Hi, I've seen the hybrid microSD + dualsim adaptor that may have the S7 by default, but only in certain countries.
I have currently an S6 Duos (regular version, I didn't find the Edge in dual sim).
Do you think that would be real?
the second slot is either for a microsd card or sim card

are you sure? I was refering to Europe, as far as I see in EU it will be like this
The European and U.S. variants don't have dual sim; dual sim requires to use two baseband chips, which is adds an additional cost to the manufacturer, therefore you can guess Samsung will only implement it on markets with high demands for such products (China, India...)

The ones offered in Belgium on pre-order seem to have Dual-SIM...
The SM-G930F and SM-G935F which are, respectively, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge for the European market, are not dual sim.
So what the well is the hybrid SIM and microSD slot?
Ps: Huawei P8 lite also have this with only one imei and support 2 sim cards...

They just use the same sim tray worldwide to minimise costs.
Because they use a hybrid SIM tray does not mean your handset supports more than one sim card.

If you assume the physical connectors for a second SIM is in the tray of the SIM/SD slot of all major versions.
But there was a discussion if only the Exynos version that aims at the Asian market will get also the connectors for the second SIM.
From experience Samsung often build a range of phones and sells them under the same model no. That leads to an uncertainty until the last minute.
In Hong Kong they usually first sell the regular international one (F) and after a while also the (mainland China targeting) Dual SIM version (D or whatever).
If physically a second SIM card is connected over the small tray... it still needs to be managed by the OS. I am curious to see if all versions of Samsungs OS will have that capability.

maybe you are right, we shall see
this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/user-manual-samsung-galaxy-s7edge-t3321948 then page 133 of the hand book shows all about the sim draw
i don´t get it, should i be able to enable the dual sim in all the variants (maybe changing the sim trail) or some models will support it and others don´t?

I think its only
Model numbers SM 9350 and SM 9300 for China and HK
Model numbers SM 935FD and SM 930FD for SE Asia
Well i guess dual sim only for exynos version..
Is it hardware or software related? I mean, in latter case, one could use a custom ROM in order to enable dual SIM compatibility.

Because of how the tray looks on the S7 people were hoping it's already ready to go for Dual SIM, but it isn't S7 manual explains there's a SIM tray that supports 1 SIM + 1 micro SD card, and then there's a SIM tray that supports 1 SIM + 1 SIM or micro SD card (meaning you either have two SIMs in or 1 SIM and 1 micro SD, can't use 3 of them at the same time). But as of right now Europe and US are getting the 1 SIM only phones, as of right now Dual SIM isn't available. Maybe if you dig you could find it on some Asian shop which is usually where they get Dual SIM phones, maybe India too?
I have a dual sim S7, other than having dual sim, what's the difference between dual sim and not dual sim S7?
Any update on this? I am about to buy an s7 edge but definitely not willing to shell out a ~100EUR more for the DUOS model. (I am in Europe, getting the Exynos version won't be a problem)
Dual sim card need full network band. This is only can be achieved by Qualcomm. Qualcomm has the patent of cdma standard
So dual sim need supported from Hardware .Exynos version often sells in Europe. So Samsung do not need to worry cdma or another standard. Europe use WCDMA.
Is there any dual sim adaptor that would allow the use of a CDMA sim and a GSM sim in a Verizon branded S8 Plus?
I have service from Total wireless and T mobile and would like to have them in one single phone. T mobile side would be phone and message only.
I got one of the Simore adaptors and it keeps changing from CDMA/LTE to Global network and does nothng on either sim. They have gone dark on there responses now.
thanks
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the electronics is just missing for a second sim so there's no adapter that will make it work. If it did have the ability to have a second sim it probably would have just shipped with a dual sim tray like other models with advertised dual sim support.
I have not seem dual sim phones for US markets only the global GSM models, I wanted to try and use CDMA and GSM networks in US.
Hello everyone, forgive my poor English. My device is n985f / DS. I am currently in Chinese mainland. N985f / DS, SIM card slot is physical card slot + ESIM. The Chinese mainland does not support ESIM. Can we turn ESIM cards into physical SIM?Thank you
You can exchange your eSIM to physical SIM at your mobile network operator office

thank you! I want to turn the cell phone ESIM card slot into a physical card slot and realize dual physical card slots, because I have two physical SIM cards
Hi there,
I have an Oppo Find X5 Lite which is dual sim. I have two sim cards.
Sim card 1: New Zealand on 2degrees
Sim card 2: Australia on Telstra
I travel regularly between both countries. When I'm on WiFi, both sim cards register as WiFi calling which is great, however when I'm out and about in either country, one of the sim cards is always in roaming.
I'm wondering if it's ever been possible for VoLTE of the overseas SIM card to work over the data of the local SIM card.
It's a feature that Apple has on their iPhones but I can't seem to find much about it for Android.
Hopefully someone has a hack I can use to get this to work.
Thanks all!
Is it possible to select 5G in both Sim1 and eSim in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G phone(Indian Version)? If how can it be set? Anybody please advise.
Waiting with Thanks...
In settings>connections>cellular network you can set mode for sim and esim 2g/3g/4g/5g.
I have model F2 5g- F916B EU and use dual sim.

Thank you GRIZZLY.But when I set eSIM to 5G/LTE/3G/2G(auto connect) ,the Nano SIM changes automatically to LTE/3G/2G(auto connect). And when I set Nano SIM S1 to 5G/LTE/3G/2G(auto connect),the eSIM automatically changes to LTE/3G/2G(auto connect). What is the correct procedure to set both the eSIM and Nano SIM to 5G/LTE/3G/2G(auto connect)?
Waiting with Thanks....

Interesting, I don't used sim from phisical slot to 5g connecting because my sim card is too old for 5g but now I see identically like in your situation.
When I tap 5g/4g/3g/2g mode for physical sim I see only max 4g for esim and the other way round is similar- probably impossible 5g for both sim.
