Hello everyone!
I've just built and released pressureNET 2.0, an app that collects user-submitted barometer readings with hopes that I'll be able to use the data to improve short-term, local weather prediction and eventually give users a personalized, 30-minute-range weather forecast. While only the Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Xoom have barometers, all Android devices 3.0+ can run the app and view the map.
Currently we attempt minimal interpretation of the data since we have only about 1,200 active users. However, as we grow our user base we will overlay useful weather information on the map, such as changes in atmospheric pressure over time. This can be correlated with radar imagery to provide improved weather forecasting.
The source code for both the Android app and the server side is on our blog at cumulonimbus.ca. Thanks,
Jacob

Testing now....
I am downloading it now to check it out.
This app is pretty dang cool!! There are a lot more devices with a barometer now. Galaxy Nexus is one of them. Everyone who has a Galaxy Nexus should download this. Once it gets big enough cool things are going to happen from it I'm sure!
The OP has asked me to post the market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=ca.cumulonimbus.barometernetwork
and his blog post announcing the 2.0 release:

"Children guessed (but only a few) and down they forgot as up they grew." - e. e. cummings
Hi everyone,
I want to update you quickly: we are now receiving almost 500 barometer readings per hour from our users, which means we have grown massively since the launch of 1.0 and even since the 2.0 launch. For some perspective, just two weeks ago we were receiving only 80 per hour.
We really want to grow this to be a large network that will enable us to improve short term weather prediction as well as contribute to collecting global climate data. And so, pressureNET 2.0 has a whole bunch of new features:
- My Info button to show personalized statistics and your recent submission graph
- Log Viewer to see your last day’s worth of submissions
- Pressure tendencies viewable on the widget
- Export user data now available in CSV
- Multiple UI improvements and fixes, including a fully revamped widget
You can read more in the blog post and download the app from the link 0vermind posted above. Thanks!
Jacob

APP IS PRETTY MUCH STABLE FOR EVERYDAY USAGE
BACKGROUND
Hello guys,
I'm not even a junior developer yet(soon) and I decided to practice and experiment on a self-made app. I always wanted to have an extensive battery stats app and that's why I chose to develop such one. To be honest, during the process I learned so many things about coding that nor the Java Course learned me, nor the university and I'm really glad that I'm working on it.
DESCRIPTION
This application is coded with the intention to provide you with information about your battery's health. It can measure the voltage, the charge / discharge rate, battery wear(only new and specific phones have such sensor) and temperature.
TODO:
* Add a battery report tool that will give information about all the battery statistics your device supports so it will be easier to add more supported devices
* Add a precise charger tester mode
* Add more supported devices
FINAL WORDS
I would be more than grateful if you download, test and let me know here how the app behaves for you(especially the update interval accuracy in the settings)
If you would like to donate me(paypal)

