Hi,
anyone got experience changing from xiaomi to another manufactuer? i`ve been using a xiaomi account on my xiaomi for calendar and contacts. now that i bought a google pixel 4a i`m having problems getting the google calender sycned with the xiaomi account.
Any idea? I tried to export the calendar but it wasn`t possible.
Thanks and kind regards,
malu
can't you just install the regular google calendar app on your xiaomi and then I think it should automatically fill itself out? for the contacts you can probably also just install google contacts and have it do it's thing
Hi dandu3,
thanks for your reply. Installed google calendar on my old xiaomi and i synced with my mi account calendar on the xiaomi (phone). But still there is no connection to my new google pixel google calendar.
The problem I see is that the xiaomi account has no email address, so I can't just add the account on my google calendar on my new pixel.
Any other ideas?
So far I've tried:
1) When firing up the new pixel I connteced my old xiaomi via c-typ cable to tranfser data/concats/apps but at the end of the process there was a error msg that these datats/contacts/apps couldn't be transfered to the new pixel
2) Installing the share me app (by xiaomi) on both phones. This would let me transfer everything except calendars
[Solved] the iCal import/export 3.2 app worked. It recognized the local xiaomi calender icals from my old xiaomi and I could tranfser it to my email account. On the pixel I synced this same email account.

i have noticed that after updating a google contact on my android phone JB and after sync the contacts manually (settings> accounts >google), it doesn't get updated on my main google account on the web.
please advice.
thank you.
Some of my newer contacts are not synching with either my Google Contacts or my Outlook.com contacts. I'm on a Nexus 5 running Android 5.1.
I use Outlok.com for my primary repository for contacts and calendars, however I use GSyncit add-on for MS Outlook (desktop) to sync my desktop Outlook contacts and calendars to Google. This way I can use Outlook.com or Google Calendar / GMail to access/share my calendar and access contacts depending on the situation.
Everything is working fine on the desktop end so that is irrelevant to this problem (so probably shouldn't even have wrote the above paragraph - but just in case.)
I see there is a new Google Contacts app on the phone and on the web. I noticed this when I clicked on the People app and it said the app was missing. When I go to the web version of Google Contacts via my Google account, there are no contacts there! All my contacts are still in Gmail though of course.
I see that when I attempt to edit an older contact on the phone, it first prompts me with which Google account I want to sync with. I don't need to sync my phone contacts directly with Google, I just want to sync with Outlook.com -> Outlook -> Google (via GSyncit) but I suppose it wouldn't cause a problem if I just had the phone sync to both accounts (probably will then need to disable GSyncit contact sync between Outlook desktop and Google).
What is weird is that it is like Google made the mistake of launching this new contacts app, but there's no notice or migration instructions on the changes with the new app. I just happend to discover something was "unhooked" by trying to edit a contact! I just discovered the new Contacts app on the web by Googling, Google Contacts. I'm technically saavy and somewhat of an Android Wonk, and am surprised this is all a surprise!
Do I have to go try to edit every single contact on the mobile Contacts app now to select which Google account it syncs with? I HOPE NOT!
At the risk of appearing dumb I'm leaving my original post for background. It appears this is (not surprisingly) all a Microsoft issue. When I went into the Outlook.com app on my phone, when you click on the Contacts and Calendars Sync setting, nothing happens! Come to find out this app is no longer on the play store. It appears to have been replaced earlier this year by the Microsoft Outlook Preview. Installed that app, and it doesn't and an account type to the phone! So it appears, unlike the Outlook.com app, it won't sync calendars and contacts with the native Android calendar and contacts app. It's as if Microsoft is trying to make you use their new app instead of the stock Android apps that just sync with the Outlook.com account? Please say this isn't so!

Title: How To Sync Contacts & Calendars with Native Android Phone Apps?
Reply
Hi,
Unfortunately , by design, it is not yet possible to sync your Android phone contacts to your Outlook.com account.
Note: At the moment, you can only sync Outlook.com contacts to your android phone.
Please provide your suggestions/opinion as a feedback to the development team. To do this, click on the gear icon on the top right corner of Outlook.com homepage and select 'feedback' from the dropdown menu.
Hope this information is helpful.

However, this isn't that big of a deal as I come to find out, even though there is no longer an Outlook.com account type on the phone any more, you can use the Exchange account type and use server address: s.outlook.com and then you can sync everything. Why the MS Tech didn't point this out it baffling.
(big middle finger for you Microsoft)
HI,
got a new P40 Pro and set up Google Mobile Services with Google Play Store fine with two accounts, a "casual" gmail account and my GSuite Business Account which I pay for monthly within my own domain.
The Gmail Acc. works fine, but cant login on the GSuite account,
Notifications pop up every minute "Google Account Manager: Login failure at <mail>"
Can someone help?
If anyone else come up with this question,
I had to disable the Mobile Device Management in the GSuite Apps Administration interface.
Then you can login with your GSuite acc on Huawei P40 Pro

Thanks mate :good:
At work we use Gsuite. Huawei mail app works great with it, but the calendar doesn't.
Currently I'm using Outlook ap to sync mail and canlendar, but it seems Outlook drains my battery from 30-40% to 0% overnight, so I would like to try alternative.
Is there a way to sync Calendar without installing GMS?

I just wonder, have you tried Google My Business tools for your website? It could help me in promoting my business ideas and listings, that I was trying to push into google search and google maps services. You know, this website I could find recently explains a lot of facts about Google My Business, and how you can resolve different issues that may happen while you're using it.
I use Business calendar pro and Birthday calendar (both combined with Birthdays).
2 calendars for 2 different widgets ...

Hello all,
A month ago I bought the Chinese version of Xiaomi 12 . The phone came with Pre-installed Basic google services, But I am feeling it's not working fine .(to my knowledge I do have all google services installed)
problems are:
1. Google accounts sync are giving sometimes failure to automatically sync, so I sync them manually and it works, I am not sure what subjects need to be synced or where I can find the synced data on google drive (For example in my case Google News doesn't sync even manually and it gives error *The app is installed*)
2. I am having trouble syncing Xiaomi Calendar with Google calendar (I prefer working on Xiaomi calendar, google looks a bit messy for me)
in Xiaomi calendar I didn't have the option to add google account for unknown reason (unlike what guides on the web suggesting), I can only Import file/Link, But it didn't work with Google calendar's link
so I downloaded google calendar app and once opened it was added automatically on Xiaomi calendar's accounts but still it took a day or two for appointments from google to appear even after manual sync .(In Calendar's accounts I can sync each account manually but I need automation I can't always remember to sync them )
We all having appointments on google calendar and this is scaring me of missing them because it's not syncing right. I am a bit confused because Xiaomi has its own sync service to the cloud and on the other hand Google has one of its own to Google drive and no one wants to add each appointment twice on google and on Xiaomi calendar
* I Attached photos of my phone's Accounts & Sync section .
Can Anyone help me get through this ? is it possible to fix this and relax ?
