And Rooting My RMX1821 ( realme 3 ) . [ NOTE : I HAVE MY BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED ]

[Tutorial] How to install TWRP on device that does not have recovery partition.

In this guide ,I will be showing you how to install TWRP on devices that does not have recovery partition.
We all know that some OnePlus phone and the recent Tecno pova 2 comes with dual boot i.e.a/b slots.
Pls bear it in mind that this torturial is for device shipped with A/B partitions, u must have the two boot image from the current phone ready and untouched.
Ur bootloader must be unlocked
The ported TWRP must be 3.5. and above(am not going to show u how to port TWRP neither Will I show u how to edit the fstab in this post.)
Let's get Started
Remember u have to know ur active boot slot first by running this command while in fastboot mode
fastboot getvar all
After u have ur ported TWRP image (make sure you rename it to something easy to remember e.g, twrp.img) placed inside the adb folder and hold shift and right click and select open power shell here.
And boot ur device to fastboot mode by running
Adb reboot bootloader
Now in fastboot mode ,make sure phone is detected by PC while in fastboot mode
Run the following command one by on
Fastboot devices
fastboot boot twrp.img
Now your will be greeted with the TWRP dashboard.
But do bear in mind that this is just temporary and once u reboot it will get replace
But to make it permanent do the following
Method (1):
While booted to twrp go to advance and select install recovery ramdisk and swipe to confirm.after successful installation,u have to reboot once again to TWRP and u will notice is now permanent.
Method (2)
This method only appears if u don't have the option to install recovery ramdisk
.
Go to advance and select install current recovery and reboot to recovery first before rebooting to system.
Note:if you can't find the option of install recovery ramdisk and u are sure u are using 3.5 above good news is there is also a way to enable it.
And if have boot TWRP.img and twrp.zip ,u can flash the TWRP.zip while in twrp temporary boot dashboard to save u time.
