status 0 error comes due to bad binaries file. Just update binaries of that zip or give a shot from CWM 6.0.1.1.

For updation of binaries->Just extract any CWM File of Galaxy R at your PC/mobile. It will show 2-3 folders. Go to Meta-info folder->In the end of Folders you will see 2 files. one is Update script & second is Update-binaries. These Wrong update binaries become problem of Status 0.
For flashing CWM 6.0.1.1-> Flash This file using CWM
Just click "Show Content" if you think you are Newbie.

Buddy, I have given then CWM 6.0.1.1. extract the inside files. Just follow the above process ( Copy paste of Update-binary file).
MJ buddy, I think we must create the Status error thread with solution coz its so hard to make understand "HOW TO" for the same.

Mj asked me to flash the CWM zip that u gave me so thats exactly what i did. I flashed the zip via CWM and then tried flashing the other zip files(which had failed earlier) and it didnt work. So to be clear - u want me to extract the zip u provided and replace the binaries in the zips(whose flashing failed) with the one from CWM 6.0.1.1 ? and then compress it into zip format (via winzip or winrar). Am i right ?

Yes buddy, so instead of compressing it, just use Winrar. open both files (i.e. error one & CMW)-> Delete update binaries file from Error one-> extract File (update binaries) from CWM.-> Just Drag & drop using mouse the extracted file to Error Ziped file-> Just press ok whatever Winrar says(it will add it in the file)-> Flash that error file now & report.
@MJ, i think you have made a thread regarding CWM errors..??

Stock ROM yes but i use CWM recovery for all practical purposes. As all zips are given in CWM flashable formats including ones as basic as Superuser.zip . Currently I am on X-perience ROM and im using CWM 6.0.1.1. before which i was using CWM 5.5.x

[Q]Please help me to install CM7.2 Jelly Smart ROM on my Vodafone Smart 2 v860

I already flashed my phone, using fastboot, with a custom ROM and rooted my phone so i'm not a total idiot (just half).
Could you please explain to me how to flash the JellySmart ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287172
I do not understand how to flash A5 and A5-1 to my phone. Every ROM i looked at had lots of .img files, but this ROM has 2 parts (A5 and A5-1), each one with lots of folders, system files and only one .img file (boot.img).
Please enlighten me.

Well, first of all, download both .zips and place them on the root of the SDCard. Don't extract the content of the zips. Then reboot into recovery and do a factory reset and format /system and /custpack from mounts and storage. Then go back and choose install zip from sd card and select the A5 one. After installing boot-up and then go back into recovery and flash the A5-1 zip. Boot-up and you`re done.
Thanks for the info. I've managed to install it, but now the phone won't find my bluetooth headset... dammit!

If it was a zip file, yes.
You could also look in the /system/ folder and see if there is an apk file to install it, but then it installs as a user app (in /data/app) instead of a system app (/system/app).
Also, you will most likely need to re-install this each time you install a new version of KatKiss if you install it with recovery.
Do you have a link to where you got this from? If you do it would make it easier to help.

Correct. Looking through that thread it confirms that you should install through recovery.
As always, it us a good idea to make a nandroid backup in recovery just in case.

Busybox 1.21.1 Flashable zip???

Hi,
I hope this is the right place to ask this, I'm looking for a Busybox 1.21.1 zip file to install by flashing via CWM on my HTC One S (S4). For some reason i can't install Busybox from the app downloaded from the market, so i believe this is probably the best way to do so. (unless someone else knows a better way, which would be appriciated)
I've searched here and only found one that has SuperSU bundled with it, i only need Busybox as i already have Super SU installed and updated to the latest version.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I deleted the supersu.apk and the su file. When i tried to flash the zip file, it gave me an error (status 6) and the installation aborted.
I haven't had a problem flashing via CWM before so i'm unfamiliar with this error. Does it have something to do with the zip file i'm using?

Thats where i got the Busybox 1.21.1 & SuperSu zip from. I used the first one, which downloads to xbin.
I've attachted the zip file that i tried flashing, i removed SuperSU apk & SU file from that zip.
Is there a noticable difference between TWRP & CWM that warrant changing it? I've assumed CWM is the better recovery as it seem the more popular.

I have a look soon and see what I can do. TWRP is the better recovery and you can use goo manager to flash it for you but you are a bit better off getting version 2.3.3.0.
OK thanks, I might try it out. How do I go about switching from CWM to TWRP? I'm guessing you can't just flash it as its a recovery file.

If it don't work I put it in one of my zips.
I tried that zip but I get the same 'status 6' error with CWM. I tried installing TWRP using Goomanager but everytime I try to install via the app it says 'no recovery file found for your device'
I have a HTC One S, is there another way of switching from CWM to TWRP to see if I can flash the zip file?

Download this here and flash it how ever you flashed CWM.
I've managed to get TWRP installed, but I still get the same 'status 6' error when trying to install..... So the zip file isn't the issue then. What is a status 6 error?

How do I install this carbon rom on my P6200?

Hi All,
I've downloaded the carbon rom form xda developer's site but it does not see to install with odin.
Can you please tell me if there is other flashing software that I need to have to use this rom?
I'm attaching a screen shot of what the rom file looks like when extracted.

Yeah you don't want to extract the zip file, but copy the .zip to an sd card and install it from custom recovery.
If you don't have custom recovery you would go here https://goo.im/devs/daniel_hk/recovery/TWRP/p6200/ and download and flash in Odin (its the 2.8.0.0 that ends in .tar, you put that in the PDA box)