That's what I thought. It has been downloaded on my phone a few weeks ago but I didn't update . and mine is R770XXU2BQC5. How is it? I've seen people complaint about poor battery life. That's why I didn't update...I can get 3 days now and still have about 15% left. Don't want to ruin that lol.
bcq5 is already released in india with tizen2.3.2.3
now go search for " here we go " app they say is now available Or samsung internet, also not available, lies, all lies.
Just got my S3 Frontier, US AT&T and it has Tizen 2.3.2.0, Software, R765AUCU1APJ8. I don't know what this has over previous versions since this is my first, but just to let others know what version it comes with atm.
In Germany we have R760XXU2BQC5, but Tizen 2.1.2.3 with the very ugly error: in temperature display the current time is shown one hour wrong
I have installed this and see no battery issues. 2 days since charge and it still has 75% battery. Although I disabled AOD, wifi, location and gestures
Anyone here got the update on tmobile Frontier LTE?
I recently got a Huawei Watch 2 Classic and coming from a Fitbit Charge 2, and am getting a bit confused with step counting and the magnitude of apps I seem to have now and the wild difference between step counting.
I realise none of them are going to 100% accurate and am just looking for a rough guide of what I am getting during the day.
So now I seem to have a variety of places I can view my step count (as I am currently wearing both the Classic & my Fitbit), and the results vary massively, an example from yesterday...
Application - Device - Total
Google Fit - Phone / Web - 5326
Google Fit - Watch 2 Classic - 5305
Daily Tracking - Watch 2 Classic - 3113
Huawei Health - Phone - 4193
Fitbit - Charge 2 - 9282
So thats a high of 9282 and a low of 3113, for the same day wearing both wearables constantly, with the difference that the Watch was on my non-dominant wrist and Fitbit was on my dominant wrist but set as such within the Fitbit app.
A couple of points I don't understand:
* Google Fit differently reports on the Phone app differs from that displayed on the Watch.
I thought it could be that the phone also records movement but shouldn't the two apps resolve to the same number for historical values?
* Daily Tracking & Health app report differently, but I thought Daily Tracking was the watch version of the Health app? as above I thought the Health phone app would record movement, but again would of thought it resolved for historical numbers
* Daily Tracking, Health & Fit are essentially using the same Watch and phone hardware, but are 1000 to 2000 steps different. I realise they probably have different algorithms for step calculation, but this seems a lot.
* Fitbit is way more!
I am looking to get a look at my step count (and would prefer to consolidate everything in Google Fit) but unsure where the differences come from and which one is more reliable and why the two Google Fit sources differ (albeit only by a small margin).
Has anyone worked out how to get them to align, or which to go with, or what is the best method to consolidate?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Fitbit has been known to over estimate step counts.
huawie watch I have proved over estimates steps after update. Fitbit and Xiaomi are more accurate.
In fact the cheapest Xiaomi is more accurate than all. I am wondering if my Huawie watch 2 has faulty sensors...
It is a shame Huawie is not addressing this...
I'm having the same issue. Currently using Pixel 2 XL and Huawei Watch 2 Classic. Please join this thread and send a bug report so we can get it fixed. Thanks! https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/77606997
3C Battery Watch, available on Play Store only, the battery monitoring tool for Wear OS smartwatches.
★ Display %, mA, mV, temperature and remaining time in one screen.
★ Tap to display historical data for each.
★ Mobile app can connect to wear app to show full historical data.
Beta 0.3
In this beta, I've made both the wear and mobile app.
Both must have the same package name to be able to communicate with each other. So the mobile app cannot be the toolbox nor battery manager. At least not directly.
Here are the possibilities:
- One independent wear app for each app accessing it: toolbox or battery manager.
- Existing wear app + plugin mobile app, toolbox or battery manager communicating with plugin to access wear app (itself going through wear os app).
The mobile app currently shows the main watch screen, the estimate graph, and full history using a graphic and list view.
I'm thinking of putting estimates summary (run-time, screen-on/standby/charge) and calibration summary (capacity) into the main screen, with taps to open new screens for graphics, history, detailed estimates and detailed calibration, similarly to battery manager.
It's in beta, so any feedback is welcome.
I've downloaded and paid for the full version of the all in one toolbox you've created. Love it!
Would you know of anyway to get this working with my galaxy frontier 3 watch and note 20 ultra 5g? Would love to test this out on my Samsung devices.

The frontier 3 is tizen-based if I'm correct, so it won't work on it. I'll be looking at Tizen development to see if I can port the app to that OS.

You are correct... id likely assume me along with many others have the galaxy watch series vs. Google wear OS watches.. once you are ready, I'd more than be welcome to testing tizen based version.. as I feel the Samsung based watches goes more in depth with watches vs. Wear OS.

I have the mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 2020 and it delivers everything I need. I'm not into sports so I disabled all mobvoi specialized apps and I'm getting 3 days and half on full charge, 2 days and half before. It has google pay, talks and is perfect for my need. I'm looking into getting the ticwatch Pro 3 which has longer battery life and is faster. The pro 3 is impressive with all sports feature one can wish. My wife had the Galaxy Active 2 but sold it for a Mikael Corss watch running Wear OS, she's very happy with it. No sports addict either, so health features are of no interest to us.
On the developement side, it's way easier to develop for Wear OS than tizen where one will have to code the watch app in C/C++ and the Android app in Java. I've setup the dev environment which requires both Eclipse IDE and Android Studio IDE to be installed.
Anyway, smart watches have a long road ahead to become way better.
