i have 3 wifi routers in my house, 1 main and 2 extender/bridge (dd-wrt). I can connect to the main router, but the other 2 routers always gives me connected but no internet.
Any idea how to fix this?

Hey, so I just picked this up but I can't connect to 3G or Wifi?
Have you gone to the settings menu and wireless, turned on wifi, and then selected a network? Are you using your own wifi? Is there wifi available where you are? Is there 3G available where you are?
We need to know the steps you've tried so we can help you.
Wifi - it tells me it is connected, but cannot browse unless I disconnect wifi when it happily connects using 3G. I can check the router and it has the Samsung's MAC address on its list of connected devices. Anyone else having trouble with wifi?

Someone else was having problems with 5ghz vs. 2.4ghz in their router. Are you broadcasting wireless-N at 5ghz? Have you tried rebooting the router, and a battery pull on your phone?
I don't think I am broadcasting at 5GHz - what should I be broadcasting at? Yuck, I turned off wireless-N so it is only broadcasting b/g and now it works...
Weird - now I turned wireless N on too so the router is broadcasting a/n-b/g and everything is happy. I actually specifically turned *on* 5Ghz/2.4Ghz too so it has both (Airport Extreme router) that it will talk and the router tells me that the Captivate is talking 802.11b/g/n and now the phone is happy. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - it was driving me nuts because I could see the wifi at Starbucks!

Hi,
I have multiple devices at home using the WiFi fine (iPad, Laptops...)
But with two android devices (Nexus 5 and Galaxy S 4, both on unmodified) I have the same problem.
It connects to the network, and works just fine, but after some time, there isn't any internet connection, although it shows as if it's still connected.
By disabling and enabling Wifi I get internet connection again, but it's really annoying.
Here's my setup:
Edimax router as AP
2.4 GHz (B+G+N)
Visible ESSID
Channel number 6
Encryption: WPA 2 (AES) pre-shared key (passphrase)
No MAC Filtering
EDIT: This router is a switch with wireless, it is connected to a diffrent router that is connected to the internet.
What can I do? Should I modify any of my WiFi settings?
Thanks!
did you try to disable energy saver?

If asking you're whether I had disabled the WiFi optimization in the WiFi settings, yes I have...
I have just only remembered that this router is actually a switch with wireless. The internet is connected to the other router, which is connected to the router i'm asking about (EDIMAX) which acts as a switch.
Hey Guys, I post it just want to help someone may have some WIFI problem as what i got. I spent almost a day to figure out how to get my google pixel WIFI back to normal.
First, my home network: I have 1 x CISCO router ( CISCO DSL Modem / router from ISP supplier), WIFI optional disabled; it connects to my ASUS AC-68U which is my main router that assign IP addresses for all the devices.
AC-68U connects to a 24 port DLINK smart switch for all wired devices ; an UBIQUITI AC-PRO AP connect at DLINK switch to extent WIFI coverage.
After I upgrade Ubiquiti AP firmware and the AC-68U firmware, my google pixel start getting WIFI connection issue. It keeps disconnect and reconnect. After done a lot research, I tried factory reset pixel, factory reset AC-68U and Ubiquiti AP, problem still there. Pixel WIFI didn't work with Ubiquiti SSID (both 2.4/5g) and AC-68U SSID; BUT it works with other wireless network, it works at the mall, my work place...
TO FIX IT, you need to login the CISCO router and DISABLE IPV6, and also DISABLE IPV6 on AC-68U too. It looks like google pixel doesn't like IPV6.
I hope it will help someone.
Hey everyone,
So I've been expernecing this problem for over month. Basically im connected to my wifi on 2.4ghz and suddenly my connection will drop and I check that its now connecting to 5ghz but it doesn't actually connect to it its just keeps connecting and disconnecting every second until it finally connects back to 2.4ghz. And then after few minutes of strong connection ill drop again and same thing.
Im only experiencing this at work. There isn't 2 different ssid for 5ghz or 2.4ghz just one ssid, I was able to find out that they are using dual band router so I can't change anything the router part. is there an app or some setting I can toggle with to enforce 2.4ghz band only? Ive already turned off smart switch and scanning but problem still here.
Thanks in advance!!
I have this phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
It can not connect to some airport wifi that requires you to login/enter some info after connection. For example, it can not connect to the wifi at ORD chicago airport. But I have no trouble connecting to wifi using my laptop.
The phone had no trouble connecting to home wifi, or hotel wifi that requires further authentication after connection.
What could be the problem?
