I have got Lineage 16 and created 3 different users:
owner;
user A;
user B.
Further than that, I was able to enable USB debugging only for the owner profile.
Neither "user A" or "user B" has this setting or even developer tools.
- I tried enabling developer tools, but nothing happens after clicking on "build number" multiple times.
Can you guys help me enable USB debugging for these secondary profiles?

Hello, and welcome to XDA Assist! Have you tried enabling it from Developer Options? If not, tap 7 times on Settings>About Phone>Build Number, and this will unlock developer options for you. From there, you can enable Android Debugging. If you just want to enable USB, go to Storage, tap on the three dots on the top right, and choose USB options, and select MTP.
Good luck!
So on my Galaxy A8 I have developer options unlocked with USB debugging on and when I plug in USB to my computer it asks me if i want to allow access to phone data. Deny obviously makes it so its only charging but accept and I can access files (all well and good so far). However when I go to Tap for other USB options it has options for Use USB for: Transferring files, USB tethering, MIDI, Transferring images, and charging phone only... however I can't actually change any of these options.... So why can't I change the options, and is Transferring images ptp?

A8 USB
I have this problem too. I can 't choose for other usb options. I haven't enable USB debugging.
Hi, if you enable developer options then you can choose under developer options - default USB configuration - which option you want.
Phil
i tried all of those options and none of them work, is there any other ideas?
I noticed that in the developer options there is an option for wireless debugging. Does it work?
Can somebody explain to me how can I use it?
Is it like a USB debugging, only we don't use cable?
Wireless debugging is a new feature in developing, which allows developer to leave USB cable behind and connect your phone to your computer via ADB completely over Wi-Fi. To use wireless debugging head to Developer Options from Settings –> System –> Advanced or at the bottom of the Settings app. Tap the "Wireless debugging" option, check "Always allow on this network," then press "Allow.".

It works great. I had read about it in the past but this is my first phone to implement that
Does this work if the PC is ethernet wired and not on wifi? Same local wan (router). I am getting error that the target machine (phone Oneplus 8T) actively refused it. Used: adb tcpip 5555. Set Dev Options on to wireless debugging, etc. Used phone ip address.
Good afternoon
I have a Chromecast Ultra (not Google with Chromecast) and I would like to be able to activate USB debugging to correct overscan on my TV (it is not possible to correct with my TV because it is too old) using the wm overscan commands from adbshell. Do you know if it is possible?
Up, please

If in Android -> Settings -> Developer options an option called "USB Debugging" isn't available then you've lost.

Hi,
SM-a536W Canadian Model
How do I enable USB Debugging on this model?
I can not find it in settings.
I have USB Tethering, is that the same?
I can not seem to get it to connect to my comp.
First of all you have to enable developer options to enable usb debugging. Usual steps are as follows,
Open the Settings app.
Select System.
Scroll to the bottom and select About phone.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Build number 7 times.
Return to the previous screen to find Developer options near the bottom.
Scroll down and enable USB debugging.
Thank You
